blizzard beach info

HELP...I am taking my six children (ages 3,5,7,10,10,13) to Magic Kingdon on March 2nd(2005)....any good suggestions for me. I am going this one alone. We have never been. Second, the kids want to go to Blizzard Beach (because they think it looks cool online)on the 3rd...how is Blizzard beach? will the little ones find it enjoyable? does it get crowded? any suggestions I appreciate. This is our first vacation ever!!

Wow - good for you! I bet your kids are just going crazy with excitment.

You'll love Blizzard beach. It has something for everyone as it has many amazing slides, lazy river and a great kids "splash" park for the little ones. If you can it would probably be best to split up your group with younger ones who would like to children's area and older who would enjoy the slides, etc.

As far as the other parks, again you have such a big difference in ages that the older ones might prefer the rides and the younger more tame things to do. Either way, again you have something for everyone in each park.

I would talk to your kids before you go to MK, look at a guide book or online to see what all the rides are and what they want to do. I would think about doing some chunks of time where you might let your 13 and 10 yr olds go off alone (with some two way radios). Or if you aren't comfortable with that much freedom, let the older ones do the more adventurous rides in each land while you take the younger ones on the more kiddie rides. That way all will get to do more in a day.

Also, I would make a PS for a meal somewhere either lunch or dinner. We always find it helpful to have a sit down meal to rest and recouperate. You could do Plaza Rest. or Crystal Palace.

As for BB, that place is great. Again, you may have to do some splitting up there considering the ages. I know it is a "water park" but we felt like we were in a water theme park, it was so neat. There are good areas for youngsters and plenty for more daring big kids. Be sure to all go on the family raft ride together!
