Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge--for Losers and Maintainers

OH MY GOSH!!! That is just amazing! I'm super proud of you! That is such an accomplishment!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!:dance3::cheer2::woohoo::flower3: ..................P

Thank you, it was a long 32 months but I'm glad I pushed through. Trust me there were quite a few times where I wanted to throw in the towel. However, I didn't because I knew Josh would of wanted me to finish what I started.

Now, I'm excited for our Disney trip in 37 days ::MickeyMo

I'm getting ready to go on Lane Bryant's website and order some shorts and a tankini top. I bought one a few weeks ago at Wal-Mart but its a halter top. I want to get one that will fit me better at Disney. I don't want to fall out of my swimsuit :scared1:

Cam, I have to say that this is one of the best QOTD that we've ever had! :cool1:

I wish I knew a:genie:who would :teleport:us all to WDW for a :drinking1and a :mickeybar so I could say :thanks: to my friends here for all the :love:and :grouphug: you all have given me. Maybe we could end our visit with a trip to Jellyrolls where we could :rockband: and :dancer: and party: all night.

Well the :laundy: is calling me now. Have a :cool1::banana::cheer2::hippie: night princess:'s and pirate:s.

YES!!! best post of the day! :jumping1:

ITA! Kathy you are so funny!

Back from seeing popcorn:::Pinkbounc It was

Not very good at this smilie thing tonight!

TTFN :tigger:

:lmao: I know I have been feeling smilie challenged all day and usually I am running from the smilie police! ;) Even this post had to be divided up into three posts. :lmao:

Well, this is as good a time as any to come back after a few weeks' :scared1: absence; I was feeling :guilty: because I fell off the exercise wagon starting with being  and then I injured my foot (not even exercising--just a  mistake). :charac2: But now I am  because I've resumed my healthy diet and exercise, have no more foot pain, and managed to maintain my loss so far during my time off-plan. Back on schedule now.
:thanks: for making it easy to come back :flower3: .
I am glad to be a :wishmember

:welcome: back! Always room for one more in the wagon! :flower3:

I am :) to report that I journaled every bite today! :thumbsup2 I was a bit :scared1: because we went out for dinner and a lot of food has cheese on it. Have a great, OP day tomorrow everyone! :goodvibes

Good job with the journalling today, CC! :thumbsup2

I just turned in my last group assignment so I can finally say

COLLEGE IS OVER!! :cool1:

Woo hoo! :woohoo:

What a wonderful feeling, I am sure. I've got years to go yet, but will know that it will be well worth it when I'm done. Congratulations.

You'll get there! :flower3:

DD and I managed to find a decent deal on our new sneakers for Disney. But she is now being a bit indecisive about whether or not she wants to keep hers. Since it was a BOGO 50% off sale, I will hold off on wearing mine until she decides. They were both kind of pricey and I probably won't keep either of them if she doesn't want hers. I bought Aasics and they are delightfully comfortable, but I don't need anything that expensive just to walk around Disney. My feet aren't terribly picky and I could be just as comfortable in some sale priced New Balance from Sears.

Aren't you the lady who needs some new running shoes? princess: Would these comfy shoes work for you?

I had a very nice and relaxing day today. :goodvibes I did a little cleaning and :laundy:. I laid down for a little rest. I spent a lot of time here :coffee: dreaming about crusing from Seatlle :boat: and dreaming of Castway Cay :beach: even though it is a long way from Seattle! :rotfl2: And I especially enjoyed all the fun posts from all of you. :jumping1: I just love you all!

Have to say the Venetian Sunsets :beach: are pretty tasty tonight, too. Only 190 calories and journalling each one! :thumbsup2

mmmmmm, sounds delicious.

:cool1::banana::cool1:Congratulations!! What an amazing accomplishment! So happy for you.

Good morning everyone. I agree with Lisa, yesterday's qotd was so much fun. Loved reading everyone's answers. And I even got Tracey's movie Hop. So cute.

Mrs Malone- Welcome back and congrats on getting back on track after your derailment. And a great bonus to have maintained, too. :thumbsup2

Pamela- Love hearing about your pre disney shopping. So much fun, the anticipation for the trip is almost as much fun as the trip. I read Hollister, and was surprised, and then I read about the deal you got. I figured you'd buy at hollister for dd, but not for you. So happy you got a good deal for you both. I bought a new little camera a few years ago, and have been very happy with it on our last 3 trips. Even with the kids races this past trip, I thought I'd need my big camera with the zoom, but I didn't bring it, and was very happy with the small camera. I have it in my purse all the time. I bet you'll love it.

Not much happening today, which is nice. While we were run/walking we saw so many people out working in their yards and felt a little guilty about not doing yard work, so I did a little yesterday afternoon, but really need to get out today and clean up more.

I did journal every bite, but also used a lot of flex points, but am still within my weeklies. That's what it's all about. Making it liveable.

CC- Nice job only using 2 weeklies and the weekend is half over. :thumbsup2

Have a nice sunday everyone!!:)

Good morning all,

Watching Mister Magoo the movie with Ash this morning! Really bad! We did read a few pages in Kingdom Keepers together when we first got up. Slept well though I kept waking up.

