I am down 1 pound but was hoping for 2. I need to step it up this week to meet my goal before our Disneyland Trip!

Question of the day - Friday:
What can you do to make it (losing weight) easier?
(Based on Thursday's question - What is the hardest part about losing weight?)
Work has slowed down so I am not getting exercise that way, but I did do a good 75 minutes on the Wii yesterday.

I'm down 3.6 pounds this week. Yipee!!!I'm hoping next week I'll be able to get my 50 pound clippie but it may be a stretch to lose another 3 pounds. No matter, I know I'll get it sooner or later.

My goal for this week is to do some kind of activity at least 30 min a day, and to drink all my water! These seem to be the things I have trouble with. I am eating better and making better choices, but haven't gotten control of the being lazy.

I will be participating in the BL Cow, but I can't seem to wear a pedometer, they keep falling off, so I will not do that one. Good luck this week Red team.

Morning everyone!
I took my older to boys to their first swim lesson this morning. Lessons are at the indoor pool at the rec center down the road from us. We have lived here for 10 years and this is only the second time I have been inside.![]()
Well, while they were doing lessons, I decided to look around then took a tour and everything to see what they have to offer. It looks promising. I'm thinking of joining. DH gets a discount since he is a county employee, but it is incredibly reasonably priced anyway. There are early morning and later evening water aerobics classes I could do, weight room, racket ball courts, etc. And the personal trainer sessions are only $30 per hour. I would definetly sign up for a few of those to get myself started.
Much to think about. My Curves membership expires in November, so DH and I will talk about a family membership to the rec center then.
Just thought I'd share. Checking in and posting will hopefully keep me in check today.![]()
Throw that in with PMS and not a great week so far.

We can do it!!!
I had promised to weigh in early, before we left on vacation, but then DS11 woke up with an absessed tooth hours before our flight and I didn't weigh in! He distracted me
Luckily we found a dentist who would see him, it was a holiday here, an it was a baby tooth that was already loose, so they pulled it and he was ready to fly to Jordan with us a few hours later!
That was the day that we walked from 9a.m- 6p.m at Petra. He had 27,000+ steps on that thing. No Kidding. My feet are still hurting, that was Friday. I'm sure he walked more than me and he definitely climbed more than me, but I kept up very well this trip. The only walking/climbing I didn't do was to climb up these huge rock formations with the boys. I had on bad shoes that day and I'm afraid of heights. I did climb a sand dune to be able to find them on the rocks. Out of the 4 days, two I got a lot of excercise. It will be interesting to see what the scale shows!
Question of the Day Monday
How do you handle all the temptations that occur during the weekend?
I'm the same way with the chocolate, and keeping the hands busy definitely can deter the late night eating. I'm thinking back to when I used to knit and cross stitch, and I was pretty thin then. I should pick up a project to start. What can I do to make losing weight easier? Keep my hands busy. My worst time is in the evenings in front of the TV. If I pick up some needlework, I can't both eat and stitch.
My biggest challenge--my head wants chocolate. Note--I said my head. My tummy doesn't necessarily want it, and I'm not hungry. However, chocolate speaks to something inside me. Gotta silence that voice!
I'm sick. I do awful when I'm sick. When I can't work out - well I eat more because I'm pissed off. Not exactly productive.Throw that in with PMS and not a great week so far.

Hope everyone is doing well.
Sorry you're not feeling well. Hang in there, and you'll get back on. We all have our ups and downs, and you'll be back up soon. that is a great quote. My heart definitely doesn't draw me towards overeating, but some crazy part of my dysfunctional head does. We do need strength to reach our goals, and we all have it within us.Okay, so I'm checking my e-mail this morning and about to delete the Hobby Lobby ad when at the bottom this quote catches my eye...
"Everyone should carefully observe which way his heart draws him, and then choose that way with all his strength."
-Hasidic Saying
I though it was a great quote...very thought provoking...so I wanted to share it.
Sorry I have not been around friends, but I had a small pity party/tantrum last week and kinda got into a funk. I haven't been feeling well, though I did see the specialist on friday and got a diagnosis. Nothing dramatic or exciting, a tight muscle on my jaw that is causing the ear pain. Dr. gave me NSAIDS and exercises to do. It is helping somewhat, but I am tired and when my ear hurts, I don't feel like doing anything. Except eat, of course.
But now I am remotivated, rededicated as I have a new goal. Not only am I committed to running the 2010 WDW Half marathon, but now we are going on a cruise afterward!!! I know I can do the half, the time is not a problem, but we would be going on the cruise with other friends and I really would like to be at goal weight by then. So now I gotta put my money where my mouth is as they say and get my booty in gear.
I had a good run this morning, going to run each morning this week, hoping to get a long run in on the weekend as well. Doing better with the food, made better choices today.
Glad you are feeling better and back on track. Good work. If I plan ahead, I can do well, but when some stress comes my way, that's when I lose it and start eating and drinking. I need to journal my food as I'm going to eat it also, and not when I get home to keep me on track. We are going to the Topsfield Fair this weekend, so I'm going to plan what I will eat, and stick to my plan. My favorite thing is the apple crisp with ice cream, so I'll plan for that as a splurge, and that will be it for me.Question of the Day Monday
