I see that this is a "family" raft ride. What ages do you think its appropriate for? It will be me, dh and dd4 & dd5. The girls aren't really swimmers yet.
It will be our first trip to a waterpark.

Thanks!

I checked several sites that list BB height limits and none are listed for Teamboat Springs... Your kiddos don't really need to know how to swim for this one, you can lift them out at the end and walk them to the exit. :goodvibes

The raft ride is not real bad. It doesnt go real fast and has no real sharp drops. I thought it was a lot of fun. My daughter was 2 1/2 and went on the family raft ride at Typhoon and we would have brought her on the one at Blizzard if we would have gone their instead.

my dd's were 6 but one is the size of a 4 yr old, neither is a strong swimmer. They both loved this ride! Even the one who usually chickens out of everything loved it. They will have no problems getting in and out of the raft, the water is very shallow. I had a harder time climbing out then they did!

I agree that this ride is completely appropriate for little ones - our small fry loved it and we did it over and over again.

My 2.5yo loved it, and has enjoyed a similar raft ride at our local water park since she was about 18 months old. It's just like a huge, long slide. The little ones sit with their legs straddling a strap on the floor of the raft and hang on to that, plus dh or I always put an arm around dd's shoulders, to keep her a little more secure.

My older dd, on the other hand, did not enjoy a similar ride at age 4, because occasionally the raft slid up the sides far enough to where she felt like she might fall out (never did, though). I don't recall Teamboat Springs' rafts going quite as high up along the sides, though. Also, she is a very cautious child and usually is the exception rather than the rule on this kind of thing. Just thought I'd mention it in case one of yours is on the cautious side.

Have fun!

We have loved Teamboat Springs since DD was 2. They are safe and I agree she had an easier time getting out than I did. There is always a nice lifeguard there to assist also, especially if you have a little one. Go on and enjoy! :thumbsup2
