Welcome to Week #6, BLUE TEAM!!! :grouphug:

I'm wearing a brand new shiny "30 Pound" clippie! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seaspray - WHY you look FABULOUS :cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats - 30 lbs - AWESOME !!!

I was just amazed when I popped on the scales this morning - I have been at ohMom's since Friday with not "terrible" eating but.................. certainly not always the best of best :rolleyes1 BUT

I am DOWN 1 POUND today !!! Such a nice reward for having some great "girl" time and just not really being SO totally strict on the food :dance3:

I am off to get ready for work - Molli and I walked 3.5 miles yesterday and it certainly was a reality call that I need to get into a pattern of some serious tming (translates to my body is "screaming" tender muscles here and there!)

:wizard: :wizard: to some other good numbers on the post today!

Hugs - and I am going to make this week count - I am excited to finally see the scale moving DOWNWARD !!!!

Congratulations, ladies! Terry that clippie sure is perrrrty! Bev, you just make me smile. I wanna be you, with all that energy!

I lost 1½ pounds, finally getting a 5 pound clippie. Fingers crossed that the new clippie will inspire me to get moving and get the next one a lot faster!

Don't forget to email your points to Vija for this week's challenge. I'll do mine when I get home from work....and squeeze in a bath! :goodvibes

Good luck to those who haven't stepped on the scale yet!

I;ve been away from a computer for a few and haven't been able to check in. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up reading last weeks thread I missed.
I was sooo excited when I got on the scale this morning. I'm contributing a 5.6 pound loss to the team this week.
Congrats and best wishes to everyone else for weigh in today!

good morning TEAM!

:cheer2: we are :rockband: the house already! :woohoo: can i get a whoop-whoop?

Seaspray!! ROCK ON!! and i read your story about your closet and shorts and i was sooooo excited for you!! it's such a great feeling to just slip into clothing that once was too tight or impossible.....that is what i'm working towards! btw -- you look mahvalous in your new clippie!

AEG - mom -- i was thinking the same thing! i maintained this week and was okely-doekly with that considering we didn't journal but i think it means we are learning again boundaries! this is GOOD! i'm thrilled you lost a pound, i think wine was the ticket :teeth: Sorry your muscles are talking to you (hehehe) no really (HEHEHE) why do i feel like Jillian? beatings, beatings, beatings...

Debbie -- you too are sporting a new fresh look in your siggie! CYBER HIGH FIVE! and that when didn't you have a holiday this week up north? i took my bubble bath last night and i must say it was nice ::yes::

geekerbell -- it's ok but i'm glad to see you back! and WOWSER what a great week you had!

here's a little :tinker: to all of our team mates yet to step on their scale today --

for the team challenge today i have my 10 mins chores to do which is going to be working on putting out my Halloween decorations out. also a trip to the library -- any author recommendations? i like suspense/mystery books like James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, etc

Great work ladies! :cheer2: The new clippies look awesome :goodvibes

I'm down 1.4 pounds this week. Not as much as I would have liked but it's a loss all the same. I was really hoping to have my new 50 pound clippie but it looks like that will have to wait until next week. I'll have it then for sure!::yes::

Geekerbell, you are amazing!! 5.6 pounds this week! You rock girl :rockband:

Well, Good morning everyone! Wow...we have already had some amazing losses! :cool1:

Seaspray: 30 lb. Clippie!! That is so awesome! I know that you must be so proud of yourself. What a huge accomplishment. I can't wait to be where you are....You are an inspiration!:thumbsup2

AEG: Way to go being down a pound! Congrats on getting that big walk in yesterday. I am getting to where I like to hear my muscles "talking" to me....It lets me know they are still there!!!

Debbie: Your new clippie looks GREAT! :goodvibes I can't wait until I get mine! Hope you had a wonderful holiday.

Geekerbell:  WOW.....5.6 loss. Amazing! I know you must be so proud. Keep it up!! That is very motivating!

Ohmom: I love reading about your and AEG's relationship! Congrats on maintaining. How great to be so close to your mom.

Luckywife: Great job on losing 1.4!!!!:woohoo: I know sometimes we wish it was a bigger number, but 1.4 is really a lot of weight that will stay off forever.! I am so impressed that you have lost practically 50 lbs! What a great accomplishment!!!

Well, I lost 4 lbs this week. I have been in a crazy plateau for awhile now and something just clicked this week and the scale started to move! I am so thrilled. I have had a good week with my exercising.
My DH is also watching his weight, so that helps that we are on the same page. Of course, his weight is just melting off!!! Not fair, but I am glad for him too, because he takes blood pressure medicine and he is only 37. I am glad he is taking care of himself.
I am off to the Doctor this morning. I have developed a strange rash under my bra line that is only getting WORSE!! Needless to say, exercise and 86 degree plus weather is not helping things in that area.
I hope they can give me something! It is driving me crazy!

