BLT - Models are OPEN - Photo Tour!

The decor make me want to barf! JMHO, of course.

Thanks for posting the pics though!

I definately do not like the decor. It doesnt have that disney feel or look to me, except for the forced mickey and goofy pictures on the wall. The rooms would fit perfectly in South Beach. It reminds me of a snooty night club lounge. I was worried about having regrets about buying into AKV, but I'm glad I did now. The location is awesome though. Thanks for the pictures!

The 1BR has a balcony off the bedroom, but floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room (no balcony there).

Hi Doc....is the balcony in the one bedroom (off the bedroom), about the same size as the studio's balcony or larger ? I'm assuming larger ?

Also, the space between the kitchenette and vanity sink----how much room is there ? Is it tight to turn around or have more than two people in that area ? I just can't get a feel about the floor space there ?

Thanks

The balcony for the 1br is bigger because the studio balcony area has a major structural column taking up part of the space (on the side against the 1br living room).

It is interesting that there are no renderings of the inside curve rooms and the “rectangular” rooms

The 1BR Balcony is slightly larger I think. I should have paced off the dimensions in both villas but got swept up in taking photos. I think the studio and master BR widths are similar. The Living Room space is a lot wider than either and has those great windows.

There is a reasonable amount of space betweent the vanity and kitchenette in the Studio. 2 people could use it at the same time - but not back-to-back. I think side-to-side would work.

Thanks so much Doc and bookwormd.
I know my husband kept looking at the vanity/kitchenette area of BLT and thinking it looked really tight. But photos/video just doesn't do most things justice.

I guess I can't help but say I'm a tad disappointed that the balconies aren't larger at BLT (particularily off the main bedroom). I would think with views of MK or Bay Lake, a balcony would be a focal point. But then again, it's hard to really get a "feel" for the large floor to ceiling window in the living room that I am hearing about. Maybe that makes up for lack of larger balconies ? I watched the Travel Channel special last night and still couldn't get a feel for the "view" from that window because the draperies were drawn. The living room does look really big though. I think maybe the "wow" factor with BLT comes with seeing it in person ? We recently stayed in a one bedroom AKV villa and dh really liked it. We are on the fence about where to do our 100 point add-on, but dh is leaning heavily to AKV and I think it's because he's actually seen and stayed in a room there. And the balcony is huge in the one bedroom which he really loved. I think if he could actually see BLT he might feel differently about certain aspects of the villa.

Thanks again for the report. Really appreciated.

Thanks for the photos Doc!

Am I the only one who doesn't like the decor? I couldn't buy there because I don't think I could look at that decor for long.

Oh well. To each their own.

I'm with ya. I don't even think I could stay there. That's what's so great about DVC though. Something for everyone.

the balconies are definitely bigger than what CR has now.

even the studio has a bigger one. in the models this is a big balcony for the studio - a little bigger than OKW (for studios only - not 1 or 2 bedrooms)

Doc, did your source mention the pool.

the pool is only for DVC members and guests. No pool hopping even from CR.

So that won't go over well with the CR guests.

we can use their pool - they can't use ours....

like the bathrooms in both parts (studio) and (1-bedroom) being close to the door.

love the new shelves!!!! so despite it being small - it won't feel small - because of the new areas to store stuff in....

the thing I am talking about shows up (a little of it) in Doc's pictures of the studio - the studio has one, - the 1-bedroom has 2.

they do also have some shelves (way over my head) that unless you are tall - can't be used.

Thanks for the photos Doc!

No, you are not the only one.

No, you are not the only one.

To each his own, I guess - I love it! Reminds me of a NYC hotel, which I personally enjoy. We've stayed everywhere from VWL to BCV and enjoyed them all, but this is really for us!! :goodvibes

Thanks for sharing those pictures!
I have to admit though, that the decor does nothing for me.
This may have been asked but are the Doorway to Dreams stores set up with the new BLT and Treehouse Villa models yet?

Thanks Doc! Your the greatest!

Quick Question

Are there 2 sinks in the vanity/kitchenette area? I'm a little confused by this.

Do you really fix your pop tarts in the same area that you roll your hair, apply makeup and wash up after using the toilet?

That's disgusting!!

I'm also in the group of folks that is not thrilled with the decor. Our local Rave Theater uses really modern wacked out colors. Yuck!

With that said, I may eventually buy some BLT points.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post Doc:goodvibes

Can't wait to stay there one day.

Do you know anything about the rooftop deck and what restrictions there are?
Thanks

...

There is a single sink in the Studio kitchenette ... and none in the bathroom.

What is there to fix for a pop tart? :teeth:

though there was the wet bar (sink) and a regular sink (on the other side)

so 2 sinks

already say using the tub for washing up - and definitely on each trip - making sure the door knock for the bathroom and kitchen area are CLEAN.

definitely don't like the bathroom sink in the kitchen.

fun time - you are trying to fix breakfast - while the other person is brushing their teeth.

but it is so very small - that only one person could easily fit in this area. so that shouldn't be a problem.

So you're saying it's "disgusting" to prepare something to put in your mouth in the same area where you wash your hands or curl your hair? If that's true, do you not brush your teeth in your bathroom?

And actually, if you think about it, putting something in your mouth over and over again that's been kept in the same room as a toilet is waaay more disgusting than preparing food in the same room where you simply wash your hands and face.