Got church at 10 and then Izzie has a b'day party at 3 and then we're going out to dinner right from the party. Haven't eaten all that great as I did indulge in some popcorn at the movies. I also ate some M&Ms. Dinner was chips with DH! We also had some amaretto with ginger ale to drink.

Guess I'll get breakfast started so we can be ready for church on time.

TTFN :tigger:

Good morning, everyone. Our quiet weekend has become unexpectedly very busy so I am going to post the QOTD and come back after church and lunch and grocery shopping to catch up.

QOTD for Sunday, April 10-- what has been the single most (positive) influential factor in your weight-loss/getting fit journey? Was it a lightbulb moment, was it finding a new passion for physical activity? Was it the influence of a person? Was it medically motivated?

Have a great day, everyone!

You know, I'm not really sure what started it the first time, but now that I had some recent blood work, it's medically motivated. My numbers are fine, but they used to be lower, and I'd like to see them back where they once were.

Thanks everyone for the support with the journaling challenge! It's been great for me.

I have a semi-busy day planned. My bedroom needs a good once-over and I have clean laundry all over the house to pick up and put in drawers. I think I'll go to that now.

I'm all caught up on the thread now so I can play along with the rest of you!

Cam, I would like to join the journal challenge. I started today. I did have a run-in with some Cadbury mini-eggs, but I wrote it all down and moved on. Today I am taking the day off from exercise but I got a light workout washing down our outside furniture. We don't have a hose so there was a lot of bending and scrubbing. I've gotten a lot accomplished today. I'm way up today I think because I drank 3 beers Friday night and 2 last night. I've noticed since I've been on this journey that alcohol has a HUGE effect on my weight and I generally try to avoid it. It's so hard on these nice sunny days when we have get-togethers with friends.

Marcy - thanks for sharing your cruise pics and congrats on booking another cruise. I just love Disney cruises. Your family is so cute.

Dave - I am so sorry to hear about your little grandson. I will keep him and your family in my prayers and I look forward to reading many positive updates!

Pamela - Congrats on finally reaching your goal! Awesome! It's fun to read about all your preparations for your trip. You will love the smaller camera, I am loving the one I got in Feb.

Deb - so glad to hear your new job is going well.

Kathy - how exciting for your neice to get to do the France trip! She will love it!

Cam - COD is a videogame "Call of Duty" that is quite violent and I was surprised the host family in Spain let my son play it. He told me he had a 9 kill streak going:rolleyes:

Friday QOTD: I do 45 mins on the elipticall M/W/F, I have 12 different programs and I just go to the next one each time. I jog (slowly) 2.5 miles T/Th/Su. I do an hour of yoga on Weds and Fris and I usually take Sat off. I'm a little off this week and am taking today off. I also have 30 day shred and BL for Kinnect but haven't figured out how to work them in consistently yet. Bought the mainly for those cold winter days when I can't run outside.

Saturday QOTD: I am so  I found you all on the :wishmember ! You :cheer2: for me when I succeed, you give me :grouphug: when I need it. I get lots of great  here and sometimes I even :rotfl2: at the posts. I have lost almost:wishthirty since Feb 2010. I wish the rest would just :wizard: but sometimes I popcorn:: too much and get  But, it's nice to know I can always :surfweb: and get back on track!

Sunday QOTD: Finding the WISH board has been by far the most influential factor in my weight loss. Just seeing that others have actually done it is so motivating for me. I love all the support.

Hello to everyone I missed! Hope you enjoy your Sunday. DS has finished all
his make-up work so we are heading out for a bike ride.

lisah0711- what is in a Venetian Sunset? I do love me a adult beverage!!

Amy, it's prosecco (sparkling Italian wine or champagne) with pineapple juice and a bit of juice from the marichino cherry bottle over ice. It's from the Olive Garden so I try to match that because that is where I got the calorie count. It's very yummy! :cool2:

That's the key! ::yes::

Enjoy the yardwork today -- rain and wind here so there will be none of that. :rotfl:

The single most influential factor in my weight-loss journey is YOU ALL! For the first time in forever, I make progress year after year because I have you all to help me! :flower3:

Congrats the HH folks. This is a good time to give HH another try -- even one of the habits will help. Thanks for being HH coach, CC! :thumbsup2

::yes:: If you figure out a way to make rest just :wizard: let me know! ;)

Enjoy your bike ride! And  on the COD, I asked DS what he would do and he told me that he would have played in a heartbeat, too, like I was crazy for even asking. :scared:

Going to run errands with DH today, get ready for the next week, and play Zuma Blitz on Facebook. Enjoy your Sunday all!

