I have a friend that needs a name for a female black cat. She wants a strange name. A play on words is even better. Any ideas.

We have a black cat, her name is "BOO!" My last black cat was named Banshee. This had to do with her voice.

A co-worker of mine had a black kitten that her kids named 'Halloween'. Of course, we re-named her 'Weenie'.
If you are looking for a Disney name, I would probably go with something like Leota (Haunted Mansion).

Our old fighting tom cat was named Hocus Pocus (Hocus for short). Weird how so many of these names have to do with something scary. Guess black cats are still supposed to be scary or bad luck.

Mine's named 'Houdini.' You'd be cursing yourself to having an intelligent cat who figures things out.

Ours is named Squeak - but as someone else mentioned, that had to do with what she sounded like when she was little. We found her as a 2 week old kitten.
