I believe DVC is even selling BCV at a higher price than the other 2042 resorts.

Yes. If you are patient, and persistent, you can purchase BCV directly through DVC.

It looks to me that the poster is illustrating the premium that the BCV commands over the other resorts. Like it or not it does

How about a split buy? Do half your points at BCV and half at SSR/AKV!

One thing to keep in mind is where you're going to want to stay as you grow older. My dad bought in at BCV as they were building it ('01 or '02, I think?). He's in his very early 50's. Anyway, he stayed there once and hated it. OKW is his favorite resort and will probably never stay at BCV. I just bought in for the 2nd time (I now own at SSR), but I had a hard time deciding between BCV and SSR. My dad's experience was the deciding factor. I know the day will come when I'll probably feel like him and not want to be at a busy resort. I'm getting ready to call my guide to add on a few BCV points just for the occassional trip. (I've been lucky with the 7 month window so far, but that 'occassional' trip may one day involve a F&W festival vacation, and I anticipate my luck may run out for that!)
