Biggest park peeves?

My biggest park peeve is that most of the bathrooms have only one changing table. AND, every time my toddler has had a poop explosion threatening to ruin her last clean outfit of the day, that table is occupied by a mom who feels the need to turn diaper changing into a game of peekaboo and cuddles.. Seriously?! There's 5 of us waiting in line to change stinkers, get your kid swaddled back up and off the dang table so the rest of us can process through the assembly line.

I've seen mom's take 5+ minutes to change a pee'd diaper. Really?! That's a 15 second job woman, move it along. You can cuddle precious darling back out on one of the benches, you know, away from the stench of 20 poops..

Yeah, that's really my only major pet peeve.. lol

The layout of DHS. I can't wrap my head around that park at all. There seems to be no spoke & wheel, no areas of cohesion. I get so confused when I am on Streets of America & run smack into Tatoine Traders, when I thought I was going to end up somewhere else.

Hahahaha.......I feel the same way. I back track a lot a HS.

The tour groups with the flags that plant themselves all over in the most appropriate places such as across the steps going towards MuppetVision and Pizza Planet or inside the doors for Nemo and Friends. They also make personal space irrelevant and are loud when they chant all together. I was stuck on one of the Friendship boats going to HS once and had to listen to chanting and stomping the whole way!

Yepp i agree with this one

I just have a problem with big groups going in that line. Or those that don't understand that they can't ride together when they get into that line. It makes it a huge wait for actual single riders. I waited 30 minutes or more multiple times on RnR this last trip because so many groups were taking advantage of the system.

heh...a CM at RSR at DL had a grand time with a young woman who was demanding to be able to ride with her partner. They were in the single rider line and the girl just could not accept the fact that they would be separated. It was a pleasure watching the CM exhibit so much patience (on the outside) :)

I have to say that when I was the one pushing the stroller that it would astound me how many people would just step in front of me though. I would be walking in a straight line and someone would cut around me (and I do not walk slow) and then step right in front of the stroller requiring me to stop short so I didn't hit them. It was if they didn't see the stroller in front of me with a child in it at all.
My husband didn't believe me till he was pushing it one day. We were coming from Adventureland to the castle. We got to the castle and I looked behind me to find he was a good 20 feet back. What happened? All these people kept cutting in front of him and he got separated from me. Really? So they didn't seem to notice the stroller when you were pushing it either?

Now that our kids are older and don't need the stroller, we still take it on longer day trips to the parks to hold snacks and drinks. Well, I've gotten SO tired of watching out for people who don't watch where they're going that I don't try and stop from running into them when they cut in front of me.

The looks I get...heh.

"Well, watch where you're going."

"You can't see this? What if this stroller had been a toddler?"

"Walk much?"

Our biggest pet peeve is when people stop where everyone is walking.

Even better are the ones who stop at the end of an escalator... When they stop on the sidewalk you can go around them, or at least stop and not run in to the back of them. But the escalator just keeps feeding people into the traffic jam...

I've seen this a few times at The Land...

I have a few. They revolve around crowds at parades. If I have been standing for at least an hour to get a good spot to view the parade in front of the castle, do not shove your way in front of me and steal my spot 5 minutes before the parade. Literally this family with 4 kids (none of them who even needed a stroller) tried to push and shove their way into the that white-taped viewing area and couldn't fit. When a CM politely told them they needed to be inside the tape to leave room for traffic we heard the Dad say, "use the stroller" she rammed into me, I fell into my DH and while both of us are trying to regain our footing, this family squishes into our spot! Luckily, a family who we had sort of bonded with over the wait yelled at them to move and give us our spots back! The other is people who you hear speaking PERFECT English and when a CM or someone else asks them to please move or scoot over they ramble something off at you in a foreign language followed by "No understand English!" Really?

My pet peeve is people making out in the hot tubs in the pool areas. There is a time and place for everything. In the afternoon, in the pool area with children present is not the time or place for this. Especially when you have a private place to make out inside. (We stay at DVC resorts, and if you stay in a 1 BR unit, you have a jacuzzi to make out in right in your own room.)

When someone pukes their magic and does not alert a CM. Then people walk through it. I understand if you are by yourself or just a parent and child but I have seen families of 5 or groups with more than 1 adult and they just keep walking.

When I park my stroller in the correct area, right in line, I hate when I come out and it is moved. If I am illegally parked, you may move it but not if I park it correctly.

The problem, though, is that others pull their strollers out after you've parked yours. The CMs are constantly moving and adjusting strollers to keep the area occupied more organized.

And another pet peeve: I've always wanted to try the crepes in Epcot, but for some reason I've never managed it! Either I forget or the cart is closed. This has happened during 3 trips with at least 8 separate days at Epcot.

This is so absolutely me. Crepes were my favorite treat in Paris and I've always wanted to try the ones at Epcot. And I NEVER remember. Perhaps I need to tattoo it on my husband's forehead. Glad I'm not the only one with crepenesia. I may need to lunch tomorrow at Crepes-a-go-go to get my fix now.

I understand. I just hate trying to find my stroller.

Single rider lines: or rather those who abuse them and aren't actually single riders therefore making the line a waste for actual single riders.

Not possible to "abuse" the single rider line as the CM working there knows what a single rider is and acts accordingly.

wait whats wrong with single riders lines?? they are there to fill empty seats on rides like test track. it doesnt matter if they are a couple or not they are still just willing to ride alone rather then waiting in a long ride to be able to sit next to their friend

Exactly. We get in the single rider lines all the time because we don't care who we sit next to.

Regardless of what they think, they will not be allowed to ride together. I agree that taking the time to explain to people would be a time waster, but groups getting in the single rider line is a personal choice not "taking advantage of the system."

Single rider lines are not reserved for those who are alone in the park, but rather those who are willing to ride with strangers. It is used to fill empty seats and speed up the stand-by line.

I will continue to utilize single rider lines until Disney makes it a rule that you have to be complete strangers with everyone else in the line.

Probably people who ignore the fact that their kid is carrying on and screaming at the top of their lungs while in lines, on the bus etc.

My biggest pet peeve isn't on Disney property, It's at Orlando International Airport. People call the tram that goes from the gates to the main building the Monorail. It hurts when they say it. They act like they're already in Disney World. NO. JUST... NO. It is not the monorail, it is a tram. I hope some of you know what I'm talking about.

Please, do not ever call the tram the Monorail. Please. I just might punch you in the face.

Well your going to hope your not around my family then when at the airport about to hop on the "monorail" .........
As soon as my boys get off the plane they are jumping up and down with excitement shouting out how they are about to get on their 1st ride of the trip the MONORAIL :)
We would not class it as a tram to us it's nothing like a tram? It is however exactly like a monorail!

The tram is the first 'ride' when we get to Orlando as far as my kids are concerned :-p
