Ohh, I see what you're talking about now, lol! I don't have an iPhone, so I don't have a box to check...bummer :(

I think I may have figured out the Droid way to do it though! Thanks Buffy! :)

Ah ok!!! I have the iPhone.
haven't seen the droid app yet, but I know lots of people have it.

I hope you figure it out!

Kristina, that is so funny about going house hunting. At least as Disney fans, we know what we want!

Independence from weight will be a huge victory for me. It will mean that I have learned how to eat to live and not live to eat. It will symbolize what I can accomplish and how I can do it. I won't feel awkward going clothes shopping and going to the pool and going out to eat. It will feel so good to reach that goal. Right now, I'm over halfway there and getting closer by the day!

**************
I'm posting now from the new app on my phone. So far, its not bad, but I don't think I can multi-quote. Either that or I can and I haven't figured it out yet :-p.

Your independence sounds great. I love how you said, "I will have learned how to eat to live, and not live to eat." Great work on already being 1/2 way to your goal!

QOTD--hmmm, I don't really feel independent from my weight. I do love it that clothes shopping is much easier. I love it that I am very active, and if I don't do something it's cause I choose not to, not because I think I am too heavy or I am embarrassed. I love it that I am healthy and that when I go to the doctor my weight is a non-issue. I love it that I can almost keep up with my 20something yo son and his friends.;) (Ok, not really but we have fun hanging out with them until we poop out around 11:00 and go to bed.)

BUT, it is a lifelong journey that I still think about every single day. Every day. I am conscious when I am making bad choices, and I can tell at the size I am now if I put on even a couple of pounds. Currently I am up. I don't beat myself up like I used to. And I am not going to throw in the towel and go on a month long binge, but it is still, after almost two years of mostly maintaining, a little scary to me at times. I do not EVER want to go back to where i was before. But I know that without diligence and work that it could happen.

This is not to say that I go around worrying about it all the time, but I am mindful. Mindful of the fact that I ate way too many chips today, and I am going to have to do a double workout tomorrow to make up for it. Mindful that it is a lifelong journey, and while I don't have to be perfect, I cannot just say, ok I'm thin now, I'm done.

Maintaining has made me more confident, but I do still think about how easy it would be to be that old person again.

Anyhow, didn't mean to be a downer. It really is a wonderful feeling to not have to worry all the time. And to feel good when I look in the mirror.:goodvibes

Rose, I understand exactly how you feel. When I was a teenager, I could eat whatever I wanted and NEVER, ever gained an ounce. I was actually too thin ... and this was not due to my eating habits. This was probably true freedom, but I was SO unhealthy with the way I ate.

Then age and children caught up with me. Now if I look at something it goes onto my waist. I am close to my goal, but I hover around this weight. Since I have been coaching, I have seen movement on the scale this week. But, it has also been to a lot of exercise and watching my food intake. When I reach my goal, I will have freedom that I will feel better and like the way I look and feel. But I anticipate that I will never be free like I was at a teenager. But a lot of great things come with age and learning to live a healthy lifestyle is one of them for me.

Hoping everyone had a wonderful, safe and happy 4th of July!

Physical Exercise is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. It is performed for various reasons including strengthening muscles and the cardiovascular system, honing athletic skills, weight loss or maintenance, as well as for the purpose of enjoyment. Frequent and regular physical exercise boosts the immune system, and helps prevent the "diseases of affluence" such as heart disease, cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes and obesity.[1][2] It also improves mental health, helps prevent depression, helps to promote or maintain positive self esteem, and can even augment an individual's sex appeal or body image, which is also found to be linked with higher levels of self esteem.[3] Childhood obesity is a growing global concern[4] and physical exercise may help decrease some of the effects of childhood and adult obesity. Health care providers often call exercise the "miracle" or "wonder" drug—alluding to the wide variety of proven benefits that it provides.[5][6]

QOTD (July5): In the above definition, physical exercise is referred to as a “wonder drug”. What type of exercise have you tried? What is your favorite type of exercise and what is your least favorite?

I am finding I really enjoy running. Now, don't get me wrong, as I am running everyday, I am playing a mind game with myself saying ... "you can go one more time around the track, don't whimp out!". But I love how it makes me feel after I have run, even later in the day.

I also enjoy yoga, Jazzercise, and hiking. However, I am not a fan of team or competitive sports. I do not like soccer and detest baseball, softball. I have really poor hand/eye coordination and can't hit a ball if it would save my life. I also stink at golf ... but, I would like to learn how to play this since my husband loves it.

Good Thursday morning everyone.

I hope everyone had a great 4th. It was pretty quiet here yesterday. Dh and I finished stripping the dinning room of wall paper. NOw the rest of the job is his. (I thought the paper was his job but I got dragged into it on Tuesday). We just barbqued some burgers for dinner and then watched the fireworks from our from porch. I also got to test out my new camera with the fireworks. I had to make sure that they worked before we left for DW next month.

This morning I have a dr appointment to check my bp. NOthing serious just quick in and out. I got up at 4:30 this morning to make sure that I got my pills in me so that they are working well by 8:10.

My favorite exercise is yoga. I love how it makes me feel powerful.

I hate running. I know a lot of people here love it but I hate it. Maybe because of having two bad ankles and a bad knee has something to do with it.

Congrats to all the losers this week. I couldn't believe that I am in the top 10 again. Thanks everyone for all the support that everyone gives.

Off to get some laundry in.

Have a happy and healthy day.

Let's see. I run, walk, ride bikes, roller skate, do Wii with the kids, play tennis with DS11.
I like all of those.

