Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon? Which do you prefer?

Blizzard Beach,why,overall better slides and I prefer the Ski resort theming.However,Typhoon Lagoon has my favorite overall slide in Crush n Gusher and a better wave pool,so even though I vote BB it's still pretty close.

I agree with the above--BB theme is much better but favorite slide is at Typhoon Lagoon.

Must not be Canadian... We are trying to escape the snow and come to enjoy your waterpark only to find pretend snow.

Wave pools and water slides

OT kind of, but has anyone seen the new South Park about the Water Park......'The water is 98 percent pee'

It's OK if you don't like them,but believe me a lot of people do as new waterparks are popping up everywhere you look,cold or warm locations,look up all the indoor waterparks being built.I wouldn't be surprised if Disney builds a 3rd one within 5 years and before they build a 5th major park.

def. blizzard beach, while the water coaster at the lagoon is fun, the beach has the best slides overall. now as far as convience, the lagoon is really flat and easy to walk around, while the beach..... well lets just say if you dont take the lift....... your legs will be HURTING later in the day. i counted the steps one time..... i forgot how many but it was alot. think like 2xx something. but its all worth it, and for the effort you put into walking up the stairs, you get to have the comfort of being able to eat some of their awesome donuts and the bucket o ice cream.

I agree,especially the runoff rapids slides towards the back of the mountain,they have stairs that go on forever.

For me its a close one ....But probablly gotta be BB.
I do love TL as i think the themeing is good and the wave pool and as said it has the amazing waterslide-Crush gusher.

But i think BB gets it overall with the rides and themeing again i think it is a more livley atmosphere as well x

I voted for Typhoon Lagoon as love the theaming and the Castaway Creek and Wave pool. BB is to hectic and the water too cold. I like the relax feeling you get at TL. I am not one for the slides that much. Also TL has shark reef which is amazing. But everyone has there own likes and dislikes. I was a big fan of River Country and am so heartbroken when it closed.

BB may have the slides but TL trumps it with its size. I love the huge wave pool.

I HATE the wave pool at TL. I love the ski lift and Teamboat Springs at BB. Also prefer the lazy river at BB.

I voted BB for the slides
But I do like TL for the wave pool and sandy beach area.

We try to do both each trip but if only could pick 1 it would be BB.

This is a great thread....my DH and I just decided that we are going to try out one of the water parks for our Sept. trip, just don't know which one yet. We have a 9 and 7 yr olds who like waterslides just not the really crazy ones. I think I am leaning more towards TL because I have heard that they have more of the family slides, but I love the theme of BB , oh well, at least I have 9 months before we really have to decide.

There are many things I like at BB but I voted TL because there is more that I like there and the wait times for the slides are a lot less!! I also love the tropical theming and the donuts!!

I voted TL because Dh and I LOVE Crush N Gusher, the Wave Pool and esp the Shark Reef!! We love snorkeling in the Shark Reef!!

This alone gives the nod to BB. Although I do like the feel of the palm trees and sand at TL.
