Hi again! Hope I'm not driving everyone nuts! ;)

But on my last post two people responded that their american girl bitty baby cribs fell apart rather quickly, and of course, that is one of dd (almost 3) Christmas gifts! So then I got to thinking about the other two items on her list which are the bitty bath set and the changing table. Does anyone have either of these two items, and if so, any thoughts on their quality or if they are as cute as they look?

Thanks again! And I promise, no more AG questions from me tonight!
:wave2:

We have the crib (from last xmas) and my DD4 plays with it a lot and it is still in great condition. I feel like AG stuff holds up pretty well. I don't have those other items but we have the 2 piece high chair and the infant carrier which also get played with lots and are both holding up well.

We have the bed, and the bottom did come out of it, but you can snap it back in.
We also have the changing table (it has been fine, had it for awhile)
We just recently got the bath set! :)

We have the 2-piece high chair and stroller. Both are great. I just bought the baby carrier for Christmas. I love the quality of AG stuff and had just assumed my DD was 'too' rough with the crib. It seems like the screws they use to secure the side rails never did the job. Although, I loved the way the screws were hidden from site and little hands. The screws never held tight and the plastic holes became stripped. I tried crazy clue and bigger screws - just never did the job. It would stay together as long as no one touched it.

The high chair and stroller never had a problem and they are used every day.

You know I wonder if I have the older style crib. Ours is plastic, and the bottom of the crib has grooves it fits in to the frame, no screws, so I might have a different changing table too.

We have the bed and have had no problems with it. We did have the bottom did fall out of it, but only when DD climbed in for a little nap. :rotfl2: I put it back together after the nap incident and have had no problems since. We also have the changing table - it is a little wobbly, but I could probably tighten some screws and make it more stable. Overall it's fine. We have an older stroller from AG and it was terrible. Again DD did try to sit in it some :sad2: , but that isn't when we had the problems. We've had much better luck with the little play Graco stroller.

Oh, and a little aside for anyone that's interested - the "My Disney Girl" outfits fit on Bitty Baby. We bought DD the Cinderella outfit for her Bday and it fits like a glove - it's darling!!! :thumbsup2

We have the crib and it falls apart all the time.

We've had the stroller for two years and the crib for one year (with the canopy, so cute) and haven't had a problem. In fact, we've never had a problem with ANY AG doll, clothing item, furniture or accessory belonging to dd11 or dd6----and they get lots of love and use!

My daughter has the crib and changing table. She got them about 3years ago. The crib was fine at first. I think one of the boys tried to climb in it. After that it would always fall apart if you touched it. My husband tried to fix it but the screws were stripped. I called American Girl customer service and they told me to send it back and they sent me a brand new one after one and a half years. The new crib works great and never falls apart.

We have the crib and have no problems with it. She has gotten in it a couple of times and it is very sturdy. She got it last Christmas.

Same here on the crib. The screws just never really held and we tried liquid nails and it still fell apart. My dd was not rough with it. In fact she was afraid to use it since it would fall apart from the slightest touch. The high chair on the other had has been sat in by my friends rather big little girl and is still fine.

We have the crib, the changing table and the stroller and I think they've held up great. The girls got them last year for Christmas and they are still in excellent condition even though they play with them a lot. This year one of the AG things we bought is the bitty baby storage chest. I only hope it holds us as well!

We have the crib...and it did fall apart...part of the reason is the fault of my DD who decided to try to climb in...unfortunately not only did the bottom fall out but the sides came apart...and as it broke it bent the plastic where the screws go in so it is pretty much worthless...too bad. Oh and then the mobile broke too...STINKS!!
