BLT vs BCV

BFF and I are planning on taking our kids back to WDW in the spring. They'll both be 22 months at the time. Since we'll be minus our DHs, I've been considering BLTs or BCVs since both give us relatively convenient access to 2 parks.

I'm leaning towards BLTs, since we'll probably spend the majority of our time at the Magic Kingdom. My biggest concern is the pool at BLT. Does anyone have any pictures of this? Is there a Toddler area or Splash-pad, like at SSR or Kidani?

Any other thoughts on the most Toddler friendly DVC in your opinion would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

BLT is probably the MOST toddler friendly DVC. This is because you can get to MK and Epcot via the Monorail. Which lets you leave your toddler in his stroller without having to wake him up and take him out (as you would have to on a bus).

There is a toddler play area at the pool of BLT. You can see pictures of the pool area at http://baylaketower.net/pool.html The 3rd picture in the 3rd row is a picture of the toddler play area. There are fountains and such that spray up that he can run around in. There is also beach area where a toddler can play in the sand.

I agree. Based on your plans, Bay Lake Tower is your the right resort for you. :thumbsup2

walking to the MK - wins for me.

BLT - besides if the children have a melt down at MK - it is a very short trip back to BLT.

BLT!!!! It is super convenient to the MK and Chef Mickeys is right there.

What more could 2 22 month olds need?

We own at both... the BCV has the best pool on property, but for that age... being close to MK makes more sense.

Thanks so much!! That confirms my thoughts. I just couldn't locate any pictures of the pool. Thanks for pointing them out for me. :goodvibes

I do agree that BCV has the best pool on property but it is really for older kids. SAB has so many turns and areas that it really is hard to watch kids unless you are right next to them in the pool.

And if the kids have a melt down it's a ten minute walk back or a quick monorail ride back (1st stop on the way back). I think that being so close to MK is perfect for parents with young children. It is so easy to get back to the villa for that a nap after a few hours at MK.

Thanks for the replies! I'm wait-listed for a 2 bedroom at BLT. Unfortunately, nothing at BLT was available. That's what happens when you decide to take a trip at the last minute (since 5 months out is last minute these days ;) ). I ended up booking 2 studios at Kidani Village. Not ideal transportation-wise, but the pool is fun.

BLT has a great splash pad. Also, you can use the one at the Contemporary. Further, the pool itself has a zero depth entry which is great for little kids.
