Looking for advice on which water park we should go to. Our group will include a 3 1/2 year old who can't swim yet but loves the water, two thirtysomethings who don't like the speed/body slides but LOVE all tube/raft slides and rides and one fiftysomething who just likes a shady, quiet spot to read. Pools are not that important for us, mostly interested in toddler area and rides appropriate for the adults. Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

I haven't done TL with kids. Did it years ago. Did BB this time with kids. The kids had just turned 4 and 5 and neither swam, but the park issued swim jackets. They didn't spend much time in the kiddie area - I think it was a little "toddlerish" for them (the did enjoy the kiddie tube slide) and enjoyed the tamer "grown up" attractions - the family tube ride. The water slides in the kids (but not kiddie) area, and the wave pool

I liked Typhoon Lagoon more as a water park. I thought it was better laid out and easier to get around.

In short: -

BB for tubes, slides and kids area

TL for confident swimmers and chilling out.

We just got back from both. They both have their pluses and minuses. DH and I prefer the more peaceful points of TL and the 3ds like the shark reef experience. I think its more shadier there. We dont like the lazy river only because we are both tall and its a little too shallow for us.We scrape against the sides too much. Blizzard beach is much more active. We do like their lazy river alot more, but it seems its more crowded and shady places are at a premium, you must get there when it opens. The ds like the wave pool much more at typhoon lagoon. I have heard other posters say tykes peak at bb is cute, but not designed properly to see the kids etc. DH likes the family raft ride at blizzard beach. I cant do alot of these things due to back sugery. There definetely are more slides at bb. They also like the ski lift ride up to the top. Less stairs etc.
