Everyone's favorite Disney experiences are so cool. :goodvibes

Hypermommy & njmom23grls: Your Disney moments brought tears to my eyes. What special moments!!!

On a side note: I was totally shocked when I started wearing my pedometer last Saturday. I actually checked it a few times to make sure it was working right. It seems that I take approximately 2000 steps every night just doing my mommy duties. I have also figured out that it is approximately 1000 steps from my office to the lab where the people who work with me are located so instead of making one trip a day to see what I can do to help out, I'm now making 2-3. They seem to like it and it is an easy way for me to log some extra steps. It's become a win/win.

Hi ladies!!! My name is Terrie and I'm new to your team and this whole thing!! So I hope to make some new friends along the way.

I haven't lost anything yet for as I'm just starting this today.

I'm going back in March to my Magical place asnd I don't want to be this weight. I just got married two weeks ago and I looked like a freakin fat marshmellow walking down the aisle with my back fat hanging out!!! I was mortified!!!:scared1: :scared1:

So, right now, I wear anything from a size 22/24-26/28. I've never been that high!! If you can't read this part way, it's because I'm sitting here balling my eyes out..so I apologize!!:sad1: :sad1:

We want to have baby, but not this weight. People think I'm prego now sometimes. I want for people to be able to tell when they see me, not guess!! My goal is to be between 250-270lbs when we go. I've very tall for a woman(5' 9 1/2") so I don't look that bad. I want to be a size 18/20 when I go.

Sorry for ranting but, I jsut needed it. I'll be back and hope to see you guys!!!:thumbsup2

OFTD--Disney moment--

My son meeting his hero, the Red Power Ranger, on his first trip ever to the World!!!:cloud9:

Hi Terrie!

I grew up not too far from Toledo although I live in Kentucky now. Good to meet you!

Don't be so hard on yourself! You can do this-we all can!

Terrie - Welcome and congrats on your marriage. Come chat with us anytime. The blue team is a great support system.

I just realized that I forgot to post that I lost 2 pounds this week. I kept walking with my coworkers, but I didn't walk at home as much as I would have like to.

I'm going to Washington DC for 3 days next week for a work conference. I hope I can walk at night or in the morning before it starts. My DH is coming with me, so I'm sure we will be doing some touring at night.

Welcome Terrie! I am a newbie too...

I lost 5.5 pounds this week. I did work hard, but this was technically my week 1 losing water weight etc. and next week will be much harder as watching Biggest Loser last week reminded me.

I have been counting my points diligently, ok with water, and moderate exercise with stationary bike a few mornings and coaching soccer twice this week. I am going to try really hard not to have a crazy weekend- although it is beer-thirty and alcohol is one of my biggest empty calorie indulgences.

My favorite Disney moment was riding the Pirates of the Carribean ride with my family last Halloween dressed as pirates! several times... Arrr!

Hey... I didn't say it was "water weight" as it was going on. I'm not going to call it that as it's coming off. I'm going to claim every dadgummed pound! :rotfl2:

I know what you mean. But doesn't liquor have less calories than beer? Yeah.. now that I'm thinking about it a Konk Kooler is sounding really good right about now!

Sorry should have made it clear I lost 5lbs I was struggling with the conversion I have sorted it now.

I will let them know I am amazed with my 5lbs and really happy.

My special disney moment was at Disney last year watching the christmas parade and a CM called Angelique approached us and asked if we had done HM and I said no as I couldnt do it it was too scary.

She said what if you got on without the stretch room and I said yeah and I got to go the back way and now i love it. Also hubby got made a lost boy.

Hi everyone. Hmmm, I guess I wasn't as good as I thought I was this week, I actually gained a pound.:headache:  I am going to have to redouble my efforts to make the blue team proud.

I LOVE reading all of the Favorite Disney Memories. I couldn't wait to ask that question!!!

I am sooo tired right now, and I have the competition early tomorrow, so I will get to the responses to all of the posts hopefully tomorrow night.

My favorite Disney Memory: Well I have several...

1. When we were picked as the Magic Family and got to open Magic Kingdom. It was absolutely magical... for one, (I know I shouldn't think this way), but I am grateful for the CM that picked us because as an Obese person I never thought they would pick us because of that. He made me feel like a "real person". (ok, I am crying now!) AND in addition to that, on the way down mainstreet, my DS was absolutely amazed that "We let all those people in"! Very magical!:wizard:

2. Belle sitting down with DD during the Christmas Party and having a long discussion about her favorite book. (Elmo says Achhoo)

3. WE were picked as Fanstasyland Family and I thanked the CM PROFUSELY and she gave us extra fast passes and ended up being First Family on Buzz lightyear and we got 30 Fastpasses!!! At the end of June and it was HOT AND BUSY! Sure made our day.

4. Our first Disney Cruise because I never thought in a million years we could afford to go on a cruise!

5. Our second cruise was amazing, we went to CC twice and it was pure heaven. I rarely relax on vacations and that beach day was fun to just sit and relax. We also did the parasailing, (again because of my weight, I never thought I would do it, so I enjoyed it). AND we went to the Mayan ruins, That was an experience that was so surreal. Oh, and the submarine ride was outstanding. I am claustrophobic and can't even snorkel, so just seeing all the marine life below the sea was a true dream come true.

6. My mommy and daughter trip was just so much fun, the entire trip is filled with bonding moments with my DD that filled my heart with love.

7. Our crazy morning RUNNING to Tink's treasures for DD to wake up TINK. We were successful, and she was so happy to have woken up Tink, it made both of our day.

