Hi,

I have not had a great weekend really so far i had a day off yesterday as it was after weigh in and then today we ended up going to lunch.

My husband has been annoying me though checking everything I eat and tutting at it I feel like an exhibit in the zoo I am really cross today.

Also I had the job interview yesterday and I really really want the job so please cross your fingers and have positive thoughts I should find out in a couple of weeks.

:pixiedust: Best of luck with the job!

My husband and girls have been doing this too me for the past three weeks...everytime I go in the kitchen my dd say's something like mom remember you are trying to be healthy:goodvibes I can get a little annoying but I know they want what's best for me and it's working so I kinda hope they keep it up:goodvibes

I don't use the word diet in my house...as I am trying my hardest to set a healthy path for my girls...so I tell them I have to eat extra healthy to get my body healthy again since there was a time when I got lost with my eating and ate a lot of things that was not good for my body. My girls usually have one treat a day which is what I plan to do once I am where I am supose to be...right now I have one treat a week.

I thought I share a before/after picture with everyone...

Here's a before picture of me...I was about 255 and those shorts were a size 24. I remember thinking when I bought them that they must be a small make;)

This was taken last December...I was about the same weight I am now...my jeans are a size 6...tight but a 6:rotfl:...I normally wear a 8-10 but when I tried them on and they fit I had to buy them:rotfl: This is the first week I have been able to wear those jeans since last year and they aren't tight so I am very happy!! Thanks for everyones support! I want to loose 21 more pounds to get to my lifetime goal...that would put me at 150.

Wow Jaime, thanks for posting that picture. You've done great! How motivating. Your persistence has really paid off!:thumbsup2

Jaime- You look great! Thanks for sharing your success!:cheer2:

Well, had the diabetes walk today, and it was a lot of fun. It helped that it was my first time seeing my boyfriend in about a month and a half. Afterwards we went to Worlds of Fun where he is a supervisor and he got me to ride the Rip Cord. It's one of those rides where they hook you to a harness, pull you to the top of a tower, then let you go and you swing back and forth on a cable. It was terrifying!

My favorite Disney moment:
I was helping out Mickey Mouse at the frotn of the park in DAK when a little Make A Wish boy with a walker came to the line. The boy left his walker with his mom and struggled up to Mickey, and the mom started bawling. Mickey was unsure of what was going on, but interacted with the little boy like he would any Wish child. When he got backstage, Mickey asked the attendant what that was all about. This is what she said:

The little boy has Muscular Dystrophy, and was told that when he went back home from his trip he would be in a wheelchair the left of his life. His wish was to walk up to Mickey Mouse, and those were the last unaided steps he would ever take.

My other favorite Disney moment is from helping out Stitch at the TimeKeeper. A woman and her mother came up with an autograph book, and told Stitch it was for the boy named Andre the woman was going to adopt the following month. Stitch signed the book, "To Andre, Love Stitch. P.S., I'm adopted too!" When the mom saw what Stitch had written she started crying. It was a neat moment.

I think I have some before and after pictures.... Let me see what I can dig up!

I'm just in a funk. I am bored and lonely and I just want to DO something. I'm facing another week of doing everything alone and if dh gets back next weekend, he'll just have to start his regular 14 hour days again.:headache: I've not done well this weekend at all. We're supposed to be going to a cute little B&B in Normandy today for a couple of nights, but of course that's out since dh is gone.

I need to get out of this funk. Hate feeling this way.:headache:

Just wanted to send out good vibes to everyone that's struggling this weekend...:goodvibes :goodvibes . Keep your chins up and vent away as needed.

Love the before and after pics too, always so inspiring.

Weekend here has been OK so far. We are taking FIL out to dinner tonight to celebrate his birthday but will probably get a salad so I'll be OK. I have to remember to get my water in, sometimes on Sunday, sitting around a little more, I don't drink as much as I normally do. So, that is my goal today, to make sure to stay hydrated.

Wow, I love those before and after pics. It's such an inspiration!