Congrats to all the BLUE team members!!!:dance3:

Congrats to everyone on the losses and the beautiful new clippies! :yay:

I lost 1.5 pounds this week which I should be thankful for. Unfortunately I have been (and still am) feeling quite sick so while I lost weight I didn't get any challenge points or do really any exercise at all. I really wish I could kick this nasty cold I have because I just feel so drained. Plus this past week has just been really stressful in general.

I have found myself slipping a bit in the food area these past few days. I think when you just feel so drained and tired and you are not up and moving it is just so easy to slide back into those bad habits. I have to put a stop to that TODAY! I would really love that 60 pound clippie by next week which means I want to lose another 1.5 pounds by next week which is really doable if I just put my mind to it.

On a the good news side the special mitigation company came out to look at what we had done with the water damage we had and said we did everything right. In fact they used their little moisture sensor and could not pick up any so it looks like we got everything dried out exactly as we should have fairly quickly. The recommended that we just make the repairs to the carpet ourselves and cancel our insurance claim so we did. We spent last night trying to relay padding and the carpet. It is certainly not a professional job but good enough for now. We would like to redo the flooring in the next few years anyway but hopefully it will be on our terms and after we have had time to really research what we want.

Also my company has posted an internal opening for a DBA (database administrator) position and I think I am going to throw my hat in the ring. I have had some interest in this type of work in the past but I never felt confident enough to apply but this time I think I will. I am sure the competition will be fierce but I feel I owe it to myself to give it a shot. :)

Also I made our final payment on our November WDW trip last night. It is really getting close and I am starting to get very excited. I sure do need the break. :)

I hope everyone has a great week!

WooHoo! Look at all the losses!

I'm down 1 lb. this week. Not the 3 I wanted but I'll take it.

Sabrina

Congratulations you big losers:banana: :woohoo: :cheer2: I am down 2lbs this week, I just completed my first week of Weight Watchers. It has helped me be more honest with what I am putting in my mouth. I am really thinking before I eat. Not that I don't eat any junk, but I ask myself if it is worth it. Sometimes it is:rotfl:

Good morning blue team! Thanks Sea Spray for being our early riser! LOVE Ya!:thumbsup2

SeaSpray, Wow, I have to put on my shades, that new clippie is sparkling!:cool2:

AlreadyexcitedGrammy, congrats on the 1# loss! YIPEEE! Hope those tender muscles settle down for you.

Debbie, Love your new clippie too! that looks fantastic! Congrats on the 1 1/2 pound loss!!!

Geekerbell:worship: That is amazing! Way to go on the 5.6 # loss! You are doing fantastic!!!!

ohMom, maintaining is great, because I bet it is setting you up for a big loss next week! Onward and Downward!

luckywife, woohooo, 1.4# is getting you closer to your dream! and you'll have that 50# clippie next week I know it!

DisneyMomTwins, YEAH YOU GO GIRL! YOu stuck it through the plateau and now you have been rewarded with a 4# loss! FANTASTIC! And how cool is that that your DH is joining forces with you. Together you will be fantasticly fit! Hope the MD had some help for the rash. Keep us posted.

becka, wow, becka you have a lot going on! congrats on hanging in there through the tough times and now you are rewarded with a 1.5# loss! YEAH!:woohoo: I wish you tons of luck to get the new job! And good news on the water/carpet issue. Hoping you have a successful week in all of your endeavours!

Sabrina_Mouse, 1# is great! You will get to that goal, 1 pound at at time!:yay:

AuntieM03, congrats on the 2# loss and your first week on WW! You are doing awesome! sometimes that junk food is worth it isn't it! LOL! I can "hear" the excitement in your post! Way to go!

I lost 1.5# this week. I am a little bummed because I was already there on Thursday and didn't loose anything since then, I was hoping for more. I think this will be a week that I put the scale away. I want to really challenge myself to get some more weight lost. I want that new clippie before I leave on our trip.

Inspired by our challenge this week. We were challenged to nourish our well being this week, how did you do?

What surprised you? What did you like? What didn't you like? Did you find you had the time to take care of you?

Quality time, catching up with friends, pampering bubble baths, leisure reading, extra walking and chores for the house. What was your favorite? Tell us all!

for this weeks motivational challenge, I was surprised at how hard it was for me to "squeeze in time" to pamper myself and spend that time with my kids the way I wanted to/ wished to do. We are so busy running around to different kid activities that we don't often have the quiet "quality time". I found after I spent the time with the kids I was happier, and I know that was time well spent. I learned that I want to make sure I MAKE the time to try to get more 1:1 time with each kid. Just taking time, talking, relaxing, cherishing the wonderful kids I have.

I also found that the bubble bath was hard to squeeze in, once I did it, it felt great, but was surprised how life gets in the way of pampering myself. I am so glad I "took the day off" yesterday to cherish myself and enjoy the day. It is 20 degrees cooler today and so glad I got out in the warm weather to enjoy the day.

I worked hard at getting in a lot of the challenge points, and I really learned that I need to not let life "get in the way" but to cherish life more each day and bring in some pampering, quality time each day so I can enjoy each day a little bit more!

Important announcement! In case you missed it in last weeks thread, the WISH biggest loser central is taking a break for 1 week only from team challenges.

We need to wrap up this weeks challenge, so come on team, lets get another win for the blue team! remember to send in your team challenge points! We can do it!!!!

Apparently being sick and looking pale is a good thing for me. :rotfl:

I have had 3 people stop me today to tell me how great I am looking. I have obviously had people notice my weight loss before but never this many in the same day. I just find it funny that on a day I feel like crud and figure I probably look like crud as well that is the day that people are so complimentary. Maybe I look so sick they are trying to cheer me up? ;) Whatever the reason I am grateful. Getting that many compliments sure makes it easier to stick to my plans, kwim?

As for the weekly question: No I didn't really have time to make time for me unless you count Saturday when I spent the vast majority of the day in bed feeling like a truck hit me. I guess I did make time for me when I told DH that he had to deal with the kids all day since I was in no shape to keep up with them. Does that count? I really was looking forward to last weeks challenge but it was just bad timing for me. I think I might try to sneak in a few of those ideas over the next few weeks or so when I start feeling better.

Hey Blue Team!

Congrats to all the losers this week! ;)

Unfortunately I had a gain this week. Well considering I went to Niagara on the Lake with my girlfriends this weekend and drank way to much wine I am not surprised that I had a gain. I promise to get back on track this week and hopefully have a big loss next week to make up for my slip up.

In regards to the question I found it hard to take time out for myself. I did not take a bubble bath, go to the library (but I did read my bookclub book) or spend time with my neices (was out of town and usually spend time with them on the weekends) I did however park the furthest and walk and also the chores around the house.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Michele :grouphug:

Well, I went to the doctor today about my rash....and he said that it looks like I have the Shingles!
That totally blew me out of the water....I was expecting heat rash, yeast infection....but Shingles????

He gave me some medicine, so hopefully it will start to get better soon. The "rash" is right under my well, uh...my uh....bra...but without the bra on....:rotfl:
He called his assistant in and everybody was just staring at me...Of course...because of twins, weight loss, age, gravity, etc....I was having to hold it up so they could see! :scared:
Very humiliating!!
I was so tempted to go by the Great American Cookie Company on the way back home to comfort myself.....but I thought of you guys and I didn't do it!! :cool1:
Congrats to all the Losers! I am going to check webmd to see what I can learn about this!!!

oh DISNEYMOMTWINS!!

i have had shingles, i think i had a fairly mild case, but i do remember.....take care of yourself, get lots of rest and just take it easy!!

I finally feel like I can contribute something to the Blue Team. I lost 5 pounds this week. I was able to do quite a bit of the weekly challenge. We don't have kids, but I managed to fit in some quality time with DH that didn't involve watching TV (which is quite difficult). I got to the library and checked out some books, parked at the edge of the parking lot several times, took 2 bubblebaths, did my chores every day and even called a cousin of mine who I haven't spoken to in a year. I found that I really had to make an effort to get these things done. Congrats to all our losers this week! Becka and Disneymomtwins - I hope you both feel better soon. Michele - You were in our neck of the woods. Hope you enjoyed Niagara-on-the-Lake. You'll get back on track this week!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week - and remember whether we gained, maintained, or lost, we're all winners because we check in here and support each other!
Nancy

and remember whether we gained, maintained, or lost, we're all winners because we check in here and support each other!

::yes:: That's us! Supporters, holding things together...and up, ;) . Now, if Bob can get his blue team together tonight . . . .

Molli, I like Patterson, too, and also Joy Fielding (she's a Canadian author). Gotta love Janet Evanovich. Her books make me laugh out loud. :rotfl:

Geekerbelle, I think that you might win immunity this week with the biggest weight loss! :cool1:

luckywife, I can hardly weight until next week for that new clippie on you! :3dglasses

DisneyMomTwins, way to keep plugging, despite the plateau. :woohoo: Onward towards goal!

Vija, you know the drill....DON'T get on the scale between weighings. It can really upset us (or set us up) emotionally. Once a week. Do we need to hide yours in the trunk of your car? :rotfl2:

Becka, of course you look wonderful-even if you think that you are pale and sickly. :lmao:

Michele, read Nancy's thoughts. They are for you. :cheer2:

Nancy, that is some loss. Congratulations!

PSA: Email those points to Vija tonight, so that you don't forget, or lose track of time. We are the Blue Team, and we are strong together!
