Usually, I try to spend a day over at Blizzard Beach, but I see it will be closed for rehab this year. Guess that forces me to either try Typhoon Lagoon or skip a water park. Will someone who loves the thrills of BB be disappointed by what TL has to offer?

We love Typhoon Lagoon the best! There is a great wave pool, with small choppy waves sometimes, and large (6 ft. I think) waves at other times. The slides are the same as BB, but perhaps not as many. I never cared for the snow theme at BB, I like the tropical theme at TL.

I do prefer BB but TL is fun also. The wave pool is the best. But be prepared to be tired after riding those waves. My DH is ready for a nap when he gets done playing in the waves.

Our 1st visit to BB was 3 years ago. I loved that place, im not really a water person. This summer we went to TL. Oh my god it was SUPER. We had the best time, but by 230 ish we had to leave cause a storm was coming in. My dd14 and friend and my husband went on the slides more then me, I love floating in the lazy river. It was the 1st time for us to do the snorkeling. I was kinda nervous, I get claustaphobic (spell?) so it took me a little bit to go in. I have to say it was my FAVORITE thing really that i have ever done.lol. my daughter couldnt believe i actually tried it. THere are alot of slides and stuff to do. You will love this place. Also the food was good. Go and have a GREAT time. I cant wait to go back next summer.

We liked TL. We really enjoyed the snorkling, too. Our favorite is still BB, but we would go back to TL.

Blizzard Beach is our favourite, but Typhoon Lagoon has lots to offer too. The lazy river area and toddler areas provide the same kind of experience. There are lots of different slides in both, too. However the family raft ride at TL is very disappointing compared to the much longer experience at BB, and for middle-aged kids (5 - 10 or so) the great Ski Patrol Training Area at BB doesn't have a counterpart at TL. On the other hand, the shark reef snorkelling experience is pretty cool at TL, too. I think it's certainly worth a try!

I love TL, I went to BB once and wasn't thrilled with the set up, I can't comment on the rides because I've never been on them there but I do know that TL has some pretty good ones.

I hadn't really had the chance to do any research on Typhoon Lagoon yet, so I was anxious to hear what everyone would have to say. I think what finally settled it for me was those two words I love: lazy river. I'm lazy... I love water... combine 'em, and I'm in heaven! I've never been snorkeling, so that'll be a cool new experience as well. Thanks to all of you for putting in your two cents!
