Biggest Loser show chit-chat

It was definitely interesting to see the Black Team at home!

I think Shay has spent so much time talking about her past and her mother (and they haven't included anything she might have said about her husband and stepkids) that I also had the impression that she was on her own.

I didn't think about Dina and her husband when I was watching that follow up segment, but now that you mention it, it is strange he didn't even get a mention. She was really revolted by what he was eating in the restaurant and his attitude about it. It will be interesting to see her segment in the finale.

I think they ultimately voted Dina off because she has less to lose - it's foolish to vote off your larger guys this early in the game. Even though Daniel hasn't really been delivering lately. Hopefully he'll get himself straightened out with Jillian's help. Cause obviously there's more going on there.

I also noticed that with Liz and Tracey getting very chummy - I wonder if that's still Liz getting situated for her revenge or if she's getting over her initial anger at being separated from her partner. I still think that was a fairly boneheaded move of Tracy. Why would you set out to make everyone in the house want to get rid of you??? She sure has a crazy gleam in her eye.

Can't wait for tomorrow's episode!!

I wonder if Dina's DH is in the military. She seemed like she might have been in the military, too, from the way she spoke. I would be furious with my DH if I'd been literally busting my buns on the ranch for weeks and I came home to find that things were status quo. :headache:

Poor Shay has seen herself as a victim all her life so it is hard to get out of that mindset even if you probably do have a family who supports you, KWIM?

Not sure what is going on with the whole Liz/Tracey thing. I think that they are encouraging Liz to do the whole southern woman gets even thing but really it comes down to you can't really trust her because she'll say one thing to your face and another to someone else. I identified with Liz because we are the same age -- but I have a 5th grader instead of grandkids.

DS was dancing around the house last night singing "get rid of Tracey!" but we won't get to watch until tonight to find out. I was hoping to find out who went home.

It was Abby. Very sad, but she seems like a new woman. I think Daniel has had one chance too many. I don't mean to be harsh, but he needs to get with the program or go home, and stop sending people home who are getting it.

Oooh! Thanks for telling me. Now I can get some work done today. :rotfl:

I'm surprised because I thought it would be quite awhile before Abby ended up being sent home. Did Daniel not lose weight again? I hope that he does get his act together and get in and start moving in the right direction and make the most of this opportunity that he's been given again.

Did Rudy lose enough to make 100 lbs? I am getting to where I am hoping that he will be the Biggest Loser. He is a nice guy, supportive to people and just does what he is supposed to without a lot of drama.

Abby volunteered to go home so the others could stay. Very touching, but not necessarily fair. Daniel did lose...I believe it was a whopping 5 lbs. They obviously wanted to send Danny home, but they couldn't because he was immune, having the highest percentage of weight loss. He'd better keep doing that -- Shay, Daniel and Amanda would vote him out in a heartbeat to keep their buddies there, even though he clearly is an asset to the team.

Rudy lost 14 and got to the 101 mark. Dane was there to see him do it.

Abby's lost a total of 80 lbs to date. She looks wonderful.

I am looking forward to Jillian's new show. I could not have her move in with us, that would be a little too much reality for me...

 Yes, I agree although I read that she is going to be "kinder and gentler" on her show because she thinks she is getting too typecast. http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=438781

I was thinking about nominating my neighbor and her daughter because they haven't found what is going to work for them yet but I am afraid they would be mad at me. :rotfl:

Interesting show. It seems like Abby was ready to go home and get on with her life. She looked great!

I feel like they must be egging Liz on to act like the angry southern woman because Tracey just hasn't been as crazy as she was.

I'm getting to feel sorry for Daniel because he's got this second chance and it doesn't seem to be working for him. It might just be too much pressure for a 20 something guy. :confused3

Our DVR always cuts off the end so I didn't get to see the preview -- drat!

the preview at the end was interesting. they are going to Washington DC and to the White House. They show Tracey getting on the scale and she made a comment "All my decisions are coming back to Haunt Me". It is going to be interesting.

Thanks for telling me what happened! :goodvibes

I know it's wrong, but I'm just dying for Tracey to have a bad week on the scale. I'm sure their dusting off my seat in one of Dante's circles as I write this....

Maria :upsidedow

I also never see the preview, so thanks for the info! It sounds like it will be an interesting week!

It does seem like Tracey is sort of gliding through easily so far. But what goes around comes around. Except in the case of Helen who threw her daughter under the bus and went on to win the whole thing last season....but nevermind.
Her daughter isn't holding a grudge, so I really should not either!

