I don't have time (although I have more time now), It's boring, I don't want people to see me.

I'm still here, I just haven't found the time to reply to this fast moving thread since the merge. Here's my intro: I'm Lisa from Team Mickey, a SAHM with a son (3rd grade) and a daughter (kindergarten). In my working life I was a chef, so I definitely like food. This is my 2nd BL challenge and I've lost 30 pounds since Jan of last year. I am now at the point where I quit during my last weight loss attempt 4 years ago and have been a little nervous lately if the scale doesn't move. I also started taking thyroid medication last June.

Hi team Donald-so great to catch up with everyone and meet new people!

Rose-I'm so glad you got your shoe issue resolved. I've been trying new inserts and they seem to be helping.

Dave-I'm so jealous! Enjoy WDW!

Nancy-I hope you can resolve your tummy issues soon. Its definitely not the fun part about being pregnant.

LisaH-I heard you got swept at the princess and I admire you so much for racing. You are going to rock your next half!

Kathy-That's great you got out there and got in some walking. You are an inspiration! Onederland will be here soon!

Cam-I'm so glad to hear you are able to get in a little more exercise now. I hope your knee doesn't continue to give you problems.

Jeanette-I've read good things about the new CS DL menus. In my opinion, outside of Epcot, DL has better counter service food than WDW, much better than MK for sure!

I have to share will all of you who will understand, last week we received our first ever pin code. :cool1: I was so excited! Its for DL (we still have yet to get one for WDW, I keep hoping). It was addressed to DH, who glanced at it, determined it was for this summer (vacation plans are already made) and THREW IT AWAY! He didn't want to even look it up or just dream what if. I didn't even get a good look at it. Why was it addressed to him anyway? I'm the one who makes all our travel plans!

Have a great day everyone!

_____________________________________________________

Here lately, its been I'm to tired.

I just got home from my first training session in over a week. I already know I'm going to be in pain in a few hours. :lmao:. Its a beautiful day here in Texas, little breezy but the temperature is awesome. I'm going to grab some lunch here a few minutes and then sit down and tackle my group assignment.

40 days til Disney World!!

If I NEVER see another slice of turkey breast after these two weeks, it will be okay with me! This SB diet is definitely NOT something I could do long term. Just not my kind of eating. In fact, I lean much more towards a vegetarian type of diet. We eat meatless dinner at least twice a week and sometimes as often as 4 nights..... and I don't eat much meat during the day either. Mostly beans, fruits, veggies, hummus, peanut butter, some lowfat cheese.... and of course, complex carbs!

Lunch today was a huge green salad (romaine, spinach, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red bell pepper) with homemade Good Seasons italian dressing (make it light with very little EVOO and some rice wine vinegar.... super good), 4 oz of light turkey breast (I rarely eat lunch meat and then it is always the Hormel all-natural... but I bought some Hillshire Farms on sale this week.... not loving it), and 3 hardboiled egg whites.... plus a liter of seltzer. But I'm really missing my fruit.

Kettle is heating up for a cup of tea, so that should hit the spot for "dessert."

Laundry is moving along, downstairs vacuuming done, 45 minutes on the TM, picked up the dining room and the office, beds made, etc. I have about 90 minutes before I have to hit the shower and get ready to get the kids, etc. Hmmm... housework, scrapbooking or what?

DH is going to a meeting tonight, so I told DD she could hit the pool for an hour today for some extra practice (currently off-season until 4/18). While she is swimmming I will try to get a new pair of walking/running shoes. And with DH gone I am NOT cooking a big dinner. Tonight's chicken drumsticks get moved to tomorrow. Tomorrow night's veggie egg pie gets cancelled. And tonight I will get Subway for the kids and pack myself some food to eat while out running errands. I know Subway has salads, but I'm not that interested... plus they are expensive!

Well.... gotta run..........P

QOTD- none of the above. Lack of motivation/laziness
Gotta run, DCL is announcing their new itineraries in three minutes!
Cam- Yay for being on the losing side!!
Amy- good job with staying OP yesterday
Dave- sounds like youre having a great vacation already! The Bay Lake Towers are really nice.
Rose- thanks for the advice. I think it’s the right direction to go. Im so happy you found the reason for why your leg is hurting. I hope you have a great, painless run tonight!
Kathy- Hi! Glad to hear Michael didn’t miss the bus today.
Nancy- so sorry youre having tummy issues. Those prenatal pills don’t sound yummy at all! It could be a side effect maybe?
LisaH- Thanks. Agreed, WDW typically has better food than DL, especially in counter service. Next time I go to DL, I am going to check out a counter service that only has baked potatoes!!
Aamomma- Woohoo for the loss!
Karen- that’s good news about your leg! Way to go with the exercise last night.
Lindsay- Happy birthday to DS!
Lisa (Liesel)- The new CS menus are good. I have tried Hungry Bear restraint (to die for onion rings) and Pinocchio’s Village Hause. Woohoo for getting a pin, did you decide to book???
P- sorry about SB. Its hard when you can only eat certain food. Hopefully you will find your grove soon.

I was a bit down-in-the-mouth due to a little mini-stall over the past week. Then I remembered to take my measurements again to see where I was at, dur.

Very stoked with the inches progress: 4" in the chest, 6.5" in the waist and 4.5" from the hips.

I really need to focus less on the scale -- horrible addiction, that hunk of glass and metal. :headache:

Pjlla: Oh, I hear ya on the sliced turkey. Not a fan here. One of the things I most looked forward to adding back after those 2 weeks, outside of another breakfast choice, was some strawberries and apples.

I'd have to say I use the following excuses:

-- It's too difficult for me
-- It's boring

I still do it, but it's a lot of whining and complaining in my head about it :rotfl:

And tonight I will get Subway for the kids and pack myself some food to eat while out running errands.

What a way to plan ahead! Keep it up!

I REALLY need to start taking my measurements...I hear you about the scale, I feel the same way, when it stops I lose a lot of motivation.

Not to much going on over here today. So have I told you guys how much I HATE Wednesdays :headache: Speed workout day over here and I hate it, it's soooo hard. I dread it on Tuesday evening all the way up to the second I get on the treadmill. It's a great workout and I did good today, but I'm extremely thankful that it's over. Grrrr....:crazy2: :faint:...okay whine over.

Had a Lean Cuisine for lunch with a salad and I'm working on water. Tonight's dinner will be turkey hot dogs, quick and easy. The pasta primavera we had last night was great and I plan on adding it to my monthly dinner rotation :thumbsup2

On another note, I'm thinking about taking DS to see an actual Thomas the Train next weekend. There's a train depot in Rusk, TX that has a couple of weekends this month where you can ride Thomas. DS would LOVE it, only problem is that it's a 2 1/2 hour drive from us (not so much fun with a 2 year old strapped in a car seat) and it's going to be $20 for each of us to ride :rolleyes1 I'm okay with it since DS is only young once, but DH might put his foot down :lmao:

Have a great day everyone!

Nicole princess:

I seriously cannot keep up with this thread.

Neither can I. I just come and read back a page or two whenever I have time. :goodvibes I figure I'll never be able to keep track of everyone every day, but there is always something to be learned or enjoyed from whatever I have time to read. :thumbsup2

Neither can I. I just come and read back a page or two whenever I have time.

Thanks Cam. I think that's a great approach.:goodvibes I think you feel the same way I do--I appreciate all the support and all the inspiration I get from such an active group.:goodvibes There are days when I don't read everything--but I know that's ok.:)

Evening friends!

Home for the night watching Destination Truth from last night. As soon as this is over I will head back downstairs to continue what I started today and also so I can workout down there in the morning!

Redwalker and I had a nice walk. It was a little shorter than we thought but we enjoyed talking and getting our exercise! Luna was great! I love that puppy!

Ash needs a shower as she has sand in her hair so she will do that once this is over. I may try and watch another episode of The Good Wife on demand. I'm 2 episodes behind right now.

I ended up having a small salad with some shaved ham on top for supper. Then I had a 60 calorie mousse for dessert. I'm still drinking my water and may have another cup of tea as well tonight.

Show is ending so I will head back downstairs!

TTFN :tigger:

Thanks Rose and P!

