Big Win for the Temple Grandin movie

The movie on HBO about Temple Grandin won several awards last night. Best actress, best movie and more! Temple was in the audience. She stood up almost eveytime she heard her name and waved at the audience w/ a huge grin on her face. When they went up to accept the Best Movie (for TV) award she went too! She hugged the executive producer, and then asked her Mom to stand up and be recognized. Then the executive producer wished Temple a Happy Birthday.

While watching Temple stand and wave in the audience w/ that smile I couldn't help but thinking, "Of course it's on of "our kids" that stands and waves during the Emmys!" It made me smile!

That was an amazing movie and I am glad that they got the recognition they deserved.
It was obviously a highlight of Temple Grandin’s life and I am glad that she was able to participate.

I loved this movie! I had already read most of her books and had read about her work with cattle years ago, so I was hoping that the movie was an accurate portrayal of her life. Claire Danes did an amazing job. I esp. loved the parts of the movie that showed things from Temple's perspective, such as how she saw things in pictures ( remember her giggling when she "saw" animal husbandry?". I'm sorry now that I missed the Emmy awards!--Kathy
