Here is a photo of the wedge salad. It's literally a wedge of lettuce. LOL.

And the cookie boat, it's like a cookie cake. I can't really describe it, it's got a cake texture, but tastes like a yummy cookie.
We will be going for our 20th anniversary dinner. The ribs sound good but thought I heard they weren't there anymore. I could have got that wrong though. I haven't been there in years and years. In the 80's they had a spinich stuffed chicken that I used to get.

When we went in November the ribs were still there :thumbsup2

Oh good! I think I will try the ribs! It is something I don't usually get. I will pass on the head of lettuce! :rotfl: Actually, that sounds like an easy way to make a salad for dinner at home. I'll just cut the head into four pieces, pour dressing on top and tell my family it is "wedge salad"! I think they would be horrified, but it sure must be easier than all that chopping! :rotfl2:

That was one of the best salads I have ever had. It was sooo good.

The salad is SO good. And it comes with every meal as part of the price :thumbsup2

Well, if it comes with it, fine. But I prefer my salad mixed up- with Ranch. :rotfl:

I agree. I don't get the whole wedge salad thing. I know people keep saying how yummy it is but it doesn't seem very tempting to me. I like to have lots of stuff in my salad and not just a hunk of lettuce.

That's what I thought too until I took that first bite. It's all in the dressing.

So what does the dressing taste like?

I'd say it's close to a balsamic taste...not tangy or really sweet. I think it's feta cheese that's on the side too...that just makes it perfect. Ya just gotta try it. I wish they offered a bigger version of just the salad. That's what I'd order.

Well, the dressing sounds interesting but see, I don't like feta cheese so seeing that in the picture just adds to my disinterest in it. I'm hoping to make it to the BB sometime this year before our APs expire so I'll try it if we go (minus the feta).

If they had a bigger version would it just be a whole head of lettuce sitting on the plate? :rotfl2: Just kidding! :goodvibes

What are the portion sizes like would it be easy to buy a dinner and an appetizer and split them between two adults...

The portions are definitely large enough to split, be aware that they do charge a $5 split plate fee. With that you are both supposed to get salad or soup and all the sides.

The cookie boat is more brownie like than cake like. It's like a giant chocolate chip cookie brownie, or a blondie brownie. :) Soooooooo good!!!!

That salad is sooooooooooo good!!! The dressing is heavenly, the lettuce is always crisp and yummy, it has feta cheese, bacon and a tomato slice on the side. I don't like tomatoes much but I always eat the tomato with that salad. If I could get the gumbo and a salad there I'd be in heaven. :)

I want to make sure I am reading this right so if we split plate we get one entree and then two of everything else....Thank You so much that is probably what we will do then...I am not a big eater but DH is so if we split it would be perfect...

Yup, that's how it's supposed to be done. There have been reports of them only giving one starter and one set of sides but most recently the reports have been you each get your own. :)

The cheese is blue cheese crumbles I'm pretty sure- not feta. Because I dislike blue cheese and they wouldn't take it off my salad, but I tried it anyway and was surprised to like it!

We always split a dinner and dessert. with the sides, bread and salad, it's more than enough

Oh no! Blue cheese is even worse! But it looks like from the picture that it is on the side so I can handle that.

Ok I so have to disagree on the salad, in comparison to the old salad its a huge bore!!

The old salad was more similar to the one they now serve at Cafe Orleans, with a mix of greens, candied nuts, and tomatos, it was a real salad. I think the wedge salad is a cheap 70's looking thing. But then I am not a fan of iceberg lettuce and I don't eat sausage, the dressing is fine though. But WOW! it seem's so cheap. I would rather eat the yummy salad at Jazz Kitchen.

BTW- if you don't want the salad you can also get gumbo

PinkBudgie- Yes they still have the ribs.

These are photos I took a few weeks ago of both the lunch and dinner menus.