Thanks for reading, Disney is truly the best Place!!!!:wizard:

Hi Blue! The last THREE times I've attempted to post, my computer has gone crazy. Anyway, I lost 2 more pounds this week, total of 5. I'm pretty happy with that. I exercised 4 days instead of the 5 I aimed for for my mini challenge, so that will be my goal again next week. Everyone is doing so well!

My favorite Disney moment, hmmm... honestly, our whole last trip was pretty magical. It was our kids' first time going. We'd started planning our visit in July and in August found out that we were expecting our little "bonus boy". I sobbed hysterically for a week and then decided that we were going to Disney anyway! We went in June with a 7 week old baby! He was a dream and we had a super magical time. I'm so thankful in hindsight that we went when he was so tiny because he was an easy baby but if we'd have waited a year, we would have had a VERY busy toddler at Disney!

Princess: Good luck at your tournament. You're so brave and you'll feel so great about yourself for accomplishing this.

Bellybee: 5 pounds! Wow!!

Terri: Welcome!!

njmom23girls: My brother's wife's niece has PKU. She's 3 and doing fine, but I know how much work you guys put into checking levels, feeding and cooking. Just an FYI: My brother's brother-in-law went toe to toe with their insurance carrier and got them to cover the cost of some or all of the special foods. The formula is free, right? But when you have to start footing the cost of special foods it gets expensive. Would your insurance cover it maybe? Didn't mean to hijack. Anyway, yea to you for taking care of yourself as well as your little girl!

More later. Great job everyone!!

Christine

I stayed the same. I ate too much fast food, as I had a crazy week. Next week will be the same. I guess I need to pack lunch and dinner as I am gone for both of those meals most days.

I hope all of you are doing well.

Hiya Guys!
Not too good this week only .5 lbs but it's better than going UP. Mainly I haven't managed to exercise much at all. Next week will be bad in the eating front as my DH and I will celebrate our 20th and my DS and DD are planning to cook for us (best gift ever: DS 17 and DD11 who actually cook - o.k. they grill, but still... and they clean up too!).

My favorite Disney moment has to be when DS, DD and I were in Disneyland and we watched in disbelief as this family turned down the opportunity to be in the parade. We said no way we would have ever turned it down... well... about 10 minutes later a CM approached US! :dance3: they took us backstage where the floats were, had me sign a bunch of forms and then taught us a routine. DS must have been around 11 at the time and I was proud of the fact that they made him wear a tutu and he didn't mind, plus he carried our backpack the whole parade route (that was the only strange thing, they had nowhere for us to leave our stuff... ) I was bummed that there was no one with us to take our picture, but we have some very special Blue Fairy pins to commemorate the occasion. One thing I learned that day... being a performer is no cake walk...

Have an amazing week everyone.

ToodlesRN good luck with the surgery!

baby1disney - chill, girlfriend..... you can do this... we know you can. And you've taken the first and most important step - recognized that you have a problem and decided to do something about it. With this marvelous team of women you'll get through it.

Oooooh, but I had a bad night. Laying in bed watching Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and all I could think about was food. So .... well, I won't say what I had but let me just say that neither one of the snacks I chose had anything to do with losing weight. And one of them I ate while laying down watching the movie - which I said I wasn't going to do anymore!!! <long sigh> Oh well.. as Scarlett said, tomorrow is another day. And that day's today so here I go again.

I've done very good so far this morning. I cooked those little cinnamon rolls this morning (the ones that have 8 in the can) and I only ate 2. Then I put on my sneakers and walked/mostly jogged 2 miles in 31 minutes. I'm very excited and very hot. I'm sitting here drinking water, trying to cool down before I take a shower. Hope everyone has a good day - go Blue!

Hi,

I have not had a great weekend really so far i had a day off yesterday as it was after weigh in and then today we ended up going to lunch.

My husband has been annoying me though checking everything I eat and tutting at it I feel like an exhibit in the zoo I am really cross today.

Also I had the job interview yesterday and I really really want the job so please cross your fingers and have positive thoughts I should find out in a couple of weeks.

I usually decide to go with the rum and diet coke when I need a lesser point value...:rotfl:

Good Luck with your fresh start today. Have you considered planning out your movie snacks (smart pop etc) and allowing yourself the indulgence of snacking while laying down watching a movie? That's a tough habit to break- and really maybe you don't have to... just a thought- not a judgment! ;)

Keep up the great work- I am doing pretty good today- on schedule with points and water and just got back from coaching my youngest at the soccer fields (not much exercise for me, but perhaps it counts for something) I suppose I should get on the exercise bike now that I think about it... thanks for the motivation! Go Blue!

Becky- The mickey pumpkin picture in your signature is adorable! I have found that buying a bunch of healthy choice soups and leaving them at the office helps with the time crunch and keeping me from as many fast food runs... good luck!

Hey guys! I was down one pound this week.

We went to the mall and picked up our new treadmill this morning and put it together. It was a workout alone getting that thing into the house and down in the basement. :lmao: I don't get to use it today as I have to head to work in half an hour but I can't wait to get a workout in on it tomorrow.

I am not a big drinker and it's a good thing too because my scale hates when I drink anything! But I did find away around making fruity drinks that I like with a lot less calories...I use vodka, crystal light and diet 7up. Some of the crystal lights flavors make really nice drinks...the only time I drink crystal light is when I put vodka in it:lmao:

I am having a horrible food day:scared1: It's been the first time in 3 weeks and it's been bad:sad2:
