Black Friday 2013 Thread?

Be careful about buying from Walmart online. The past 4 times I have ordered from them they have either sent me the wrong item or the right item but in the wrong size. When I have gone to return I always have the biggest hassle because the UPC numbers do not match what is in my packing slip. Walmart.com has the worst customer service EVER. I just no longer buy online from them. The VERY few things that I buy from Walmart I just pick up in a store.

With me its they let me buy the item online..charge me right away then within 2 days cancel the order and then it takes me a week to get the money back they really are the worst

And Walmart For the WIN! They came through with deals on almost everything on my list. So far here's what I'm hoping to get:
1. Skylanders Swap Force starter pack
2. IPhone 5c with bonus gift card (better than free!)
3. A few of the $10 Wii and 3ds games
4. New tires for my car (not fun, but very much needed)

Still to get from Target:
1. 2 Nooks
2. Monster High Toys
3. Monsters U movie

Ok... off to finish my list! Hope I can score some of this online. I'll be at my inlaws in a crummy part of town and wouldn't even consider going to their Walmart. It does give me a good reason to head home early. I guess the hubby'll have to take his nap at home instead of his dad's recliner, LOL!

I hope Target has some of the DVDs that Walmart is showing (I know they usually have a lot of unadvertised ones), because I am going to be waiting for the 50 inch tv and wont be able to make it to Walmart in time. Once I check out of Target I will head over there but I am pretty sure there wont be any as those fly off the shelf in seconds around here.

So I am so going to walmart for dvds. I was 123 in line last year and got everything on my list (perks of a small town).

Can someone help me with a dumb question:
Jc pennys is doing snowglobes at 4 am. IS there anything else going on sale at that time?

Im actully sad this year. Walmart (event 1), kmart (7pm), pennys (8pm) shopko (8pm) and home by 9!! This stinks!!

Here in Phoenix the store is open all day and you wait inside the store for the deals. the DVDs are on pallets covered with cardboard, people will gather around and when its time they announce over head and lift it and just grab it is insane! Within minutes there is nothing left but torn up cardboard.

I have recently checked that Disney's magical Friday shopping is going to start on Nov 22, 2013. But still they are offering Up to 45% off on New Markdowns which is looking quiet popular and attractive for people like me. I already have found this Disney Store Promo Code and probably will make better use of it. For Black Friday i still have to wait for 9 more days.

our stores gone to a line, they rope off the area and have security gaurds standing by. You get in line and wait your turn lol. I was like way down in the line last year (took about 10 mins to get to the front) and they had all my movies on my list

If you buy an iPad and get the $100 gift card, can you turn around and apply that gc to the ipad mini? Or is there a delay in when the card is able to be used?

At Target you can use the gift cards they give the very next transaction. Not sure about Walmart but I think you have to wait until the next day to use it.

That's exactly how mine is. Ppl just grab whatever they can. It's kinda crazy .

Ok, now I have a couple more questions! So Thursday I can go to Target and get the iPad which gives me the $100 gc, turn around and buy the iPad mini and use the $100 gc, and get a $75 gc for purchasing the mini. The next day I go to Target and buy a $75 item, use the $75 gc and get a 20% sitewide discount coupon?

Alternately, if I use my red card for that $75+ purchase, do I have to get something that comes to $75+ after the discount is applied or before?

Thank you! This is my first experience with BF and I'm a little :crazy2::confused3:scratchin

No, the Red Card comes off last so it is just your total before taxes.

So now that almost all of the Black Friday/Thursday ads are out, where is everyone going? What is on your must buy list? Are you going to wait for any door busters? What time do you plan on going?

I am going to Target. I really want that 50 inch TV. I was thinking of going around 2pm but I am not sure if that is early enough, on other sites I hear of people starting to line up at 12pm :confused3 After Target I will head to Walmart and see if there are any DVDs left, then to Kohls to pick up some of those big throws they sell and some other stuff...

I'm doing basically what I do EVERY BF!

Walmart online only.

Target at the store one hour before opening. Not sure if I even NEED the 50" TV but it is TEMPTING!;);) Every TV in my house was bought on BF!

My son wants to go to Staples and Radio Shack.

Sams Club next then to Big Lots.

Wind it all up over an omelet at Waffle House! :cool1:

Thanksgiving day I only go to Walgreens. They always have the greatest deals on the food and smaller gifts and no one is there but us. I love their Foster Grant reading glasses and they're always Buy One get TWO free! :thumbsup2 My sisters love chocolates for gifts so I get them from there also.

I'm sooo torn on what to do!!
I want the Surface. My options are Best Buy or Staples. I feel like I'd have more luck at Staples.

I believe Staples also opens later than BB which leaves me a little extra family time. How early do you guys think people will be lining up?

Around here people will probably be lining up at best buy the night before....
