I got one for Christmas. It looks cool but I don't know what to do with it. I want to use it right away without reading the manual! :upsidedow Can anyone give me the short version of how to use it? I'll read the manual later. :)

It's a wireless ear thing for cell phones. That's about all I know about it.

Turn on blue tooth on your phone.
Put the earpiece in. Turn it on.
Set your phone to route all calls to the earpiece.

Personally I find it easier to pull over. Although my friend has an awesome phone where if you flip it open, it reads your text messages aloud!

Well that sounds easy enough. But it looks like I have to download the program to my phone (?).

they vary so unfortunately you must read the book

Thanks. I think I do need to read the manual. I don't know why I have an aversion to reading manuals. I guess it's because they generally use about 1000 words when 1 or 2 will do. :upsidedow

I am very happy to have the Blue Tooth. A little (or a lot of) reading won't hurt. :)

I got one, too. Mine just set up in 5 minutes and I only had to look at three pages of the manual to do it. However, I'm the nut who likes to know everything about my gadgets, so I'll be reading the rest of the manual on my break. (Yes, I am that person who tells you all the features of your gadget that you didn't know even a year after you got it)

I wish I were more like that, Suzanne. I rely on my DH too much for that stuff. He zips right on through that stuff and likes doing it. :) I like the ease of technology, just not the ramp up. We've had a lot going on since returning from vacation. Not fully unpacked. Christmas. Trying to get back to normalcy.

One of the reasons I like the idea of the B.T. is it seems like it would be less radiation going to the head from the cell phone. Sometimes I'll talk on the cell phone and it won't be long at all and it's hot. I wonder about that. Can't be good.

I also like the hands free aspect.

I love the "concept" of the Bluetooth. I had several of them -- they kept breaking. :sad2: I have heard that the newer ones are much better than the ones I had. I love driving hands free -- it is awesome! :thumbsup2

I now have a Jawbone (same concept, different design). As much as I am on the phone and driving, I always want both hands on the wheel.

What I did to make setting up my Bluetooth (and Jawbone) easier was to go to my mobile phone provider and they set ("synced") it up for me. I am not a big manual reader myself. I usually just ask someone who knows and I learn so much faster when they show me. ;)
