Does Universal do anything special for birthdays like Disney does with the birthday button?

There is an "I'm celebrating" button, but I can't remember seeing a birthday one. My dd just celebrated her 21st in both parks and received several happy birthdays, a couple of songs and some restaurant/resort goodies.

This is good to know. I am seriously considering celebrating my 50th birthday at Unoversal & Islands of Adventure.

Guest service have them, but ask at the Check in desk at RPR, they do keep some there too.

Disney has slacked off a lot and rarely nothing more than a cm say happy birthday when you wear a button

Days are past the time where peeps would get anything more than that

Probably due to more and more get buttons to wear for just married, first visit, anniversary, celebrating a special date, etc

We got a celebration button for our anniversary a few years ago. We were upgraded to a nicer room and got a lot of happy anniversary wishes but that was it. It was fun wearing them for the day.

I'm cool with just getting a birthday button and hopefully getting a lot of birthday wishes at the park. This is kind of silly, but since I have a mid-December birthday, birthdays were always low key at my house. I even received some of the infamous combo birthday/Christmas gifts. It will be nice to have a day where I get a little extra attention, especially since it will be my 50th.

I was at the parks last week with a birthday button and a cast member at the Simpsons restaurant brought me a free cupcake. Also when I bought ice cream from the HP place the cast member didn't charge me for it when she saw the birthday button.

I was at IOA last year on the day before my bday. I had not gotten a button, but when I was in Three Broomsticks getting lunch I ordered a beer and got carded. When the worker saw my bday was the next day on my ID she gave me a free dessert!