I remember waking up one day and realizing that I was done having children, that I was not happy with my weight or my lack of activity and decided right then and there that I was going to lose weight. My original goal was a size 12, but I blew by that and reached a size 6/8. I'm heavy again, but only size 10. I definitely do not feel as good as I did lighter and finally have some of my mojo coming back. Maybe the sunshine is reminding me that bathing suits are around the corner :scared1:

QOTD: Redwalker was a real inspiration to me! It has allowed us much more time to spend together! We also got a Wii for Christmas 2008 so I started there. I have discovered how much I love walking and am enjoying running a lot more too! I am hoping to do a 1/2 with Redwalker in October and my local 5K in September! I love my WATP! I really wanted to lose a bunch of weight for our trip to Disney in April 2009 and I had lost about 25-30 by that trip. I am hovering around 145 now which is where I would like to stay. I am struggling on weekends again but with soccer season starting I will also get in some walking at the track on Tuesday nights and maybe even some jogging.

Izzie will be going to a b'day party in an hour and a half and then I will pick her up at 5 and stop and pick up dinner to bring home and we will watch Voyage of the Dawn Treader. We are watching Tron: Legacy now. I need to do some straightening up while watching.

Brian and I are going to pick up Ash's b'day present tomorrow morning and do some errands while the girls are at school. Maybe we will also clean out the garage tomorrow afternoon.

Time to get cleaning AGAIN! I feel that's all I do lately. I got the coupons cut out so at least that is done!

TTFN :tigger:

QOTD - Well, the first motivator was I want another child. After the passing of my daughter it hit me really hard. Well, then my motivation changed when I had tons of bloodwork taken and the numbers weren't great at all. So, it went from wanting another baby (trust me I still do) to I need to get healthier.

Aren't you the lady who needs some new running shoes? princess: Would these comfy shoes work for you?

Well.... I went out Tuesday night looking for sneakers and didn't find any. When I talked to my Mom that night, she reminded me that DH had bought me a new pair for Christmas. I had put them away in my closet to save and completely forgot about them!! They are perfect and I have already worked on breaking them in!! The Rykas that were making my ankle hurt are already in the Goodwill bag. I didn't even want to save them for "bang around" sneakers cause of the ankle pain.

Were you surprised because I am so notoriously cheap?? You're right! But we were just checking out the clearance table cause DD loves that store, and lo and behold, there were these cute t-shirts that DD had admired a few months ago. Two size large (the only place left on the planet where I need to buy a large  ). They are white t-shirts with a super cute orange/yellow/pink sparkly sunset design.... and the word "Hollister" is really tiny. I HATE their prices and I doubly hate paying their prices just to walk around advertising their name in huge letters on my chest!!!

Haven't read the camera book yet, but I will try to get to it this week. I think I will really love it.

Well....as I've said before, my initial reason for re-starting this journey again was the determination to NOT return to Disney fatter than the previous trip. And that definitely jump started my motivation to lose the first 35-ish pounds. Wish I could say exactly what motivated me to CONTINUE to stay OP after the trip. Maybe just the knowledge of "been there, done that, know what happens if I don't continue this!" Joining this group has definitely been a factor in helping me stay OP.

Pamela - Congrats on finally reaching your goal! Awesome! It's fun to read about all your preparations for your trip. You will love the smaller camera, I am loving the one I got in Feb.

Sorry if I was a bit misleading. Haven't hit goal yet.....but currently just 3.5 pounds away!!!!!! I've actually been within 2.5 pounds of the goal weight three different times in the past year....but every time was right before a big holiday or vacation and I never quite made it..... YET! I'm feeling like this time might be it!!

I remember waking up one day and realizing that I was done having children, that I was not happy with my weight or my lack of activity and decided right then and there that I was going to lose weight. My original goal was a size 12, but I blew by that and reached a size 6/8. I'm heavy again, but only size 10. Size 10 is NOT heavy!!! I can relate that you feel better at a 6/8, but don't be so hard on yourself.....size 10 is fabulous! I'm sure there are folks on here who would agree!! When I was a tight size 16, I would have paid all the money in the world to be a beautiful size 10. And you are truly beautiful, inside and out!!

You will get back where you want and soon..... but in the meantime remember how great you look!!

*******

Happy Sunday everyone!

I was up bright and early and got in a good full workout, but if I have time I may try to do a bit more cardio later. Church was good. It was nice to go to the early service. Then a (not so quick) trip to Target and the grocery store, home to put away groceries and feed the family, check email, and now it is nearly 3pm!! YIKES! I've got laundry to get done and some vacuuming that needs to be done before this busy week!! Plus I need to replan a few of my dinners for this week. DD has decided to try a few weeks of SB with me (since she isn't doing intense swim training right now, she is concerned about gaining some weight). So no sense in making the higher carb meals for just the men..... instead I will adjust the menu for the next few weeks to make it easier for DD and I to avoid the carbs at dinner.

I'm craving a cup of tea, so I'm gonna run. I'll try to hop on again before bedtime.........................P

My biggest motivators are my granddaughters, who are 11 and 12-1/2, the love of my life . We take them to Disney :mickeyjumevery other year and have to be able to keep up with them ;);). No slacking on the job Grandma & Grandpa.

Right now, my DH is my biggest motivator & cheerleader :cheer2: because he is going to the gym with me 4 times a week. Going to the gym alone is so very hard. ::yes::
