Biltmore Estate---the Inn

I live too close to stay there, but everything I've heard has been glowing. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there for a special event or something (like maybe an anniversary or whatever).

I would also consider the Grove Park Inn, however, because I tend to appreciate the history of places like that. They also have a brand new spa that is amazing.

I would second the Grove Park. If you're going to be in that area, and want the very best, you need to do the Grove Park. And get a package that includes dinner and breakfast, they are great! And the spa if you can...

Three weeks ago this weekend, I stayed at the Biltmore Inn with my mom for 3 nights. It is fabulous! We did a package that included length of stay entrance tickets to the house, breakfast buffet daily, our choice of one "Behind the Scenes" tour, and all transportation around the estate. The breakfast ran until 11 a.m., so we ate late, did our things in the afternoon and had dinner either at the hotel or the winery. The whole place is amazing, the views spectacular. Everything is very low key and elegant. My mom is 85 and kinda slow moving, so staying there was perfect for us since the shuttle would take us right up to the door of everywhere instead of me having to park and walk with her, etc. I have also heard good things about the Grove Park Inn, and I might like to try it some time when I can stay longer and see more of the Asheville area, but for our three day trip, staying at the Inn was perfect.
