We will be heading to Blizzard Beach over Feb vacation. In all our Disney years we have never been there and would love to know some tips and tricks for the day.

Do you get a locker? table? chair?
Do you head to a certain area first?
Do they have towels?

Thank you so much for the advice.
P.S. The kids are 8 and 6.

Get there about 30 minutes before the official opening time.

We do not enter the park with cell phones or purses/wallets.

We bring in a picnic lunch and a small cooler.....therefore no need for cash.

With no valuables.....................no locker needed.

We bring our own towels.

So................when we are allowed in the park, we cross the little bridge and take a few steps down the path slightly to the left. (You can choose chairs in the shade or sun---your choice)

Then we take a few steps up the path and hop on the "ski lift" to the top so we can ride the family raft ride first before the line gets long.

We do get a locker. We don't bring too much, but use the locker for t-shirts, sunblock, cell phones, towels, etc. The locker keys have an elastic loop on them so if you have somebody with swimtrunks that have a loop in one of the pockets it's a good place to keep the locker key. Otherwise it just needs to go in a secure pocket (so it won't fall out on a ride).

They do have towels, so we do not bring our own.

We're on the move most of the day, so we don't make a big deal out of staking out a chair or group of chairs. We might put a few towels on one, along with sunblock. So far everything has been there when we come back, but of course I wouldn't leave anything more valuable than sunblock.

Generally, the lines peak in the late morning and early afternoon, so the best times to ride are early or late. We eat lunch in the park.

Try the mini-donuts from the stand, they are very good!

Arrive early dressed in bathing suits ready to go. We got a locker - get the large size.... If you rent the locker and go to another park later, you don't have to pay again to rent a locker at the other park. Plus when you return the key, you can get a couple dollars back or a souvenir mug (not a great mug, but I took it.)

Plan to spend a lot of time. I thought we would be done ther after 3 to 4 hours.... We stayed almost the whole day! I thought the food was all very good. But the donuts mentioned.... with dipping sauces... yummy.

Get the refillable mug. It's a big mug 32oz? for about $10-14 (can't remember). I filled it up many times and it makes a nice souvenir too!

Have a plan to meet if you get separated.... DW got ahead of me and DS6. I thought she saw me and DS6 were still together.... DW thought we were lost (actually DW was lost!) and really panicked and got upset. With our cell phones in the locker... we are back to old time communication methods.

DS6 loved floating in the wave pool and the lazy river. Although, we like the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon better. He could have done Teamboat Springs and the Toboggan Racers a 100 times. And enjoyed the ski patrol training camp.

Have fun! I can't wait to go back!

Keep your legs tightly crossed on Summit Plummet!

We went and did get a locker, just to have somewhere for our sunblock and towels. We didn't really hang out on the beach or by the wave pool so it worked out great for us. Also remember that just like at the other parks, ice water is free at any of the food places so drink lots of water!!!

This is fantastic advice.
I think we will get a locker as a home base; then I won't have to put our stuff on chairs that we'll never sit it.
I love the free ice water idea.
And I am still LOL about the leg crossing on the Summit Plummet!

Thanks everyone. We are looking forward to the trip.
