If the 'insiders' are predicting good sales because consumers are budgeting less for the holidays, maybe this is the year I try out the online shopping deals. Anyone heard anything good (besides free shipping) or have any experience with BF online shopping?

WOW if this is true I will so camp out..... $250 barbie jeep for $88, that is the only thing dd has been saying she wants from santa.

Plus I wanted to get her a cheap portable DVD player, I wanted some digital picture frames for grandparents and I wanted a couple of the flip cameras (normally $150 for $79- one for DH who leaves for Iraq soon and 1 for DBIL who is in Iraq already, they want to send video messages home and the flip looks great for that).

HI BF buddies -

I a relative newbie to the BF game - DH and I did Kohls, Gymboree and Disney store last year, but starting at around 5:30 - no waiting all night in the care for us. I would REALLY like to get one of the Kodak cameras at Target this year, priced at $89 for BF (down from like $150). My question to you vets is - Do I have to get there in the middle of the night to score this? Any guesses as to whether I can get it online at target.com? I just don't know if I'm up to getting there at 2 for this (I KNOW DH isn't), but I'd really like to get it.

Advice???? TIA

I'd buy it on Wednesday and bring it back on Friday at your convenience for a price adjustment. I did that last year at Target, no problems. Didn't have to worry about them running out of what I wanted. But Target is pretty good about having enough stock to last two days. If they don't have what you want on Friday, check back Saturday morning when they have restocked.

Also with my Target, they 'hid' some of the electronics for the BF sale so they weren't on display beforehand. No biggie, I bought everything I could early and went back Friday morning for a few specific things. Still made it much easier. Or you could ask an employee if they have it and see if they'll pull it out for you to buy...

Also, my Target last year ran out of almost everything by 10am, but they started substituting a similar, more expensive items at a deep discount to replace what was out of stock. I hung around for an extra 2 hours and kept watching them put new items on sale - I got some great items that way that weren't advertised in the papers (and subsequently took a lot of other guests longer to realize the deals because they came in the store looking for what was listed in the paper.)

Those are some good lookin' prices at Wal Mart. I've never done Wal Mart on BF - is it worth it? Can you get what you're looking for? I've seen the commercials on the news showing people going crazy running into Wal-Mart, I'm kinda scared to try it!

Maybe since they released their prices the other retailers will meet their low prices, too.

If you are going for the doorbusters then be ready for a little craziness at Walmart, but if you go in the afternoon it has been my experience that Wamart is pretty quiet. Seems everyone is at the mall trying to get those deals that you can even grocery shop with no trouble

In my experience they are very unorganized and chaotic. Last year my mother got trampled on the way in and broke her arm in the process. I have never seen a situation anything like that at Best Buy, Circuit City or Target. They truly do have a mad dash.

Has anyone seen any good BF deals on digital SLR cameras?

Thanks!

Notice no laptop early bird at Walmart. I wonder if that is because of the problems they had in the past.

I am afraid of Walmart on Black Friday. But I too find that later in the morning even it's empty and easy to get those "all weekend" deals.

I just bought a new Fuji S700 to replace the one stolen on my recent Disney trip. (Same camera.) I LOVE LOVE LOVE this camera. And Walmart has it for $149 bundle with a 2BG card and a case.

BELOW IS THE AD SCAN FOR WALMART!!!
I was searching online to see if I could bring up pictures to go along with some of the stuff listed. I found someone took photos of the ad and placed it in their photo bucket. The jeep is indeed on sale but it looks to be a one seater...not the 2 seater. Here is the link below to thier page. ( I want to stress...this is NOT my photo bucket account...lol)

Thanks :) I have a copy of the ad but it is 9.7 megs and I couln't send it through email to family so this rocks!!!!

I'm getting excited!!!!

Thanks guys - this gives me a couple of good options for getting the camera. Not that it REALLY matters :rolleyes1 , but, are they going to give me heck if I go in there on Friday to price adjust the camera I bought on Wednesday??

My experience with BF is "don't go" if you plan on casual shopping - wait until later in the day or at least 1 hour after store opening. The early morning crowds are there for the hot items and will run you down for the bargain. I have found most people are very kind and well mannered. But there is always the possibility of the hot head in the crowd. I go with the Get in-Get out mentality and then move to the next store, then I go back later in the day for the casual shopping.

Stores like Walmart and Target need to put all basket carts inside the store, on Thanksgiving before they open on Friday AM or at least locked down so no one can get one if they are left outside. The baskets cause more injuries with the large crowd as they are being used as a weapon to get through the door. I've seen more people injured this way, than being trampled.

I tend to avoid Walmart and Target until after they have opened and the crowd is already inside the store. Target usually has very limited supplies of the sale items, especially electronics, so I tend not to even go there. Walmart tends to still have most items 1 hour after opening with few exceptions on the extremely Hot Toy items.

Does anybody know the model number of the Samsung camera for $69 at Wal-Mart? Our daughter wants a digital camera for Christmas and we want to get the most for our money. We are not crazy about Kodak's software and would want to look up some reviews on the Samsung since that seems like a good price for the Megapixels. Thanks!

It says BL103 on the pic of the camera. 10.2MP, 3x optical zoom, 2.7" display. $69.
