biggest loser couples

This season of sacrifices makes me long for seasons full of back-stabbing :upsidedow. I feel for Olivia and her infertility BUT her original weight of 269 probably was not the cause and if it was then her "current" weight of 172 would probably NOT hold her back. Moses should have stayed, IMO. He needed to be there WAY more than Olivia does.

BTW, the NY Times interviewed Jillian last week:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/13/magazine/mag-13Talk-t.html?_r=3&ref=nutrition

One thing I really disliked about Jillian was her apparent phobia of becoming pregnant. On one hand it made her more "human" that she had fears surrounding her body the same as the BL contestants. OTOH, I considered them to be totally irrational. In that interview we learn that she ALSO has a medical condition that would prevent her from becoming pregnant and that she plans to adopt. That makes me feel better about her.

Not a regular poster to the thread, but I missed it this week and wanted the gist.

This is really interesting about jillian. I kind of felt the same about her. Even though it was fully within her right. Thanks for sharing.

I wonder who walks off next week...maybe allison?

When are they going to do makeovers

What is with Hannah and Olivia, I don't get it... How is it possible that neither of them realize or admit that they are a few pounds away from a realistic goal and yet they still "need" to be there.

I feel bad for Ken, he should have stayed.

It was the Olivia show tonight. I wish her and her sister would go home. She kept saying she can't go home she won't make it alone. How much more does she think she can go.

All the girls don't have to much further to go.

Make over week should be soon , I would think.

Maybe they "need" the money?;)

I would like to know what they are putting on these women under those tank-tops??? They looked so "squeezed-in", like they can hardly breathe. I also noticed a similar look when I went to the BL Myrtle Beach 5K and met a few former contestants who were wearing their BL gear.

Hannah and Olivia...blech. We mute the tv everytime they talk. The scenes of NZ were beautiful wo their babbling. Kailee annoys me too for some reason but not as much as the sisters.

Did anyone else get the sense that we didn't hear all of Ken's story? Or did I miss something in past weeks? They talked alot about his opening up and I don't remember them showing him much.

I'm still rooting for Rulon or Austin.

and I think Jillian walks off next week...

*********** I thought I read they wear a lot of spanx.

I thought it was funny when Olivia said it took him a long time to open up to people at the beginning. But I thought they said it was a pastor....that doesn't make sense at all. :confused3

Irene is really skinny now too but she doesn't bother me as much as those other girls.

I too hope Rulon or Austin can lose big numbers and get rid of those two. This year the guys have not been pulling big numbers at all and they have lots to lose yet wonder why?

Irene looked really disproportionate last night! I kept staring at her thinking she looks really weird. It must be the tight spanx ;)

This is a weird question but has anyhthing been mentioned about Rulon's toes? A friend of my DH's was over last night while we were watching and he asked about Rulon's toes. I asked him what he meant and he said they were doing some kind of hike at Rulon's parents house in WY and they had to go through a freezing river and Rulon got frostbite on his toes. :confused3

Not sure why we have to watch numerous bungee jumps this year. It reminds me of this past season of The Bachelor where all the ladies had to "face their fears" in order to be accepted by Brad .

The sisters are on my nerves too. I was hoping one of them would go last night.

I havent heard them saw anything but he did lose one... Rulon has had some crazy things happen to him in life:

When Gardner was in elementary school, he was injured during a class show-and-tell, when he was punctured in his abdomen with an arrow.[5]

Rulon had a daughter who died in December 1990, after a car accident with his first wife Sheri.

In 2002, Gardner went snowmobiling with some friends in the mountains surrounding Star Valley, Wyoming. At one point, he became separated from the group. During his efforts to regain his composure and regroup, he fell into the freezing Salt River with his snowmobile. Unable to move any further, Gardner decided to build a shelter and wait for a rescue team. He remained stranded for the next 18 hours. After several hours in his makeshift shelter, he stopped shivering, which led him to believe that he was dying. When he was eventually rescued, he was experiencing hypothermia and severe frostbite. Due to the physical damage, a saw had to be used to remove his boots. The harrowing experience cost Gardner the middle toe on his right foot, which he keeps in formaldehyde in a jar in his refrigerator, to remind him of his mortality.[8][9]

On 25 February 2007, Gardner and two other men survived a crash when a spent the night without shelter. None of the three sustained life-threatening light aircraft he was traveling in crashed into Lake Powell, Utah. The men swam more than one hour in 44 °F (7 °C) water to reach shore, and then injuries.

He has also been married 4 times

wow. No wonder he didn't want to go bungee jumping. He probably thought the cord would break and he'd fall into more freezing water. Sounds like he's been through a lot.

I have seen the previews of BL for next week, they say someone walks away, any guess who that is?