Well, my weigh-in at WW wasn't pretty. I bought myself a new 3-month journal and am starting fresh. I got in a short workout tonight and am aiming for 6 a week. Thursdays will likely be my rest day. I really need to make exercise a routine, so I'm taking the shorter times over more days approach. I can do 30 minutes on the recumbent bike, but will need to work my way up to that on the treadmill and elliptical. I also need to add in some strength training. I have to use the Wii Fit more often too. And, most importantly, I have to stay within my points.

It's obvious I know what to do. I just need to do it. I'm ready to do it and I WILL DO IT!

Have a great day everyone!

Pamper Week, Thursday:
1. Smile at 5 people in passing.
2. Have a healthy dessert or snack.

I don't have time. Really, I do have to sleep sometime and that is all I can give up at this point. :cool1:

I did smile at at least 5 people today and I had a healthy snack, but those are the pampering for tomorrow :lmao:

Nicole princess:

We did this when it was about 2 hrs away from us too. Ryan was around 3. He was very into thomas. I have to say it was not worth the money. Thomas is the front train car but the rest of the train was just an old plain train. There was a 10 min timeframe of excitement when we saw the train pull up and dont get me wrong the ride was fun but Im not sure if it was worth the long drive with a toddler in the car. Just offering my honest opinion about it. I am sure if you decide to do it you will make it fun and he will love seeing thomas. I dont want to be a debbie downer about it but just wanted to share our experience. Everyone is different though.:goodvibes

Good evening everyone. No run for me tonight it has been raining since 4pm today. We had a fun night with nick and my parents came down and gave him his present. He got a toy grill. He loves playing cooking so he was excited. Then him and Ryan were being waiters and taking orders and serving us. It was quite entertaining. These are the moments that I wish I could freeze in time because I know they are growing up too fast.:guilty: It was a long day and I just finished up my state taxes and now I am heading to bed.

Good night!

Hi, everyone!
CC- I am glad you have a plan. I know you can do this. I think the three month journal is a great idea. I bought one too and it will take me right up to our trip. Can you imagine how accomplished we will feel at the end of every day that we journal? We should challenge each other to daily journaling. :)

Deb- I seriously have no idea how you manage it all! Does your new job start tomorrow?

Hi to all I missed!

I was really looking forward to my WW weigh-in tomorrow but I ate too much sodium in a late dinner tonight so now I'm worried. I had a delicious dessert tonight- an apple steamed in the microwave with Taryn's delicious Pampered Chef sweet cinnamon. Yum! Then I did 2 mile WATP. Off to bed now.

I find that I do better when I have the ability to plan ahead and track as I go..

today I did OK
I nanny 2 16hours a week, and then am working towards my masters the other days
the 2 youngest of the 3 were both sick with fevers and a slight stomach bug so that meant that a) I could not use the treadmill while the 2year old napped as he literally had to be held for hours at a time and b) when the 10yr old got home and wanted me to make peanut butter brownies i relented and then proceeded to eat 2 servings of them!!

so all told i was about 300calories over maximum goal for weight loss, but still in the weight loss "zone"

hoping tomorrow is better!!!

Good Thursday morning Teams. We almost made it through the week.

Deb Good luck on your new job this morning. I hope it is everything you want it to be.

tipsytrtle today is another day. Don't be too hard on yourself. It is over and done with.

keenercam good luck at WW. I lovve making baked apples in the microwave.

mommyof2Pirates sounds like a great little party. They do grow up too fast. In two weeks my oldest will be 26.

cclovesdis the journal sounds great. I may have to try it myself.

Rose&Mike how is it going with your son? I hope things are getting better.

Bungle It is okay not to keep up. Just read and post when you can. Many people do that.

mizzoutiger76 we are done with Wednesday. It is a shame that Thomas is not closer. I don't know if I would do it.

Missoutandabout congrats on the inches

Cupcaker I can't believe that DCL will be sailing out of NY. The Canada cruise is one that my dh might do.

pjlla isn't it amazing how when dh is out we change dinner plans so easily. My dh doesn't like mac and cheese so when he would be out that is what we would have for dinner.

Disneywedding2010 It is exciting to be almost done. good luck

Off to get dressed and go to work

Have a happy and healthy day

Deb--have a great first day at your new job!

