Well, I just weighed in, and I'm saddened to admit that I am up one pound this week. I'm very sorry red team. I promise to do better this next week. I've already started again today...I have officially started a food journal. And, it has already helped me this morning. :thumbsup2 I was offered a very good looking and gooy muffin this morning, but I turned it down because I didn't want to write it in my journal. So, that's progress I'm sure! Congrats to everyone on here.

My favorite Disney moment was on our first Disney Cruise and the cast members welcomed, on microphone, my family aboard the disney cruise as other cast members clapped. That was a very tearful moment for me. Great memories. Have a great week RED team!

I lost 1.5 pounds this week, which is great because I was very bad last Sunday.
Congrats to everyone and we are off to a new week!!!!!!!:)

Hi fellow Red Team members! :wave2:

I lost 1 pound this past week! :cool1: That's a total of 1.4 pounds since the challenge started but about 7 pounds since I started trying to lose the weight a few weeks ago. I've been drinking my water every day and I've done the 1 mile Walk Away the Pounds DVD 4 times this week (including today). I'm basically trying to eat healthy but not deprive myself of anything. If I have something not very good for me I'm going to just have a small portion. I do well during the week but the weekends tend to be harder.

Congratulations to everyone this week! I know we can succeed with each others help. We'll be cheerleaders :cheer2: for each other. Have a great week.

My favorite Disney moment: I really like watching my daughters face when we're at Disneyland or Disney World. Kellie has Down Syndrome and is 22 now but she's always loved going.

I have lost 2 pounds this weeks which I am happy about since I ate horrible when we were out of town last week. Makes me feel better after maintaining last week too.

My favorite Disney momenthappened on our last trip when we got to see family we hadn't seen in several years. One of who spent the last 6 years dealing with cancer and has won her battle. It was wonderful to see them and for my girls to meet her children and have a blast with each other. We are planning another trip to meet up with them in 2 years.

On too the weekend. Another gymnastics competition but at least this one is close enough to drive to the day of. No hotel and no eating out all weekend.

:sad2: :sad2: I am up 2 lbs this week. It was not a good week for food or exercise since this stupid cold is still hanging on:sick: . I am supposed to run a 5k tonight, but it is raining here and FIL and I won't run if it is raining to hard. We'll see what happens.

I am trying to do better, had a good day so far with food and will get my exercise in soon.

Congrats to the losers and maintainers.

My favorite Disney moment-probably our first trip with DD when she was 4. The look on her face as we approached MK in the front of the monorail. Just priceless.

Question of the Day - Friday:

Name a favorite Disney “moment” of yours (something that happened at a park, on DCL, watching a movie, etc)

OK we'll get my wieght out first..up .2lbs. I'm ok with that it was a rough week had one problem after another and didn't accomplish much Mon-Wed. My son had swimmer's ear which was 2 trips to the doctors and we had a flat tire on the highway with no spare...yeah not a good week. But I only went up .2 which is actually way better than I expected. I expected full lbs up. So I'm happy.

Onb Biggest Loser the show they always say week 2 is the hardest so I'm just going with that for me this week. lol

My favorite Disney Moment would have to be from our last trip (Oct. 2007) My husband and I got married in October of 2004, we didn't do the whole normal he proses she says yes thing. I had a piece of paper and was like pick a date (I hade 3 to choose from in Sept. He was like how about October  then he asked what it was for and I said our wedding. We decided on Oct. 2nd and we put everything towards paying for our wedding. We also had to small children at the time so an engagement ring wasn't really on the list anywhere.

Fastforward 3 years- its our 2nd trip with the kids (4th for us, our first was our honeymoon) we were staying at BeachClub Villas. We had just walked up from a park (Epcot I think), we were all tired but decided to get something from Beaches and Cream and sit out on the beach. Illuminations started and we watched what we could from the beach. He asked me to get up and walk with him to get a better view. The kids were playing in the sand.

Long story short, he got down on one knee and proposed witha ring and everything  he said all sorts of nice things I didn't reallt hear. I mean the man is on one knee in the sand with people walking around.

