- my policeman friend was a Marine when we were dating oh so many years ago so I have a soft spot for them, which is probably also why it was so easy for Lindsay to talk me into running the MCM10k! Although, I can honestly say I don't want to have them yelling at me during a workout (or any other time, really)! But I won't mind if one has to catch me when I pass out at the race

- just means I'll have to wait 'til next week. I cried pretty much the whole way through as per usual. It is definitely sad, somewhat inspiring I guess. But the one thing that always gets me about the beginning of the season is that these people put so much hope in being on the show. At my heaviest a few years ago I was 252 pounds - it never occurred to me that the only way I could begin this journey was to be on a television show
? If you want to lose weight so badly, just start making changes, don't wait around for an opportunity to be on a tv show - kwim? Granted, it has taken me a few years (of on and off effort) to lose over 50 pounds and I'm not at my goal weight yet, and on the show they could lose that much in a few weeks. But still, "I didn't make BL so I'm just going to keep doing the same thing until I can try out again" isn't the same as "I want to lose this weight and I'll do anything to do it". There were a few ladies featured (not possible contestants, just people in the crowds) and their stories were along the lines of "the show inspired me to lose weight and I did it and I want to show others it can be done". Those are the people who were inspirational to me.

! Good luck this weekend!
OMG... that had me crying and clutching my heart!! As a Mom I was CRUSHED by that!! That woman made it on the show.... how could she NOT... I mean..... her DD was right there as a reminder that she was (without meaning to) failing her kids!!
Scary thought!
Also, those who didn't make it may have a chance to get on the ranch at some point, just another twist those evil minds at NBC come up with.
If they were going to do it that way, some of the challenges should have been mental instead of physical. Mental is much harder anyway, I think.
Maybe the theory is that when you are that out of shape, the physical is tougher...

Yes, there was an elimination.I totally missed the end of the show. DId anyone get voted off?
Good show, but Bob and Jillian (especially) seemed really mean this week!
