Terry -
I'm glad I got moving!! I had to take pictures in the neighborhood so I walked instead of drove around (gasp! what a concept - good for me, my dogs and the enviroment!) and then worked out. Now I'm going to email the pics to our web guru and then hop on the treadmill for 20 minutes.
We lived in Ballwin, West county. I loved it there!! I found it to be very family friendly. I loved all the parks and trails as well as the school system and the zoo and science center. We made some good friends, although none were orignally from SL. DH took a while to adjust though.
I feel your pain about the weight gain...I have to have cancer scans every other year and used to have to go off my meds for them for 6 weeks...basically no metabolism for the last 2 weeks and I gained 10 - 15 pounds during those 2 weeks and I thought THAT was tough...
but it's definitely better than the alternative! What used to always get me though was that I wasn't even eating anything to cause it - no pizza, chips, and it still went up. Fortunately for me it's "used to" because the wonderful researchers at a drug company have developed some artifical stuff I can take so I don't have to go off my meds. Anyway back to you...so has your body adjusted to your meds now and how does this impact your weight loss? (BTW are you going to Barnes?)
bcvprincesses - awesome progress!! 17 pounds in 5 weeks is fabulous! I have found it's easy to get stuck in the "thryoid" issue. Yes it can be harder to lose weight but it's not impossible, we just have to be monitor our points/calories etc more carefully. And you're proof of that!