So I finally got my actual proposal 3 years after we were married. I had no clue it was going to happen and it happened on a beach at Disney with fireworks going off, can't top that. I'm one lucky gal.:cloud9:

HI Red Te am members,

Well I am a maintainer this week. That is okay not much exercise for me as I am "the boss" at work and it has been a little stressful as well as DH was home 2 days sick as well. My boss is at WDW for her 25th wedding anniversary. Hope that she is having an absolute blast. I did the 25h anniversary last year, in Sept. What great times............so in the answer to the Question of the Day:

My most magical disney moment would be the first time I saw the castle, after having grown up and only seeing it on TV in my younger years.

Every day I felt was magical at WDW when I was there last year.

Have a great weekend!.

My favorite moment is from last year, my son's first time there. Our first night there was MVMCP and as we walked down Main Street, it was snowing. My son was in awe of the snow coming down and the whole experience walking down Main Street. Seeing the castle lit up in the blue icicles was amazing. It was something I will never forget. It was everything I had hoped it to be and more for my son. I don't think he'll ever forget it.

UGh, the saga that is my son's ear just got even weirder.

The top ear is his Swimmer's ear the bottom his normal ear. I know swelling goes along with Swimmer's ear, I find it strange that its swelling now 3 days into his antibiotic drops.

Anyone have any advice on what to do to bring the swelling down?

Hello RED TEAM! Great job over the last week. I've had a busy week and didn't have much time to be online. I am down 1.4 pounds this week. Good exercise week, so-so on the food.

You'll never guess what I did yesterday! I start a belly dancing class! It was fun! We did stretching and warm-ups and then learned a few things. Tried to put them together into a brief dance before doing cool down. I thought I was going to be really sore today, but not really too much. It always helps me to cool down; then I don't seem to get as sore.

My DD and I are going to WDW in a couple weeks. Now I really want to go to dinner in Morocco to see the belly dancer! We've never eaten there so it should be a new, fun experience!!!

Missed these questions

Disney Moment - A couple years ago, my DD (then 14) and I went to MNSSHP. We were dressed as pumpkins and were asked if we wanted to participate in the Boo to You Parade. That sounded great and it sure was! We got to see the Headless Horseman before he took off. The best part was the two of us rode in Walt's car! We loved waving to everyone as we went down the parade route. Then we got a special place for viewing the rest of the parade.

Screen name - MickeyMagic - When I was choosing, I had just got back from a WDW land and sea trip. So I took a piece of each.

Support - My DD16 and the Red Team!!!

Here's hoping everyone has a great week coming up!:cheer2:

My advice would be to have a recheck. That looks like more than a swimmers ear. 3 days into antibiotic drops says it may not be working for what he has. I am just getting over a swimmer's ear also and I did not have any swelling or discomfort at the top of my ear. All my swelling is around the lobe of the ear, in front of and directly behind the lobe.

Did he get stung by something in addition to the swimmer's ear? I'd get that second opinion.

Best of luck to you and your son.

Linda

Hi Red team. I haven't really been around. Self medicating with food. Sorry. Up 2 lbs. In control now and ready to kick a**!!:lmao:

Favorite Disney moment....there are so many!

My recent favorite was on July 4. We took our Swiss exchange student for a whirlwind trip to WDW. Seeing it all through her eyes as a "first timer" was truly amazing. The fireworks (MK July 3, Epcot July 4) were totally beyond anything you could imagine. And I come from a city that boast the "World's Largest Annual Fireworks Show." (don't know if that's accurate, but the use it as a brag/advertising line.

Well I took my son back to the doctors this morning he now has a secondary infection in his outer ear and is taking oral antibiotics along with his anitbiotic ear drops. It has been a rough week. Can't wait until its over.

Happy weekend everyone! I'm down 2 more pounds this week, which I'm really excited about because I had a couple of pretty bad food days. It might catch up with me next week, but I'm going to try to hold it at bay by being better about drinking my water...my big challenge!

Charity,
I hope your son is feeling better soon and thank you for sharing your proposal story! That was so sweet!

My favorite Disney moment would have to be on the DCL with my DD who was then 4 years old. One morning all the princesses were in the atrium at the same time and you could get in line and go from one to the next for pics and to meet them and all. The look on her face the whole time was priceless. Oh, to be able to read her thoughts through that 15 minutes of her life!

OK, I'm down 3 from the start. Didn't get to weigh last week, so not sure when it occurred.

Hi Red teammies!!!

Well last night was my 5k run with FIL (his b-day run). To say that is was not my best outing would be an understatement. The start wasn't announced-no horn, whistle, someone shouting GO! And I was trying to keep up with FIL. I lasted the first 1/2 mile with him, then couldn't keep up. I ended up finishing in 34:30, which is okay. I ran this course last year in 37:17, so it is an improvement. When I weighed this morning, I was back down 1 of the 2 i posted a gain for last week. So I am headed back in the right direction.

Today was okay with food-I was out with DD at my dad's girlfriends house for their garage sale. DD sets up a little table with cookies and juice to sell with her profits going to the local animal shelter (where dads gf volunteers). Had a chicken sandwich for lunch. Dinner tonight was tacos and ff refried beans. Not too bad. I am still working on my water. Would you believe it is harder for me to drink all my water on the weekends than during the week when I am at work?

This week I am going to try very hard to get my weights into my routine. I have been negligent on that front, and really need to get back to it.
Tomorrow morning is a long run, I may do the whole 7 miles of the path near our house.

Hello Red Team!

I made it through the weekend :) Our weekend is Fri-Sat. here so DH and the boys are back to school, except DS11 is here with me, not feeling well.

Had a really stressful weekend, battling over Ice Hockey :confused3 DS11 had signed up and we were told he'd be in one group and they were wanting to move him to a REALLY young group of kids (6-7s) basically because a new coach guy is trying to run the place and turn it into this big competitive thing! Anyway...I lost about 3 nights sleep over this. We did finally get it resolved yesterday and moved him down to the the 9-10s, which is what we wanted since he's just turned 11. Amazingly, during all the stress I didn't eat everything in the house! Progress.

Thurs I did eat pizza, but I ate only veggies and beans for breakfast/lunch, so it was ok. Friday we ate at Fuddruckers and I shared a salad with DS8. Last night was not great... We had friends over who are moving soon. I grilled steaks, baked potatoes, made a salad, had carrots, celery, cucumbers, corn on the cob...all pretty good choices... and Apple Crisp with vanilla HaugenDaus Ice Cream. AND I just ate some more of it this morning for breakfast! BAD KATY!

Its a struggle, isn't it ladies? This food thing ;) But, I've been doing really well and do need to live in the real world.

Favorite Disney Moment.... Oh I don't know!

How about two?? First one, our first trip to WDW. The boys were 5,7,9. We were to our last day, all tired, DH had a killer headache, I was torn between staying at Epcot and going to Magic Kingdom to watch Wishes. We were debating what to do and not really finding anything to do/watch in the world showcase. We came to Maelstrom and the wait time listed was 45 min. The kids were wanting to RIDE something, but we weren't sure we wanted to wait, so we sat down on the ledge to think about it. THEN, two Norwegian girls came out of the entrance. Asked us, "Are you going on the boat ride?" We explained that we wanted to but didn't want to wait. They told us to come with them, took us to the front of the line, dressed the boys up in Viking Hats and swords and rode with us!!!! Magic.

Second one DisneyLand Paris, one year later. My oldest son started running a fever on Day 3 and was just feeling lousy. It was cold, he was miserable but being SUCH a great TROOPER! He decided to sit on a bench while we rode some rides with his brothers. He was wearing mittens lined with rabbit fur that I'd borrowed from a friend and I made a big deal not to lose them. So he's sitting on the bench and here comes GOOFY! Goofy comes and pulls his mitten off his hand and starts dangling it over Jacob's head. It was sooo funny and poor Jacob was laughing soo hard! Magic.

Have a great Sunday everybody!
Katy