Least favorite, I'm not really sure. Probably sporty stuff like Basketball, I'm not very good at it.

I like to walk. I can turn up my ipod and get on the tread mill and get in the zone.

Good Morning ::MickeyMo

Whoa! Okay 2 tsps of Robitussin with Coedine knocked my butt out. Granted it was like 330 in the morning when I finally fell asleep (we're nightowls and we're watching DVR'ed Deadliest Catch). The most shocking though is its 930 and I'm awake after only 6 hours of sleep. HOLY MOLY!

I spent some time last night figuring out what I wanted to wear Tuesday afternoon/night. Alan and I are celebrating our 4 year anniversary. We have dinner reservations at O'hanas. I also talked about getting a room somewhere at Disney. I booked at the Hilton on Disney property. I've never stayed there before and hell who can beat FREE? God, I love my Chase reward debit card. :)

I'm going this weekend and getting at minimum my eyebrows waxed and a pedicure. I'm still undecided on a hair cut.

Since I'm up early I'm going to take a tsp of cough syrup, eat some breakfast, take my meds, and relax a bit. I'm hoping if I'm feeling well around 1pmish I may get a mile in on the treadmill. Nothing drastic but its better then nothing. I've not worked out since Wednesday of last week. I also need to call that flipping hematologist office who has YET to get back to me, GRRR...

Everyone have a great OP day!

If its poor weather: Walking on my treadmill or just doing some strength training with dumb bells

Good weather: swimming

Your list tires me out. Congrats on having a 16 year old and good luck with the lyme check!

I like to walk. I can turn up my ipod and get on the tread mill and get in the zone.

I zone out when I am walking sometimes too. I listen to books on tape and sometimes I will walk a little more just so I can hear what happens next.

I was swimming yesterday at my mom's picnic (my cousin next door has a pool). The pool felt like bath water!

It will mean that I have learned how to eat to live and not live to eat.

You might want to make a plan of doing something on a consistent basis. (Just gentle coaching. :) )Even if it is only one day a week. You would be surprised how this can help with dieting, but also just feeling good.

Not sure if you know about My Fitness Pal (you might already belong). I love it for tracking my food. There are a few of us on it and help each other out. I found the site on this thread when I started the BL challenge in January.

My vacation is coming up in a little more than a week:beach:, so I went and did a little clothes shopping today. I tried on some clothes from the size I normally go to ... and ... they were too big! I didn't have enough time to go back and look more in the next size, but what a great feeling!

Healthy Habits Week 6: WDW Resorts Part 2

This we are going resort hopping at the Deluxe Resorts.

1. The Contemporary: It is a monarail resort and home to Chef Mickey, The Wave, Contempo Cafe, and California Grill. Best of all? After you indulge in the wonderful food offered here, there is a walking path back to the Magic Kingdom. Stick to your exercise plan to earn 1 point.

2. The Polynesian: I don't drink alcohol, but I'm guessing you should follow a Lapu Lapu with at least as much water! Drink 64 oz. or more of water on 6/7 days. In the spirit of Kona coffee, you can count up to 16 oz. of coffee or tea toward your water total this week.

3. The Beach Club and the Yacht Club: I would absolutely love to live in one of these resorts! Why? Stormalong Bay! I could spend hours just looking at it. I can only imgine the calorie burn I'd get from swimming in it. Well, since I don't have a water park in my back yard, I better stick to counting calories. Stick to your weight loss/maintenance plan on 6/7 days this week to earn 1 point.

4. The Grand Floridian: Wouldn't it be wonderful to dine at Victoria & Albert's or to have High Tea? I would love to meet the Mad Hatter and the Wicked Stepsisters! Why? It's fun! On 3/7 days, do something for you. It can be fun, relaxing, short, long, etc., but it has to be something you chose to do.

5. Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge: Can you say theming? If it wasn't 90+ degrees and so humid, I could have fallen asleep under the beautiful trees at the Wilderness Lodge and been in vacation heaven. Experience your surroundings. It does not have to be with nature, but you have to be present. (1 time for 1 point) Yoga and medititation are great choices.

6. The Boardwalk: I don't know much about this resort, other than that it is on Disney's Boardwalk. However, I do know that as with most general boardwalks, there are shopping opportunities. But, we are going Deluxe and have already spent our budget on our resort room. Alas! There is a solution! The PIN! Use at least 1 coupon this week when you do your grocery shopping.

Please feel free to ask any questions! Have a great week!

(I loved this one so much that I had to reuse it from the last challenge.)

My favorite exercise classes right now are Werq (it's an aerobic dance class set to pop, hip hop, and rock songs), Zumba, Hip Hop Hustle (another aerobic dance class), Ripped (stands for Resistance, Interval, Plyometrics, Power, Endurance, and Diet..which is just a reminder to go home and eat healthy), and Strong (a weight-lifting class). I also enjoy Spinning but it hasn't fit in my schedule lately. I feel like I work harder in class and I really enjoy the variety and challenge. I personally don't enjoy Yoga or Pilates. I guess I need the loud music to get motivated :rotfl2:

I will be healthier, have more self-confidence, and feel better. Shop where I want, and look good in most anything. As I lose, I am feeling this way, I imagine goal will make me feel all the more that way! Hope to find out sometime near Valentine's Day!

I've tried walking, running, zumba, a class called RIPPED (resistance, intervals, power, plyometrics, endurance & diet), swimming, and years ago I did all the things required in PE. When I'm out of shape, I HATE exercise because it hurts; however, sticking with it this time, I'm loving it because I feel so GOOD afterward!
