Good morning team. All that I lost last week has found me again. This is usually how I lose weight so it doesn't surprise me. I gained 3 pounds this week that I hope to take off and more by next week. My dh has lost 10 in the last month and has not been doing as much as I have:furious: :furious: :furious: Oh well this is a new week and things will be better.

Hope everyone else has a great week.
Be back later.

I unhappily report zero loss this week. I guess it's better than a gain, but I was more diligent this week than the last two. Go figure. Hoping for a big loss next week.

I had ham last night, so in my mind, I'm justifying this with water retention. HA!

Good Weigh-in Morning Teammates.

I stayed the same this week. I got off and on the scale 3 times, hoping for at least a little loss, but no. I'm happy I didn't gain. I know if I hadn't been exercising I would have seen a gain for sure.

Dona- Sorry you had a gain this week. It is a rollercoaster this weight loss game, but as long as we stay on we will get there. How annoying is it that men can lose so much faster than women? That's great for you husband. Good luck this week.

Trampslady- At least no loss is no gain. I'm sure the ham helped. They say asparagus is a diuretic and you should eat it the night before weighin. :) Maybe I"ll try that next week.

Good luck Black Team!!!!:woohoo: :cheer2: :cool1:

Good morning, Black Team!

I actually gained one pound this week, bleh. Couldn't exercise, though, had a problem with my foot. Guess I figured that meant I could eat  ! Oh, well, another week, right?

Have a good week, everyone!

Heather

Good morning team mates!

Today is a happy day because our fellow losers: BigMama and Clark-Kent are celebrating their anniversary. Happy Anniversary guys!

I am done a bit...I think .4 so it brings me back to the weight I was at prior to the TOM...I am shooting to lose at least another 6#s before we go to Disney.

Hope everyone is doing well! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Well I'm down 2 pounds this week (of the 3 I gained in Disney). So I'm content with that. This journey is definitely a roller coaster and the worse thing we can do is get off the ride. Keep up the hard work everyone. I think the first step is just being more aware of what we are eating and trying to move more. I have not by any means been putting 100% into my weight loss right now - there are other things that take priority. BUT - I am paying attention to what I'm eating and trying to move more even if it isn't an official "workout". Now let's forget this week's results and start looking and working for next weeks :)

Hey guys!!! I'm down this week aroudn 2lbs I think... Chin up you guys!!! We all have bad weeks... It's such a roller coaster! and those men...not fair!!! They always lose faster!!! For those of you that loss! Good job!

Happy Anniversary BigMama and Clark Kent!!!

larry's girl--Susan...my sister... Just wanted to let you know that I don't know if she'll be reporting this week. She is in intense pain! Apparently she had a fall a few weeks back and to make a long story short...found out yesterday she has a pinched never in her back... ugh!!! She can barely breath she hurts to much...

Just wanted to let you guys know... I know some of you post to her journal!

Hope everyone has a good day!!!
Stacie

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: Just pm me with your starting weight and hop in. We will be starting another challenge tomorrow so look for that on the WISH board. I will also post it here.

Well, I'm only down .5#. I'll take it though since it's TOM and I really expected a slight gain of water weight.

Hi Goodferry! Welcome to the team! I grew up near you. I was born in New Kensington but grew up in Johnstown. I love Ligonier, especially Idlewild! Haven't been there since my kids were little but now that a cousin has moved from here to Derry, I will go when I visit him next summer. popcorn:: I was bummed I missed the Highland Games; I really wanted to go!

Time to eat lunch and then off for my science test. Hope people have better losses than me.

Happy Anniversary Big Mama and Clark-Kent!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi Jennifer! I am not originally from Western PA, but love it here, especially this time of year, it's a beautiful time to be in Ligonier. Fort Days is a week and a half away, hopefully the weather holds out! We enjoy Idlewild also, not as much as I would like, though, my kids are getting to the Hershey Park/Kennywood age, only the baby begs to go to Idlewild anymore. Our 16 year old especially is just too cool to be seen there anymore :cool2:
Thanks for the welcome everyone!

I was out of town til 2am and forgot to weigh myself this am. I know I did not have a loss, but I will post my weight tomorrow am if that's ok. I always weigh several pounds more at night than in hte morning. . .

Susan, hope you are feeling better.

Hi! I am new to the team and not sure where to start!

Welcome!

Here is the latest challenge. This is very doable for everyone.

