Bistro vs Chefs de France at night?

I've eaten at the downstairs location for lunch & its dinner menu seems more reasonable that the upstairs venue. Is there a real difference in the food?

Yes, there is a real difference in the food and the experience.
Le Bistro is a very small, romantic, take your time, room between courses type place. Wouldn't take kids.

Chefs is hustle/bustle, still very good food, definately not romantic or small.
Great for families.

Upstairs is a signature dining experience that offers excellant food. Bistro does not accept the DDP and there is no children's menu. It is an excellant dining experience

Downtairs is a regular TS that is on the DDP and does offer a children's menu

FWIW: the menu at Chefs is pretty consistent. Because it is seasonal haute cuisine, Bistro changes it menu more often, making it a new experience almost every time. The food is always different and good, one of the reasons it's one of our favorite restaurants. Enjoy.

Ditto for emphasis. If you're going as a family, Chef's will work much better. If you want an intimate experience, go to the Bistro.

Food-wise, they are both great.
