I'm in! Looking for rock bottom on a new Wii and Wii fit. I know Target had a good deal this week, but I'm hoping for better if I hold out.

Last year the best deal I found on black Friday was the same one that Target had this past week for $69.00.

You're right I didn't even notice that. They also only have this years Habor Freight up.

Harbour Freight is always the first one to come out with the others following a few weeks behind. Usually the bigger name or more sought after ads like Target, Walmart, Kohls, etc will not leak until at least the first week of Nov. However you can look at last year's ads to get a feel for what to expect, for instance Kohl's will most likely have all of their toys on sale for 50% off with a possible doorbuster of an extra 10% off. They also take their coupons on BF. So that means the toy area is FLOODED with people.

I do have a question for you. If I don't buy the extra lens right away, will the camera still be as amazing as it is with the extra lens? I would love to buy the camera for Christmas and maybe the lens for her graduation.

Yes....the extra lens will just give you a bigger zoom is all. I added it a couple months after I bought the camera.

I got a netbook for myself a couple of years ago - at BestBuy for about 329.00 - EEC Acer - very happy with it but want something cheaper for my son!

wal-mart has a laptop in their sales circular today for $248.00. it's not the most powerful, but it would do for basic student work and web surfing.

My gift cards are ready to be used! I have $35 for Target, and $75 for Amazon.... how much can I make these babies streeeeeeetch??????? Hopefully really really really far!!

I have posted on here for the past few years that I pay for my Christmas gifts with gift cards from my credit card rewards. It works out very well!! And BF sales sure do help!!!!! Here's hoping for some MASSIVE Target and Amazon deals!!

Coats at Gymboree (they have had great coat deals the last 2-3 years!)

Hoping Disney Store will have a great sale on their new toddler Princess dolls

Hoping Barnes and Noble will have some good deals too

I would love it if I could hit all those stores within the same time. It's hard that the DS is open at midnight, but I don't think Target opens til 4 or 5.

My black Friday shopping is a tradition that goes way back. It used to be easier I think. Not as many people willing to brave the crowds and the chaos. But the economy being what it has been for the last few years, the crowds have just gotten massive! I did my BF shopping online last year. I missed the actual going out, but I had a house full of company and nothing I desperately needed that I couldn't get online. Hopefully this year I'll be back out there. As a pp said, it's about the fun of being out there. People are usually in a festive mood and friendly. Usually.

I don't have many good things to say about Acer netbooks. Our didn't take a charge, wouldn't work with the cord, so we had to mail it in for repairs. We were within a week of the 1 year warranty, so we lucked out. This was last September. Around June, it started not taking a charge, and not allowing to work with a cord only. I have since replaced that netbook with a wonderful PC. We have a Toshiba Satellite, and I love it!! We got one for our son also. See if you can find a site with good deals. Think of Best Buy the day after Thanksgiving. Usually you can find good deals, but be prepared to camp out.

Get to your store early, TVs go fast. Got one last year, and pretty much everyone in line I talked to said they were there for a TV. We were in line early so we got the TV, but not everyone who lined up for that got it.

My wife just sprang another one on me...she now wants a new laptop/netbook as well!

I think I'll be heading out right after T-Giving dinner!

Another week closer to the best "holiday" ever. It is almost November and then the good ads should start popping up. I love that I can shop at Old Navy, K-mart, Meijer, and Gander Mtn on Thanksgiving. Then I can focus on the Big ones on Black Friday. Of course I am usually the only female in Gander Mtn.

My boys specifically asked for clothes from Old Navy and my daughter wants a particular hoodie which our store doesn't have. I hope they have an on-line sale so I can get her hoodie. My husband always finds something from Gander Mtn that he needs so while he is napping before the Thanksgiving Feast I hit up Gander Mtn.

October has flown by and I bet Nov. will too.