Today is my youngest sons bday. Nicholas is 4 today. I made cupcakes last night for him to take to daycare. I saved 4 for us tonight to sing him happy birthday but my parents are now coming too so I think I will try to pawn my cupcake off on my dad.:rotfl2:

Ok not sure if you care but here is why I may not be on here much over then next few days.

Thur- work/tball practice 545-7
Fri- Im off! Nick and I are going to his new school for a tour at 10, Check up for nick at 1120, Lunch w/ nick for bday, P/U ryan 130, Visit my friend who will be watching Ry during the summer for him to meet her and see her house, then we have family pics at 6. We have to then go to the mall and get ryan his tball pants.
Sat- 10am opening ceremonies for little league, 12 team pics, 1 tball game, 330 nicks bday party.
Sun- 7 mile run!!!!

It makes me stress just to think about all that I need to get done. uggh...by the way did anyone else know it is National Stress Awareness Month in April?

I am fully aware that I am stress:lmao:
Lindsay--that is a busy couple of days! I'm glad Nick had a good birthday.:goodvibes I bet that was so cute to watch the kids play with the toy grill. Those are definitely the moments I miss.:goodvibes And  on the weather. Good weather is coming--I promise. It has been nice here this week, and I'm sure it will eventually make it further north.:goodvibes

I'm anxious to see what happens with your weigh in. I thought about trying SB again last year, but realized that since I don't do meat that it would be a lot harder. I think it does a fabulous job getting you to focus on your food and really kick starts weight loss, so hopefully you will be able to kick those last couple pounds to the curb.:goodvibes

It's obvious I know what to do. I just need to do it. I'm ready to do it and I WILL DO IT!
Success breeds success CC. Sometimes we just need to learn not to be afraid of success. You can do it.:goodvibes

Loved this Lindsay! It's got to soon be time for DHs new job to start.

Hope it goes well with your weigh in!

Dona--thanks for asking about DS. Honestly, at this point, I just want him to make it through the semester. He's had a rough time because of some bad choices. He's learned a lot of very grown-up lessons this semester and it's been rough. These are the times that I hate that he's so far away. He comes home for Easter, and I think he is looking forward to that.

*****
I am happy to report that I ran/walked ~1.75 miles yesterday with a 2/.30 interval.:goodvibes We walked before and after and went a total of 3.6. My knee was pretty sore at the end, but I came home and iced and iced and iced and it's feeling good today.:goodvibes I am going to run again on Saturday. To me the most positive sign is that it feels good today. I might have to break down and have him treat the plantar-fasciitis as well. I'll give it a few more runs with the new shoes. It did not hurt during the run, but my foot is a little sore this morning.

Today is opening day for Milb--we have season tickets! So exciting! Did I tell you all that they are supposed to have g-f beer? I am really happy about that.:goodvibes We are really going to have to plan to eat at home this year because there is almost nothing I can eat at the stadium--peanuts and softserve and chips are the only things I can think of. Sometimes they have roasted corn. Not a great selection. The good news is we should save a ton of money this year!:goodvibes

Have a great day everyone!:goodvibes

Thanks to those who suggested that I just skim through the posts to try to keep up. Still a bit overwhelming, but I think I can manage it. I had a rough weekend and gained back a pound I lost last week. But it is back off and then some after starting back on the South Beach Diet on Tuesday. DH is doing it too. That makes it much easier.

I found a great place for lunch. The grocery store! I never really paid attention to the food bars that Krogers and HyVee have until last week when I was picking up some things for work. There is a Kroger just a couple blocks from where I work. They have a sushi bar, a salad bar, and a specialty food bar. They have so much "great for you" food on these that I was truly amazed. And it is much cheaper than going out for lunch. You pick what you want and then pay per pound. I bought my own salad dressing and keep it at work. Now that it is warmer, I have been stopping and buying a salad, sushi, etc and then heading to some picnic tables outside our building. That and a great book during lunch are keeping me sane.

As if losing weight, planning a wedding, and opening a new location at work aren't enough...now DH is talking about selling the house and down sizing.

:scared1:Is he nuts!?!:scared1:
