not sure what happened here, but we're heading to the world on the 4/3 deal and staying in june at the ASMu suite, with the dining plan.

I got non-hopper tix (7 day base tix) for 5 and the dining plus plan. (1 ts, 1 qs, 1 snack)

we're staying 7 nights. I had originally needed to make my final payment on my reservation on may 11th, which was 500.00. Due to budget issues I called and asked for an extention on my payment so as not to loose my ressie.

I had a very nice CM, (wdw travel), and she told me she would "downgrade" my park tix to 3 day base tix, to keep my vacation in the paid in full status...then I needed to just upgrade back to 7 day tix before my trip. Accounting treated my booking as paid in full, and my staus with 4/3 was not affected.

Earlier this week, I called to make my upgrade and shell out the 500.00, and to my surprise another CM (again very nice) told me it was simple to upgrade back to 7 day base tix and politely put me on hold. Now, I was on hold for a long time, but no biggie....when she got back on she said my upgrade was a total of 45.00!!!

I even asked 3 times if all the features were still there, like, dining, room, tix, number of days...and she said yes and verified everything!

only 45.00 instead of 500? I even checked in on-line and all the details are correct!

I'm not looking to dismantle my happiness, just baffled how this happened:confused3

but, hey, I'm not complaining! just more to spend in the parks:wizard:

Wow! That's amazing, congratulations!! :cutie::woohoo:

If it's good news, don't argue!! :rotfl:

I had something similar happen when I made a change in my reservations. I originally booked in December. In March I called and moved my reservation back one day. Originally we were staying at POR from 6/27 through 7/6. 5 adults with 10 day park hoppers on the buy 4 get 3 deal. TOtal price $3,323.60. Well flights on the 27th were about 100 dollars more per person than flights on the 28th so I called to see if I could move my reservation by 1 day so we would arrive June 28th and leave July 7. The price fell to $2,734.94:confused3. WHen I originally booked I checked the numbers and they worked. When it fell that much I again went online and checked the numbers and now the lower numbers work:confused3. DId disney actually lower the room rates or something? I'm still going over the 4th of July so the season is the same! But hey I am not going to look a gifthorse in the mouth!

That's great! What's curious to me is that when you changed your package to owe less, all you did was drop $75 off the price of the park tickets, but saved yourself $500? Sounds like you got some Disney Magic on the front end as well, when you changed the plan! :cool1:

Enjoy your trip!

What a nice surprise! Some "magic" before your trip even starts ;)

maybe there is something to that? Maybe they dropped room rates? I'm actually going the same time as you from the 25th of june to 2nd of july...it's so cool, I'm more excited than ever and I did not think that was possible!:cloud9:

Hey we are fellow upstate NYers! I am in the mid hudson valley. How about you.

Where are you staying? ETA nevermind I just read your post and see you are in the suites. Let us know how that is, we've thought of trying them oput too!

Hudson valley! that's not far at all:goodvibes

I'm north of Albany...S springs! what a small world...(no pun intended)

I'm looking forward to the suites...not sure what to expect though! Just me and the kids, so I originally had us in Beach club but 2 bathrooms was too appealing, so I'm giving it a try! will let ya know if they are a good deal...so far they are and I'm not even there yet!

btw, did you get a decent deal on airfair...I used priceline and we're flying out of Albany, 188.00 rountrip, still feels like alot though!

You did better than I did. Could only get $154 going down and $89 coming back on Southwest out of Albany. No Dings for our dates. I guess things are changing. I got used to getting 59.00 airfare.

It is a small world, I used to work in S. SPrings! We lived off of exit 11 back then!

sounds like you did well, too...anything under 300.00 around here is considered a deal!

I know right where you were...round lake area? well here's to us upstate'rs! Hope you have a fantastick trip--I'll have my LGMH!:thumbsup2
