Okay--staying off site 1/11-1/18. This is proving more challenging than picking a Disney resort and or I am putting way to much thought into it. I think I have the area I want to stay in but there seems to be a ton of different "resorts" to pick from plus a ton of different ways to rent them. I have mainly been looking on VRBO. So are they pretty much the same and is VRBO a good way to rent?

Definitely not the same. Windsor Hills is more upscale than the other two. It is a resort community with rentals from 2 bedroom condos to 6 bedroom pool homes. The resort amenities are great and it's a gated community. I am also not a fan of VRBO because they add in crazy fees. If you find a place you like on VRBO email the owner/manager and ask if they will book outside VRBO to save you the fees. If you're considering Windsor Hills, try this site www.welcometowindsorhills.com. The site has a booking section where you will deal directly with property owners.

Thanks but are Blue Heron and Oakwater okay places? We are going in Jan and not sure how much of the resort stuff we will use plus my daughters are 22 and they might want to go to Disney Springs instead of the pool.

We’ve stayed at the Blue Heron 3 times and love it there. The room is not fancy, but it’s nice and spacious. And the dual balconies are great! We barely spend any time at the resort, so the location, convenience and cost are perfect!
