What will happened to this animation studio under Disney since it was part of Fox merger deal?

Rumor seems to be that Disney will likely shut it down or sell it off. Personally, I hope they keep it and use it to produce more CGI movies while Disney Animation returns to hand drawn 2D films, but I know that’s a long shot. Considering the lackluster performance of Ferdinand, it’s not looking good for Blue Sky under Disney.

Yeah, I don't know what they could do with it. They don't really need another full animation studio, however maybe they could re-task it to something specific, like Marvel animated shows and movies. It would need a niche. Currently they are too similar to Disney & Pixar in style and subject matter. I think it more likely they will sell it off, but there are always possibilities. It'll be a while before this deal is even final and we know anything about the handling of the assets.
