Thought this would be an interesting budget thread.

Here are some great birthday freebies available:

Barnes & Noble new kids club: free cupcake or large cookie on your birthday and 30% off any kids book or game when you sign up.

Not Your Average Joes (restaurant in Massachusetts and 1 in Virginia): free dinner entree and dessert when you join their email club. (Coupon good for 2 weeks around birthday time.)

Baskin Robbins kids club: free cone on your birthday and half birthday

DSW Shoes: $5 coupon good for a month

Koh'ls: $10 coupon good for a month

And my favorite:

Vera Bradley: $20 off any purchase of $20! You can't beat free VB! You have to sign up at a local store. (Not sure about the outlets.) When you sign up, you also receive a sign up bonus.

Yesterday was my birthday

Some of the freebies I got:

Carribou coffee---if you sign up for the mailing list you'll get a coupon for a free drink (any type, any size--I got a large smoothie!) on your birthday

Ben & Jerry's sent me a coupon for a free cone (we don't have one close enough so I havent' got it yet

Buca de Beppo sent me a coupon for a free appetizer

Red Robin gives you a free burger on your birthday when you sign up for their club!

Sephora (Beauty Insider club)--for the next two weeks, if I go in their store they will give me a free bottle of philosophy vanilla birthday cake shower gel (the little travel size, I assume!)

My birthday was June 1st and Victoria's Secret emailed me a coupon for $10 off any purchase.

Steak n Shake sent a coupon for a free hamburger and fries.

My daughter got a coupon for a free milkshake from Steak n Shake.

I do not know why we got different coupons.
