Where to start? I have a feeling this is going to turn into a vent...
I got an e-mail from my doctor last night. She has lots of ideas for why I'm not feeling very well, including the stomach bug that is going around here. I'm not sure that high-pitched tinnitus and frequent lightheadedness equal the stomach bug, but I'm not ruling it out either. She had a few other ideas too that are related to the meds I am taking, but overall, there is no definitive conclusion. Well, except for one: I have to drink Gatorade.
So, I stopped for some on my way to work and decided on a 20 oz. bottle. I believe that is 130 calories. I read the ingredients when I got to work and
. I knew it was high in sugar, but I wasn't expecting so many artificial ingredients.
Then, I drank some. Or should I say, tried to drink some. It's like drinking liquid sugar. Try as I may, I was only able to drink about 8 oz. today. My doctor didn't say how much I needed to drink of it, but for some reason, I think she meant more than that. I will try again tomorrow. I'm not thrilled about drinking 5 points in Gatorade, but I wasn't nearly as lightheaded today, so it seems like I don't have much of a choice. I will stop again tomorrow for another bottle-maybe a different flavor-and see how the day goes.
I went to WW today and was expecting a decent loss based on my Wii, but I only lost .8 lbs. I'll take it, but I will definitely be kicking it up this week. I'm hoping to go to the gym sometime soon, but not until I have at least 2 good days in a row and I'm eating all my points and using my weeklies for Gatorade. I can't believe i'm saying this, but I miss exercising. I did get in over 9500 steps today, which gave me 3 activity pts, but I don't use my points from walking around work as food equivalent points. I consider them "bonus" activity points.
On a different note, it sounds like we are doing well.
QOTD: I try to keep Lean Cuisine type meals in the freezer, but we are rarely out of food. There is always something we can make-omelets or pancakes for dinner, pasta with some type of meat, tuna noodle cassorole. My mom would say, "I'm fine with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich." We are never short on bread and I don't think there is anything wrong with having a PB&J sandwich once in a while. They can have it on 2 slices of white bread and I'll have it one one slice of wheat bread.
I'm ready for bed, so I best be off for the night. Have a great day tomorrow everyone!