I'm still in "before" mode and am allergic to cameras. :rolleyes1

Dianatlol - I didn't have a chance to get on yesterday but thanks for the encouragement. I was right there with you for a clean start!

Bellybee -- good luck on the job! And try to be patient with your husband. He's trying to help and as the old country start put it, "after all, he's just a man" LOL

Shewelch - that's a great idea! I'll plan that when I'm watching a movie I get to snack on something and even lay down if I want. After all, I don't get time to watch movies often so it should work! Thanks!!!

Jaime - great idea about the crystal light in fruity drinks! I'm definitely going to look at their flavors at the store today becuase I'm jonesing for a konk kooler. It's not vodka (2 kinds of rum) but the crystal light should be better than the other full calorie stuff. And don't worry about the bad food day. Everyone gets to have a bad day once in a while. Remember it's a lifestyle change and everyone gets to be "angry" (or have bad food days) now and again. And thank you thank you thank you for the pictures!!!! I'm heavier than you were in the first picture but I can see what a difference a lifestyle change can make and it was defintely encouraging to see the two of them together!!! You don't even look like the same person. And look... you still have ****ies (hey.. in my house ****ies are a big thing... DH and 2 teeanaged boys LOL) and it's something I definitely worry about losing.

OMG Eeyores!!! That Rip Cord is definitely something I could NOT do!! Glad you had fun at the diabetes walk. OMG!! What a story about the boy with MD! And you've got me crying from the Stitch moment. Aren't the Disney castmembers just the absolute most caring people in the world!!!!!

Dianatlol - thanks for your pictures too! Such an inspiration!!!! Thanks!!!!

Briarmom - I hope you're feeling better. We all get in funks and it's no fun at all. Wish there were something I could do to help.

JunebugTN - I'm with you! I'm still in "before" mode so I'm not sharing any pictures!!! And :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: at being allergic to cameras.

Well, I had a busy, busy, busy day yesterday. Woke up at 3:30AM. Since I'd set the alarm to 4, I decided just to go ahead and get up. Why so early? Had to have DS14 across town at 9am for the Young Marines gig he had. Once a month they do maintenance at a local VFW cemetary... cutting grass and cleaning up and that sort of thing. While he was working I walked back and forth along the road for about 30-45 minutes while I was listening to a podcast. And even with doing that I was only at 4K steps yesterday. 10K steps is going to be darn near impossible, but I'm not quitting. I'll get it somehow.

Then, on the way back, I saw a yard sale with a bike. I'm planning to start biking to work now that it's not so bloomin' hot around here anymore. It's about 2 miles so it should be good. I'm going to ride over there this evening to see how long it'll take me. So after that we stopped by Walmart and got me a helmet, a basket and a bike lock. Got back and the basket didn't fit right on the handlebars so I have to take that back today.

Later on that afternoon DS13's Boy Scout troop was to help their sponsoring church unload pumpkins for their annual fundraiser. Got over there and the truck had been delayed again. So we came home.

Later still (8pm last night) I hosted a speed scrap over at Digi Scrap Depot. Basically what happens is that I give a new instruction for the layout to follow every 10 minutes and then at the end of the hour comes the last instruction. Then folks have one hour to finish up and post their layouts. You'd think that since I was giving the instructions it'd be easier for me, but I just made up a bunch of stuff before the hour and didn't think about how challenging it would be. I had a hard time with one of them (8 elements, because WDW was opened in '71 and 7+1=8). But I was happy with the end result. Here's what I made.

This morning's going pretty well. I actually went and measured out some corn chex cereal. Had two servings but that's only about 300 calories so it should be okay. And I'm stuffed!!!

I put this in on the other thread I started, but I wanted to share with my blue team too....

I had an AMAZING DAY!!!

First I watched my DD do her form, and she did great and got her 3rd place trophy. Then they called the adults....

There were 9 men and 7 women. We were in a staging area and they got us into our groups that we would be competing against. men's groups and women's groups. Well, a few of us were told that since we were the only ones in our age group divisions.... that we already were going to get first place finishes!!!! Sort of took the pressure off!:rotfl: We did have to do our form and when I was done, I shook each of the judges hand and they each said I had a great form.

BUT THEN all the first place finishers in their groups then had to come back to compete for the grand championship trophies. We were seated around the ring. All the young kids on one side, teens on the next side, black belts on 3rd side and adult colored belts on the final side (that means anything below the black belts). So here I was with the other adults, 7 of us. I had to go up against another lady from our school. I felt pretty hopeful because of what the judges said above when I shook their hand. (we had different judges this time). We did our form then you turn around and the judges point to who won that portion (behind our backs initially), then we turn around and I was told to go sit down where we would continue to advance. OH MY GOSH!!!! I couldn't believe I advanced. Then I started thinking "It's possible....". I am sure I had a very goofy smile on my face. I wish I could bottle the emotion I had at that moment, because it was one of pure ecstatic joy!!!!! So then I am in the final round with 3 other people competing for the grand champion trophy. I got down to business and felt like I did a strong, powerful form. Again we had to turn around for the judges to make their selection. I kept looking into the audience for a sign to figure out who won. Couldn't figure it out. They told us to turn around and then guess what?????

I WON THE GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY!!!!

I can hardly believe it! I almost didn't compete because I felt too uncomfortable at my present size... like I would be way out of place there. And I ended up beating out ALL of the other adults. I am still on cloud 9!:cloud9:

If I am standing and my arm is stretched above my head, the trophy is still about 2 inches taller than my hand! It is huge!!!! I am so incredibly proud of my accomplishment. And I hope that I inspire someone else to go for it. It was an amazing experience and I am so glad that I dared to step out and challenge myself. I am so proud.

I went through and read everyone's posts and want to say congrats to you all! You have been doing such a great job with getting healthier, and making time for you. Exercising, watching what you are eating, making great choices...and so much more. I especially love how our team is so supportive of each other.

I thank so many of you that have given back personal replies. I agree that they make such a big difference. Thanks blue!

AND we are almost done with our mini challenge...

Eeyore'sButterfly suggested another mini challenge... this one to be to try a new healthy recipee. I think that is a great idea!:thumbsup2 Anyone up for trying out the new mini challenge?

Go, Go Princess Vija! You so totally rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just read thru this whole weeks thread and am so amazed by all of you and your commitment and inspiration!!! I thought I would FINALLY participate in the threads. I mean, I have been doing the weekly challenges and the WI and lost the first week (1 lb), gained the second (.4 lb)...but got on the scale today and had lost 1.2 MORE from the first loss!!! :cool1:

But my biggest goal this week is to keep in touch and read all of your inspirations and know that I am not the only one struggling with this. Tonight was bad, my DH was away a week, when he came back he wanted to take me out to my favorite restaurant where they have the best Prime Rib EVER - I did order it but ate all my (plain) green beans first and then did not have room to finish my prime rib...I guess thats a small defeat.

My cruise is 1/17/09, one day after our 10 year anniversary and just a few weeks after the BL challenge ends - I am going to be HOT HOT HOT!!! :dance3:

THANKS - You ALL ROCK!!!:grouphug:

UGH - how self centered an I - I meant to send an AMAZING CONGRATULATIONS to Princess Vija - talk about an inspiration!!! I have always wanted to do...maybe now I will!

Great to see ya here 4Goofys4Dis!!!! You just try to log on as often as you can. The folks here are GREAT

Vija- Caught you on the other thread- CONGRATULATIONS again...

Hypermommy- I don't have much time for digiscrapbooking, but I love to when I have the chance- Great job!

After stubbornly counting my points this weekend (I have been a little grumpy, but unwilling to budge and fall of the wagon) I had a nice reward this evening. My 12 year old daugther said that my exercise bike must be paying off since my shirt looked nice on me!
