We are planning a half-day at each of the water parks. We have never been, so I would appreciate some opinions. We will be there in September after most schools have started. We have Wed. morning (9/14) and Fri. afternoon (9/16). Our children are 12,9,7 and 5. Which park would you choose for each day? I know the best choice is 1st thing in the morning. Is one less crowded on a Fri. afternoon (maybe less locals)? If we only pick one-which would you recommend? Thanks!

I've never been to Typhoon Lagoon but I did try Blizzard Beach last week. Lots of slides that could be enjoyed by all the ages in your party. I was told that Typhoon Lagoon had tamer rides, but having never actually gone - I am not sure.

One thing that I hadn't really prepared for was how hot the pavement got while walking between rides. Definitely bring water shoes!

last summer. My dks were 7 and 10. They enjoyed both! We can only do one this time(we leave in 3 days!!!!!!!) :cheer2: :cheer2: because we'll go to MK, EPCOT, MGM and Universal. We told them to choose and they picked BB. Both are great and have a family raft ride which is awesome. The highlight for our kids was Shark Reef at TL and Ski Patrol Training area at BB. My kids really enjoyed these!! Summit Plummet is wild at BB, your older kids might enjoy that. :Pinkbounc

My DD8 said she would recommend blizzard beach because it has alot of cool slides. It has an area made just for 6 through pre teens. Fun slides. It even has fake icebergs floating in the pool that the kids try to walk across while holding on to a net over their heads (supervised). The slides are lots of fun and the "snow" is cool looking. :charac2:

My wife and I love both, but probably give the slight edge to Blizzard Beach!

Have a good time! :cool1:

My DD 10 loves TL. We enjoy getting out in the wave pool and staying there for hours. We always take a couple of laps around the lazy river and a swim through the shark reef. The new slides there are a blast! On our last trip we also went over and rode some of the slides and enjoyed them. They weren't as thrilling as the ones at BB, but fun. We always hit BB for the slides and TL at least twice for the wave pool.

We did Typhoon Lagoon this time and had SOOO MUCH FUN!! Swimming with the sharks was an experience that I will always remember. Nerves are a horrible thing ;) . The Crush-N-Gusher was great although it did kinda bust your butt a little(LOL). There are parts of that ride where you actually come off the raft. It was great! The wave pool was neat. I banged up my knee at one of the "Falls" slides. We had a great time. It was actually the highlight of the trip. Next time we'll try BB.
