I was thinking along these same lines. The article stated that Disney would annouce this today, would it be resonable to assume that points charts, price per point and other specific info will be given today?

Nope, not reasonable based on history. We were BUYING AKV and didn't have point charts yet, as I recall.

I bet we don't see point charts today- but I hope so- if sales begin Sunday, I would hope they come out this week. Although if I recall right- folks purchased AKV without official word on a points chart- correct? I could never do that.

It is not impossible that we are talking $180pp- but I would expect at least a $50 incentive. I really think the big NYC announcement tomorrow will tie into this- NYC is probably the only place in AMerica they could get away with that $180 price point without getting laughed at. New Yorkers just view the value of real estate very differently an most others. $1,000,000 for a 2 bedroom apartment is normal- so they would be less likely to balk at a huge price point. There are deep pockets in NYC and DVC knows it. I wonder if they will convert the current WOD to a new Doorway to Dreams? It is big enough- even if they were to have model rooms for 3-4 resorts. The place is huge.

Great news! We will be at the World next Tuesday and plan on taking lot of pictures of teh models which one can only assume will be open.

Who knows, we might come back with BLT points

Well, that wouldn't be too different than the standard views at the BWV. Those are practically mythical at this point. As an SSR owner, I kinda feel like it's our turn to have a home-point advantage, even if there will still be a ton of competition with each other. I wonder if Disney did this to boost resales of SSR to maintain the integrity of DVC as a whole. Many have speculated that it wouldn't make sense for DVD to improve a resort that is already sold out, but I think the Treehouses will absolutely boost SSR resales and that's good for everyone.

Why? The addition of treehouses still wouldn't make me buy Saratoga, especially if they are all large 3 bedroom villas. Anyone know for sure what sizes they will be?

Hmmm... I'm thinking SSR points will gain some point value with having the treehouses. Imagine trying to book one of those at 7 months. Not likely.

Yeah, that is what I was wondering. If they are comparable in size and points to a Grand Villa, I have no interest.

Uh oh... just watched the whole video and I'm not liking the room decor... have to watch it again... first impression is disappointment. I really expected something 'WOW'... all I got was, 'eh'.

this is exciting...that youtube was hilarious. We are going to BWV in 17 days, I can't wait to see the models. The rooms in the video look kind of blah.

ok..so we were all set to nix BLT and buy AKV but if points are 112$ a point, we may have to reconsider. My hubby is calling our guide now to find out what the incentives are going to be for AKV now that BLT is being announce. He told us the incentives are due to change on the 20th.

This really did brighten my day after our EAGLES lost last night.

I purchased AKV on the first day of sales (at the SSR sales center), and point charts were available at that time.

Anyone know if the treehouse villas are 3 bedrooms? I'm thinking back to info I read months ago about them and I think I remember reading they were all 3 bedrooms. I'm only about 40% sure on that though.

I would like to know this too, although I would not buy SSR to book the treehouse villa, I could see trying at the 7 month window

And the You Tube Vidoe is quite amusing... Nice editing on the Monorail ride, starting in one direction then ending going another way lol