BL3 Weekly Team Challenge #3

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I realize our week two challenge is only ending tonight...however I have to work very very early tomorrow morning so I wanted to post Week 3 challenge tonight:

We have challenged ourselves in how we fuel our bodies and how we burn stored energy......now it is the week to challenge our conscious efforts made to form healthy lifestyle habits......these tasks may help you to slow down in your sense of rushing about, or maybe just do something nice for yourself

Here is how it works; below you see a list of ‘tasks’. For the next 7 days you are challenged to complete as many ‘tasks’ as you can. Each completed task is valued at 5 pts. During the 7 days of the challenge, keep record of a completed task and at the end of the week turn in your final total score to your team captain, or designated teammate. For example, task #1 -- Spend 10 minutes everyday being active around your house while doing chores --- this is a one time task and you must complete it entirely to award yourself 5 pts. However, task #2 – Take a relaxing bubble bath/hot tub.....– is possible to complete this task more than once. Tasks that can be completed multiple times are marked with an *** Maximum points per task are noted

This challenge is on your honor system, be accurate and honest with the points you award yourself. After all, if you cheat you are only cheating yourself from forming healthy exercising habits

TASKS:

Spend 10 minutes everyday being active around your house while doing chores -- MAX 5 pts

Park in the far area of parking lot this week, at least 4 times *** (4 parkings = 5 pts; 8 parkings = 10 pts; 12 parkings = 15 pts) --- MAX 15 pts

Take a relaxing bubble bath/relax in a hot tub *** -- MAX 10 pts

Visit the library and checkout 3 books for leisure reading *** (1 trip checking out 3 books = 5 pts; 2 trips checking out another 3 books = 10 pts) --- MAX 10 pts

Call or visit an old friend you haven't seen in a while *** (one call is a conversation not a voicemail or message one successful call or visit = 5 pts; 2 combo of phone call/visits = 10 pts; 3 combo of phone call/visits = 15 pts) --- MAX 15 pts

Spend 30 minutes of quality one on one time with a child *** (30 cumulative minutes = 5 pts; 60 cumulative minutes = 10 pts; 90 cumulative minutes = 15 pts; 120 cumulative minutes = 20 pts) --- MAX 20 pts

This challenge is meant to motivate you...not to stress you! You may choose to complete one or two of the tasks, or all of them. Let this challenge be want you need it to be.....to CHALLENGE YOU!

The challenge begins on Wednesday Oct 3 at 12:01 a.m. and ends on Tuesday October 9th at midnight. Your final score must be reported in by Wednesday October 9th at 3 p.m. EST in order to be included in the team score. Team captains will report in to each team and report the final results in their weekly team thread on Wednesday (Oct 9) evening.

Wanna know what you’re playing for?? The winning team earns bragging rights and the right to include a clippie of such in their signature until the completion of the next team challenge.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post my weight loss yesterday. Not that there was anything to post...I maintained.

I earned 10 points in the challenge this past week. Looking forward to doing better this time around.

Have a good day everyone!

Hi Everyone :wave2: I'm liking the new challenge for the week however I have no children just lots of pets... and they always like one on one time so I'm counting them for my "children" :) I am down 2.2 this week but didn't do as well on the challenge. I currently work out an hour a day 6 days a week so adding 20 minutes with my schedule and life is just not possible and I kept forgetting to stretch after

Write down an exercise plan for the week -- put the times on your calendar, treat it like a scheduled appointment. Share your plan with your team in your weekly thread -- MAX 5 pts 5 points

Spend 10 minutes stretching after 2 workouts this week ***
worth 5 pts after your 2nd session of 10 minutes of stretching; multiples most be completed in sets of 2 (4 times = 10 pts; 6 times = 15 pts, 8 times = 20 pts)O points

Add 10 minutes to your cardio workouts 2 times this week ***
worth 5 pts after your 2nd session of an additional 10 minutes on your routine cardio sessions; multiples most be completed in sets of 2 (4 times = 10 pts; 6 times = 15 pts, 8 times = 20 pts) 0 Minutes

Complete 2 vigorous workouts that are at least 20 minutes each ***
worth 5 pts after your 2nd vigorous workout; multiples most be completed in sets of 2 (4 times = 10 pts; 6 times = 15 pts, 8 times = 20 pts) 10 points - I had to miss a day this week so I was one shy of the 6 times! :(

Total 15
Have a great week everyone!!

Weight unchanged from last week - still 226.

Points from last challenge - 10

Looking forward to this week's challenge
