BLT Pool refurb?

I just read on a website that BLT pool will be closed from 2/1/16 - 3/18/16.
I just made a reservation yesterday and DVC did not mention this.
I am very upset if this is true, I borrowed points from my 2017 year to stay at BLT and now I find out pool may be closed.

Anyone know anything about this?

The pools and water play area at CR will still be open albeit not quite as close. It's also not quite as cramped as BLT's pool is.

NOT HAPPY. We are taking 2 trips this year and no more until 2017. Both trips have ride and now pool closures. I know as owners they owe us nothing but this resort is premium points, they could at least offer waterpark usage for the closure time. I know CR is next door but putting both resorts at one pool will majorly overcrowd the very limputed seating. This is the first week of F&G & spring breaks and I would never expect renovation of a pool during this time. Do they ever finish early?

I can't stay that I've ever seen the CR pool crowded although have not been in prime time spring break. Still, I think with it being a convention resort it tends to have a little lower pool usage. I understand the disappointment - had it over and over for years with the Matterhorn being closed at DL when we would go to CA to visit relatives - but I personally wouldn't be too concerned about the room at the CR pool.

Feb and March, while it can be warm, is not typically crazy crowded at the pool when I have been there. With a larger pool at the Contemporary it should be fine. We typically will use the Contemp pool instead of BLT due to it being larger.

Pool rehabs have to happen, and no matter when they happen someone is pissed. They cant close and refurb every pool in January. As far as ride closures, that is always going to happen.

When we stayed at BLT last April, we thought that pool was overcrowded and loud. We ended up going over to the CR pool instead anyway. It's not far and it's never crowded.
