Do you have to be staying at BLT or can you just show your DVC card and go to it?

You need to be staying at BLT on a reservation made by MS (cash or points) to access the observation deck and lounge.

Actually the Top of the World lounge is for BLT DVC reservations only, not cash reservations. This was made very clear during my BLT tour last week.

The TOTWL is currently open to DVC Members booking through MS, cash or points. erionm wasn't posting about CRO cash bookings.

Okay, thanks for the replies.
Our home resort is SSR and our next trip is in Oct staying at SSR... so I guess that means we are out of luck! Oh well, maybe next time.
