My daughter with by turning 4 years old during our stay at the All Star Movie Resort. We are taking her to the Princess Lunch in Norway on her birthday. Does the resort or any of Disney do anything special if it is someones birthday? If so, do I need to bring proof?

You don't need proof. When you enter the park stop at guest relations and ask for a birthday button. She will get cool extra's during the day. I got one for my birthday. I got cards at meals with a dessert. I got a phone call from goofy (a cm stopped me and asked if I had received a special phone call that day). A couple of free pins. Lot's and lot's of happy birthdays. A magic moments card.

Don't count on the resort or restaurant doing anything special. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. People have received a wide range of responses for special occassions. You might want to think about ordering a cake, Birthday Basket, or balloons if you want to be guaranteed that she has a specail brithday treat. I just would not count on anything more than a cupcake with a candle in it at the restaurant. Hope you have a great trip. If you do a search there are a lot of threads about what people have and have not received for special occassions.

I agree with gopack. Sometimes the resort will do something and sometimes they don't. We were there for our daughter's first and second birthday. CBR didn't do anything for her first birthday but for her second, Pop Century left balloons and a picture signed by Mickey in the room while we were in the parks. I think it all depends on who checks you in and who you happen to let know that you are celebrating a birthday. Both times, we let the person who checked us in (as well as the original CM who booked our reservations) know that we were celebrating a birthday. We didn't expect anything so it was a nice suprise this last trip.

Thanks for the info on not to expect anything! I did let them know when we made the reservation and they told me of the ballon and card in the room. I was told that at every guest relations in the park they have a birthday pin also.

We celebrated dd's 5th birthday in WDW last October. We made sure it was noted when I made the ADR at Crystal palace and when we got there (and reminded the person at the front podium) our table was decorated with Mickey confetti and streamers and she got a card signed by the characters.

Tracy :)

Our DD turned 4 last year at Disney. The Contemporary sent her ballons and an autographed picture of Minnie Mouse. We ate breakfast at the Castle, and the table was decorated with streamers and mickey shaped confetti. A lot of the princesses wrote "Happy Birthday" in her autograph book. We ate dinner at Chef Mickeys, and Mickey brought her a cupcake. She also had a birthday place mat at the table. While going on the boat ride at Epcot, she was stopped and they let Goofy "call" her and wish her a happy birthday. They also gave her a magical moment certificate. Also in Epcot, she was wished happy in many languages and was given a special certificate with a cute handwritten poem in Canada. :yay:
