I love BB but have definitely been disappointed in the atmosphere a couple times. Wait the extra time for a better table. We were once put on the outer edge with half the party looking out at the bayou but constantly having wait staff member squeeze by behind them and the half of the party staring into the bathroom entrance. (There should not have been a table there in the first place!). Others have shared a similar frustration with a "bathroom view" so do request waterfront and be willing to wait. It can be a magical meal for sure, so it's worth the wait!

We had something similar one time, except our waterside table was behind the plants on the left side of the room. It lacked a bit in the "water" part of "waterside."

Add me in as a fan of the filet.

We have eaten there three times and LOVE it. Get reservations early and if you can convince them at all, try and get a table further into the restaurant. The last time we ate there, the table was right at the entrance, not dark and cozy, pretty noisy and totally lost the ambiance that makes Blue Bayou so amazing. It was a pretty disenchanting experience. When my hubby and I went for our anniversary though, we were further in, closer to the edge where you could see the boats and hear crickets chirping and it was magical!!!

I am hoping my son can get kids meal. Not sure, i know I have read about some older kids being able to order and be charged the kids prices. I honestly don't see anything else he'd eat.

Au Gratin potatoes are sliced potatoes baked in a cheese sauce.

I think the food is great there. The best in Disneyland, by far. The scalloped potatoes are wonderful, so is the filet.
I've never been disappointed by the food, except the last time I went, and i ordered some kind of skirt steak, I think. Won't do that again. Excited for my next visit to the BB.

We got the surf and turf, but substituted the Boursin mashed potatoes instead of the scalloped. OMG, they were AMAZING!

Any one know if they will allow you to sub fruit for the apps? I don't like soups, salads, and I don't want the shrimp but if I have to id take the shrimp over the others.

I was looking at the menu and saw the surf and turf, and noticed the price for either is only two or three dollars difference. Is the filet with the lobster a lot smaller than just the filet alone? I'd like to do the s&t but not if the filet is real skimpy! TIA!

I am doing the F! dining package with my 10 yr old daughter and am hoping she can order from the kids menu ( also think I had read on here that others had been able to do that?)

I have only ordered the surf and turf. I can't comment upon ounces, but it has always been what I consider a decent portion. I have seen the filet mignon
being served on more than one occasion and can't say the size was obviously smaller or larger.
Between the dinner rolls with butter, salad (Or gumbo) Filet mignon, lobster tail, and potatoes, you might manage room for dessert too. Or maybe not. I usually cannot.

As of January the surf and turf was indeed on the Fantasmic! Dinner package. Hopefully it will still be on there when you go.

I don't remember if the size was different. I don't think it was. All I know is that it's plenty of food and I felt like I would explode if i tried to eat it all

I had the salmon on my last visit and it was AMAZING!! My husband wasn't a huge fan of the chicken though.

We had the F! surf and turf last Monday. The food was good. The service was terrible. Very disappointing, especially considering both the cost and the fact that it was meant to celebrate a special occassion.

Does she like chicken at all? The Tesoro Island Chicken entrée is delicious. So say my taste buds.
