By popular demand...err...request....I post a brief summary of Day 3 and 4.
Day 3 was a pool day. We did nothing but swim and burn in the sun. (Well, we drank too. Heheh!)
By the way, the pina coladas are AWFULL this year. What did they do? I have to ask because the two that I have had so far were made by different people yet tasted cheep! I won't have anymore till I get to the bottom of this conspiracy!!!
That's pretty much it for Day 3.
Day 4 was started by going to breakfast at Restaurantasoraus for a character breakfast with Donald and the gang. Food was "ok" but not fantastic. Not much for character time as they always seemed to be in a hurry and never spent too much time with you. In fact, at one point, I saw Donaly pick up pen and autograph book, sign it, then throw them both back to the table as he left. Hrmmm.... Anyway, it was still pretty comfortable temp wise so we headed on out to Dinoland. There, I got to ride Triceratops Spin with my little girl TWICE in a row without getting off. It was great. Kids really eat this stuff up. After that we tried HER hand at a few games. Boy oh boy did she make out! First she one the water gun game and got a small dino then we went to the ball toss where you throw a ball and try to get it to land on a colored space. If it does, you get a prize. There are three colors for small medium and large. After about $8 and 14 balls, Julia hits THE WHITE which gives her a LARGE prize!! She won this all on her own with no help from anyone. I have pictures that say it all. A priceless moment for sure. Now to figure out how we get the LARGE turtle home to NJ. We may need to get him his own seat on the plane.
From there we did Kali River Rapids. I personally thought it was WAY too short of a ride. Thank goodness we only waited 10 minutes in line. Fast Pass was disabled for the ride. Nice way to cool off but the ride is TOO DARN SHORT! Disney, what were you thinking?????
We decided that because it was getting too hot, we would leave and go to lunch. Of course, on the way out I had to get a Turkey Leg. Yummy! Felt wierd eating it on the go and having everyone look at me but, who are they and why should I care if they stare? I'm on vacation and I could care LESS what anyone thinks!!!
We went back to the hotel and rested for a few then went to Epcot for some dinner in Japan. My InLaws offered to take Julia tonight so we were A-L-O-N-E!!! We blew about $80 on Sushi alacart for two but it was REALLY GOOD! Excellent service too. Matter of fact, we are planning to return prior to leaving. After that, we caught Illuminations. No need to describe it to you all. It was great. I had a moment or two to think of my dear mother who passed in October of last year and my good friend Jon who passsed about 2 weeks ago. By the time the show was over I had tears in my eyes but they were also tears of Joy. I was in the best place in the world for happiness. I was with my Wife and my Daughter. What more could anyone ask. I was really happy.
We left the park with the desire to return...and we will. Day 5 includes dinner at LeCellier but not much else. Look forward to a combined day 5 and 6 report sometime tomorrow night maybe.
Sorry so short.
