How about letting us also know if things are going great with your buddy!

I am happy to report that I am really enjoying getting to know my buddy! She has already inspired me in many ways.

Congratulations keenercam. Truly inspring. Both the weight loss and the struggles that you must have gone through with your health. Thanks so much for sharing with all of us. It's so nice to see other's success.

Today was my first WW meeting in 6 weeks, and I had decided to start this BL challenge from here so I would have an "official" weight to go by...so, that means todays weight is my starting weight. No gain or loss, lol, but I do weigh less than yesterday!

I stayed on-plan yesterday and today, but didn't make it to the gym yet this week! Thanks for believing in me, buddy! Alreadyexcitedgrammy, I will get to the gym tomorrow. I will. And I will stay under my points. :thumbsup2

Congratulations to all you losers this week, I hope to join you next week in celebrating! :cool1:

For those who didn't have a loss this week, just remember to keep on working on it, you will have a loss eventually if you keep at it. I always lose weight after a week where I gained or stayed the same.

Off to bed so I don't eat anything else, LOL.

Thank you so much, Lisa! As you can see, I have a very long way to go, but I am so excited about being among this amazing group of WISHers who will inspire me to keep moving toward my goal! :grouphug:

morning all - I was here last night but I wanted you to start the day with the motivational quote I received in my e-mail this morning - I thought it was a good one :lmao:

For true success, ask yourself these four questions:
Why? Why not? Why not me? Why not now?
--James Allen

Also, I heard from my buddy too - so that's our update on the buddy report!

Keenercam - you are AMAZING and look fabulous - no doubt you will make that goal!

acourtwdw2 - your DS (sorry - I don't know her name -I gotta go back and read the Q & A - I can tell I missed too much) lost 14 lbs - WOW - I am proud of her too!!!

Yesterday I was reading the AARP magazine (well, I am married to a much older man - it really is addressed to him:rotfl2: but there is some good info in it for those older folks:rolleyes1 ) anyway - our dear friend Richard Simmons was interviewed and he said that he does some kind of workout every single day! No wonder he still looks so good and has tons of energy to be "bopping" in and checking on all of us WISHers! WTG Richard - you are an inspiration :worship:

I'm off to do a little tming before work - have a great day every one and remember YOU ARE WORTH IT - keep making those healthy choices :yay:

I have heard from my buddy- she has a crazy schedule so not sure if she posted here or if i missed it.......I thought my schedule was wacky...nothing like hers! She's quite the inspiration!

Thtat said- if some of you are still missing buddies- I'll take you on....You can't have too many buddies....so theres an idea for those that need some individual support

Off to the journal.

Have a great day everyone!

Great Quote to start the day

Question of the Day

Do you remember what you were doing when it hit you that being at this weight is enough? Was it a pair of jeans that didn't fit...an airplane seat...or simply an overall sense of not feeling right....etc???

Thanks DisneyDawn for the question.

I think for me it was when my neice mistook me for her mom. I have always been thinner than my twin sister but that day I wasn't as thin as I was in the past.

Question of the Day

Ah for me it was when I put on my Guard Suit from 3 years ago and it just didn't look the same as it did then! Add that to the trip to the Caribbean that we booked and well it all went together

Mine is twofold. Basically looking at any picture of me from the last 5 years will do it. Also my thighs were rubbing together when I wore shorts. That was it. I couldn't handle that anymore!

My buddy, mikamah, is great! I can't wait to logon and hear about how she is doing. And it makes me want to work harder so that I can tell her good news. Yeah buddies!!! Oh, and down 4.2 lb. at weighin this week. Yeah buddies!!!

QOTD...

Plain and simple, I do not want to be my Mother I want to be me. I want my kids to be proud of me, I want to look in the mirror and look at me not eyes. I want to be healthy and I am sick of dreaming of myself the way I was. I am a fat body stuck in a thin mind. I don't get it when I can't do things or fit into something because my brain thinks I should, strange I know.:confused3

For me it was back in 2003 when we were planning our 10 day cruise in December of '04. We met up with two families we'd be cruising with. Both of the ladies at lost weight and were talking about the changes they made. One had done it through WISH. I joined WW the next day! I did lose 25 pounds that first time but then life got in the way and over the next couple of years gained it back. For this second go round it was turning 50 and facing some medical concerns.

Question of the Day

My scrub pants at work were getting tight, and when I bent down to empty a catheter bag at the end of my shift, I couldn't breathe, and I did not want to go up another size, so that was the final straw that got me to start WW again in sept 05, but at the same time, my mom was coming home from a 5 week hospitalization, with multiple health problems, many lifestyle related, and I said to myself, this is the last time I am going to do ww, and I will lose the weight and keep it off because I want to be healthy and active as I get older, and I do not want my son to have to go through the stress that I was dealing with when I am older. I want to be around for a long time, and I know there are no guarantees in life, but I want to prevent what is preventable. I've stuck with it, and have kept 35 pounds off, and am still working on the other 35. And I'm still dealing with my mom and her diabetes, lung disease, etc, and that is still motivating me to keep on track.

Good question today. Gets me thinking maybe some therapy would help me.:rolleyes1

Awesome work everyone. Have a great day!!

QOTD:
Was two things one was I knew and I did not like what I saw in the mirror.
The second is that may dad does not go to the doctors at all he is from italy and he was not feeling well so I told him if it went and did what the doctors said I would lose 30lbs!! I have to keep that promise...

My "ah ha" moment was when I realized I was turning 45 and still had the extra weight on I said I would lose when I turn 40 5 years flew by and I was still unhappy with my weight. I am going to Orlando this April and I want to look and feel good.

Also, Did anyone watch Biggest Loser last night, my recorder did not record it  I was so bummed when I woke up to watch it and it wasn't there.

Who got voted off?
