Has anyone tried it yet? I just bought it today and I have not even opened it, but I am going to start it tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it and if so, how is it working for you?

I'm also wondering... I've been wanting to try it but want to know if its worth it

I'll let you know what I think about it in a little while. We are going to open it and give it a try in a few minutes. :thumbsup2

I am still wondering if anyone else has had any success with it.

I have it. I enjoy it a lot!! The exercises really get you sweating right away. When you first start up they take you through a serious of exercises to see what would be the best place for you to start (I think it goes beginner, easy, challenging, hard and extreme). You deal pretty much with Bob when you start off, but once you set up a profile you can choose who you want to train with; Jillian, Bob or both. I chose both to take advantage of both. Jillian does not do the amount of yelling she does on the show. I read something by her saying that she didn't have anything to do with this video game, but she yells in her own game (I was tempted to buy it but the reviews were awful!!). You weight in once a week and the challenges are pretty fun. Sometimes it is hard for the remote to pick up with the sensor on some exercises, which can be especially annoying when you are doing the exercise correctly but the machine thinks differently. All in all I really enjoy it a lot. I've been using it for about a week and I already see a difference in my tone and energy level.
I definitely recommend it!!:thumbsup2

Great I'll have to pick it up. Do you need anything with it? Resistance bands or a yoga ball or anything?

I saw that amazon sold a bundle with the ball and cook book so that's why I was wondering if you needed it or not cause I don't have one.

Thanks

I love your review! It's spot on for sure. I opened it and gave it a try and I really like it. I went through the setting up process where you have to measure your body and all of that. I went through some kind of test that started as beginner, then moderate I believe and I stopped there. So I set it up to begin at moderate for me. Then I did another 20 minute work out and I really liked it. Like you said, it will have you sweating, but I never felt over worked or anything. It was good.

I also see what you are talking about with the remote not picking up right, but I think once I get totally comfortable with it, that should get better. All in all I am very happy with it. :thumbsup2

My 18 YO DD is going to start it tomorrow and we are going to challenge each other. It should be fun.

I didn't know that they had a bundle. The part that I did tonight, I didn't need the ball, but that may be something needed in another part of the game.

I wish I was smart enough to start at moderate. I kept going and I was sore from it for two days afterwards. I don't know what I was thinking.

You don't need the accessories for it. You can add them on later as the exercises become "easier" or if you want to change it up. If you have the bundle from EA Active the band in there is the same. I thought about using it once, but then decided I was not ready for that step up yet.

On the cookbook note, I don't know which one is in the bundle, but I bought The Biggest Loser Family Cookbook and the recipes in it our EXCELLENT!! Pretty easy to use and they are so full of flavor!! There is one recipe that has peanut butter, cool whip and chocolate graham crackers that is to die for!! And its only 156 calories!! (Chocolate, peanut butter and low calories are always a win in my book :woohoo:)

I have this game and I have been using it since Christmas. I really like it. It keeps me motivated and I feel it is definitely a workout.

You do not need any accessories. I use mine with the Balance Board but my hubby will be using it without. When you do extra routines you can select if you want to use a balance ball or resistance bands but I don't have any of those items yet so I haven't tried any of those routines.

Combined with Calorie Counting I've lost 10# since Christmas!

i had one of jillian's and hated it...it was really low-tech. i love my BL Wii game :teeth:

Thanks!

Can two people do it at the same time? I'm thinking about getting it either today or tomorrow since we are having yet another snow storm wednesday and thats a day I generally go to the gym with my mum but chances are it'll be closed so I figured we could do that instead.. I only have the one balance board but I think some one said you didn't need to use it that you could select what accessories you used..

Thanks again! :cool1:

Darthspud that is a great question!! I am not too sure on that. I have been trying to get my mom to workout with me so maybe tonight I can get her on and check it out. If I do I will update you. It would be a great help and motivator if you can work out with two people.
As for the balance board, totally not necessary to have. Some of the exercises I think are better without it.

I do believe that two people can play it at the same time. I saw it on the box and when I was playing today I saw where you could add someone. My DD has not joined me yet so I have not tried it.

I can tell you that just after doing this for the second day, I am feeling it. I am really out of shape though because it has been a while since I actually worked out, but I do see this as a challenge. That's a good thing for me. :goodvibes

Do they both need the nunchucks? I'm going to pick this up today! Sounds like its really worth it!

I've never had to use the nunchuk in the game ever so I doubt that they both need the nunchuk. I use the balance board though, so they may replace that with the nunchuk. Definitely get it!! Its a lot of fun!!

Edit: Actually, I just checked the box, doesn't say anything about being compatible with a nunchuk so no one needs one for this game!!

Today was day three for me!! I woke up this morning and I could feel my legs hurting a little from working out the past two days. That's good news!! It must be working.

I just finished another 30 minute workout and I am loving it. After just three days, my body is feeling alive again!!:rotfl2:

Excellent! I am now so excited to try this I can't wait! I've never been this excited for an exercise game/video before. I have an appointment sunday with a personal trainer at the gym too!

Have you bought the game yet? I am really feeling it tonight. :lmao: I got on the wii fit and did a few of those things before dinner and I am so proud!! My DD said that she is going to start this with me tomorrow, and I have a friend of mine that's coming over tomorrow to try it too so it should be fun.

My friend is wanting the Zumba game so we may end up doing that one too. I am just trying to get excited about losing this weight. I have felt better today than I have in a while.:goodvibes

Congratulations on the personal trainer. I have recruited my 12 year old to help me. She is perfect for the job.

:rotfl2: I know the feeling!! I was super excited before I bought it too, and I still am, but I still can't believe how much fun a fitness video game really is!!

This is exactly how I feel! I have never been one for video games but I like this game and it keeps me working out as I don't want to miss one of my routines! I currently have it set to 5 30 minute moderate workouts a week. Sometimes I think I'd really like to do only 4 days but I need to keep going so am afraid if I miss a day I'll regret it so I'm keeping these setting till it gets too easy for me. (Which could be awhile!)
