Black Friday 2013 Thread?

Gamestop has their ad posted (should say it was leaked) and their are some good game prices. Anyone every go there on BF, is it super crazy?

ours is usually pretty organized but VERY VERY CRAMPED...ours has to limit the number of people coming into the store at a time cause there isn't enough room and most of their stores are pretty tiny. I imagine it will be pretty bad with the release of the Xbox One and the Playstation 4.

We have 2 stores, one in the mall that I won't even attempt to go into, its so small I can't imagine how bad it will be on BF.
The other one is much bigger but I have never been there even when it was a little busy so I have no idea what to expect on BF.
Truth is I'm hoping to get everything online because I normally avoid going out on BF but some prices on stuff I want are good enough to get me out there this year!

I need/want/have to have 3 things that are on sale on BF in GameStop. Im hoping they do the same prices online because I dont want to mess with the itty bitty one near me.

That's how ours is too. I've only gone once on BF and don't plan to again, not because it is so crazy but because it is a tiny store they only let a certain number of people in at a time, and they don't do numbers or anything - you just have to wait outside in the elements on an uncovered walkway for your turn. Whatever I wanted there, I didn't want it badly enough to stand in line for who knows how long in the 35° rain/sleet mix we had that morning.

For me, Black Friday isn't really about the sales. I'm not one of those on line outside in the cold hoping for a bargain on a TV. It's all about the fun for me. I'm out at 4 am, doing my Christmas shopping. The prices tend to be good, the crazy crowds tend to be gone (or not there yet) when I hit the stores... the shelves are normally being restocked as I shop after the midnight madness. I have no timeline; my husband and kids know not to expect me until I get home. STill, the excitement in the air is palpable. I really get a kick out of it!!

Exactly!! My sister do Black Friday every year and we don't even have children to shop for! We are hoping to score a new tv and maybe some other household goods but mainly we just want to be in the middle of the action and have fun!!

We spend ALL day shopping starting about 3-4am usually break somewhere around 7-8am for breakfast at IHOP then back out for the later sales and to see what's left!! We usually don't get home till 5-6pm! It's such a thrill!

Oh and I too am stoked about the petsmart sale! We always score great buys there!

I wish so much that I had someone to go shopping with on Black Friday. My sis is a grinch and won't go and I haven't made any friends here in NC yet. It won't be as fun all alone!

Its just a sneak peek they released on facebook this afternoon. The whole ad is coming out later, I wish sooner.

I know that isn't there whole ad, I meant that I hope there are more doorbusters than what is shown there.

My sister is a Grinch, too! My mom and I did BF for YEARS, since my niece was a baby and now she's in her 40s!

When my Mom died I thought I'd have to do it alone but little did I know that I gave birth to my own BF buddy!

My 20yo son! :yay: We made a tradition of hitting Walmart online first, then out to Big Lots, Radio Shack, Target, Sams then wind it up at Waffle House.

On Thanksgiving Day we usually hit Walgreens because they always have great deals on little gifts, especially those "As Seen on TV" things! It's a family tradition to give away a ASOTV item each year, someone is getting pajama jeans this year because they're bogo at Walgreens this year!! :lmao:

I love the deals but Black Friday is a tradition for my little brother and I for the past few years, it's really the only thing we actually do together just us we go to all the stores then Denny's. I really do not even need to go this year ( we will be at disney/universal until Christmas Day) but I am still going for our brother sister tradition

Does anyone know if Walmart will price match the TRU skylander and infinity prices on Black Friday, or will they only do between the hours TRU is doing it?

In the past they only do it during the hours posted. This year they are price matching. The difference goes on a WM gift card what I haven't found out yet is if there is a time limit. If not I might get the infinity now and get the price difference on Thanksgiving.

They usually won't price match on percentage off or buy one get one off. They have to say the exact price on the ad and if it is an electronic it has to have the same sku.

Toys R Us opening at 5pm on Thanksgiving really disappoints me.

I want that Kindle deal, but I'm not willing to skip dinner with the family to save a few bucks :sad2: I'm sure they'll all be gone later in the night or on Friday right??

Anyone see any other Kindle deals out there?

I am really hoping GameStop has their deals online as well as in store. I really do not want to attempt the store on Black Friday. I would rather just buy the few things I need from them online.

there are a few items I want to pick up from game stop, would love to get online. Do you know if they offered online last year for their sales?

Does anyone know if Best Buy runs the same door busters online as in the store? It's 2 hours away from our Thanksgiving Festivities.

Will be online shopping from Canada. :thumbsup2

Went once for BF Shopping in US :scared1: lol

Hoping to find a good deal on a scooter (thinking Razor Ultra Pro ...) and remote controlled Monster Truck, Pittsburg Penguins gear for DS and clothes for DD.

The things we wanted at Best Buy were available on-line last year, right away in the AM on Thanksgiving Day. It was great, we didn't have to go out. Not sure if they were doorbusters though......

I agree with Gamestop! I wonder if other big box stores will match their prices, especially on video games.
