BTW, I am of the opinion that the pop-challeneg was rigged. how easy would it be for the producers to make it so the machine would produce a green check whenever THEY wanted.

As much as I like to believe it was not rigged, I am going to say you may be right.

And frankly, I know they do the "real weigh-in" before the "show weigh-in" but how do we know that they are truthful?

Hmmm ... I wonder if reality TV shows are regulated by Broadcast Standards and Practices. I would think that they couldn't rig the game any more than they could lie about actual weight loss.

I think that some of these things have to be staged. The pop challenge was definitely a type of game that could be rigged. I hate to be a conspiracy theorist but you pick a card at random and put it in a machine and you get either a red X or green check, really? The purple girl took like 8 trips to even get one point. It could have been controlled from someone at another location.

The red team really annoys me, they seem very childish. I get the game playing to a certain extent (like alliances and such) but you shouldn't have to rely on that to win, try busting your butt and losing lots of weight!

There was a magnetic strip at the bottom of the card, though. I thought that the machine was reading that? maybe I'm just too naive to think they would cheat like that. Manipulate people and situations, yes, but that would be flat out cheating.

His weight this week went from 324 to 318. He only lost 6 pounds. This seems kind of strange for a 300 pound man. Let's look at the losses for the week for some of the other men -

Darell - Black Team Dad lost 10 pounds 361 to 351.
Koli -Gray team cousin lost 12 pounds 353 to 341.
Sam - Gray Team Cousin lost 14 pounds 334 to 320.

I can understand Ashley - Pink Daughter losing 7 pounds going from 333 to 326. She is a woman. But Lance losing such a small number???

My first though was HE did the water loading this week.

Sounds like great Red Team Game play. Any thoughts??

I'm about over the Red Team, they've gotten their camera time. I commend Jillian for not playing nice with her.

There are many contestants that I really like this season though. I've grown fond of the Black team. The younger girl on the pink team seems to have a wicked sense of humor. Stephanie (purple) is so darn pretty - I hope she makes it to Makeover week because she is going to look fabulous. Gray team ... what a Momma's boy but still manages to make me smile with their enthusiasm.

Green team I think had a need for some serious Psychological counseling much more than diet and exercise advice. Hopefully the Mother will be gone next week because it just isn't enjoyable television. Anger anger anger but then Magdalia would laugh or smile over something and I'd think Wow, she looks so pretty when she smiles. I think she has a pretty tough life with the husband deployed and the two small children and I suspect her Mother and probably the rest of the family are simply a negative, toxic burden to her.

I am assuming that Allison said "there is no need for deliberation" (or whatever it was...) because it is a single-member team that falls below the yellow line (white, green, purple, brown).

In any case, it was a brilliant play to burden Green, who everyone seems to dislike to begin with, with the extra 2 lbs. Even more brilliant was to make John (Brown) stay away from the Gym ... if he had fallen under the yellow line it would have been "see ya!" to a very tough competitor. I didn't quite see the advantage of sitting Mike (White) out from the voting. It's too early for that to make much of a difference.

As much as I don't like Red, I dislike Green even more. I'm just sorry that they didn't both go home and if it had to be only one I would have preferred it to be Miggy who really gets under my skin. But instead Migdalia got her wish. On one hand, I'm sorry that Migdalia stalled. OTOH, I feel like she brought it all on herself with her false bravada.

Me too!!! And as much as I dislike Melissa, GOOD FOR HER for standing up to the green peeps. Why should they get to call her out and then get angry when she turns it back on them???

I was so focused on Melissa's number that I completely ignored his!!! I bet you are right!

I think it is going to be white. When they cut to a bedroom shot, the bedding in the room was all white and aren't they color coordinated???



All of that being said, I am saying again this week that I am disappointed with the screening of contestants this season. It seems they were cast purely for drama and not because they truly wanted to lose weight. I don't believe for a second that Migdalia is going to lose any more than 10-15 pounds more between last night's weight and the finale.

I forgot t o say how impressed I am with Michael. I think he finally got the message. This is why I am glad he didn't leave the ranch, I think he really needs their help and his mom has a better chance at home than he does. I hope it's not him that gets hurt or whatever next week. That would be such a blow to him in particular.

Very good point about Lance/Red Team drinking the water this week. I suppose he will also swear on the life of his children he didn't do that!

I also hope its not Michale who goes to the hospital. He is so young, he really needs to do this before its too late for him.

And they have an Alliance with the Red Team, speaks volumes for their character imho. So I am not a fan. I wish they would show more of the Orange Team. I also think we get to know the players better when they lose their partner.

You know I think the gray team is more naive than anything else and red team is exploiting that. They're both mama's boys and from what I gather have not lived outside their home. Red mom puts on a show about her kids and I think they've bought into that. And that wink was a close-up how do we know it was actually aimed at gray? Or that even actually happened in that moment? How many times have we seen Bob or Jillian's shocked faces right before a cut away and then you never actually see that face after commercial? Until I see them do something overtly evil, I'm personally reserving judgment on gray.

They do? Is this behind the scenes stuff or are you referring to how they gave them the phone call? If you are referring to the phone call, I think gray decided to do that because they were making decisions on people to call their children. They seem very family oriented and concerned with people being able to talk to their children. Maybe I missed something though. They always seemed like such determined people who are strong enough to play with out alliance.