Man, what an episode it was this week. Talk about a tear-jerker. Jillian really dove in this week. And to see how much Abby means to Shay - so wonderful. I found an article about Abby here if anyone is interested. It sounds like she's really on target.

I do think something is eating at Daniel and we don't yet know what it is. He had had more second chances, but still he's not performing the way Jillian expects he should be able to. Remember how Mike was sort of stagnating last season until Bob had that talk with him and he HAD to step up to the plate?

What Amanda was saying about being uncomfortable with her new role as one of the smaller, fitter people....she's really onto something there, I think. It's an adjustment when your body changes.

Can't wait to see what happens next!

I watched most of last night's episode. I always miss the beginning getting the kids to bed.

I was happy to see Tracy go home, but she had grown on me. I'm glad she seems much happier now.

The one-on-one chat between Bob & Amanda was just annoying to me. They tried to sell it as being a nice chat with him helping her because they connect, but then all they showed was him suggesting she eat gum :confused3 I realize they have to deal with endorsements, but I just found that one annoying.

I was glad to see that Tracey went home, that girl is a bit off if you ask me. I am not too crazy about Liz either, but Tracey was just wacky.

The "commercial" for the gum was annoying I agree. And I don't get Amanda either, why she is not losing much weight. Last nights 7 pounds was the most she has lost in one week EVER. How is she still there??

Glad to see Daniel finally had a good week. Hopefully he can keep it up!

And did Ali Vincent sell her soul to Biggest Loser?? Seems like every thing they are trying to push/sell she is telling us about.

I saw Abby on E News last night and she looks awesome.

She has lost even more weight than the last time we saw her. She made the comment about food no longer being a comfort but fuel and that family and freinds are now her comfort.

Maybe it was the ranch that made Tracey so crazy? :confused3 I agree that it shouldn't have been a mystery that she had four kids -- I thought that it was interesting when one of her daughters said "she's totally different but she is still my Mom." Maybe she was crazy at home too. Anyway, I am glad that she seems happier now.

I wonder if true love is what is inspiring Daniel now. I would not have noticed the looks on my own but did after last night's episode. On the CB BL chat thread someone posted pics of Daniel and Rebecca running in a marathon this week-end.

I'm still rooting for Rudy to be the Biggest Loser.

I noticed all the goofy looks from Rebecca this week too - my goodness! Are those two an item now?

I am not going to miss having Tracy on the show - well, maybe I am a little. She was certainly a wild card! It was nice to see her sort of reconciled with Jillian before she went home. Though that part about "Jillian has the biggest heart" crazy as she looked, I thought she was going to say something about planning to eat it for lunch, or something. Yeesh - that girl's eyes pop out of her head when she gets excited!

I agree with you, Shannon - that was the cheesiest product placement ever. I could not believe it when they were talking along and then BAM he whips out a pack of gum! I am starting to question the appropriateness of Bob's relationship with Amanda. It seems a little over the top. Probably nothing, but they are really showcasing it. I'm pretty sure the things that have kept her around so far are the even worse losses by others plus her connections with her teammates, plus the fact that she doesn't appear to be much of a threat. Slow loser. Small to start with.

I was so happy for Shay getting under 400 - we're wondering if she might get to come back next season. There's no way she'll be down to a healthy weight by the end of this one, since she just had SO far to go.

Looking forward to next week! Did anyone catch the preview? I'd love to hear about it. :)

Ok, I am going to have to watch closer next week. I would not have pictured Rebecca and Daniel together.

The gum was insulting. Honestly, do they believe most of the viewers are morons? Very poorly done.

I always miss the previews because my Tivo changes the channel. I think I read something in tv guide about 2 eliminations -- but that could be the following week or DWTS...

Maria :upsidedow

If I remember, there are going to be two eliminations next week. Should be interesting.

Rebecca and Daniel an item??? Didn't see that one coming from a mile away, but hey.

I never picked up on anything between Rebecca and Daniel, but I guess that's what happens when I am listening to the show more than watching it
:lmao:

I was happy for Shay to have some success and get under 400.
Instead of her coming back next season, I think it would be great for them to do regular visits to her, and show how she keeps going on her own with some coaching.

Next week looks interesting with 2 getting eliminated. As soon as I heard it, I thought okay, now that balances out the week where nobody left.

Oh man, what a show tonight. That whole red line business was harsh for sure. How about that business at the end about Daniel having a girlfriend he is going to introduce to America at the finale? I suspect we may have already met her. ;-) At least Bob will be happy next week. Jill is going to be livid.
